Trend Update: Temple Mount, Passover 2016

The Bible details many temples across the span of time. The first was the Tabernacle or the Tent of Meeting as the Hebrew people wandered through the desert after their exodus from Egypt. Next was Solomon’s Temple. During the time of Jesus, Herod’s temple was in existence. Herod’s Temple was destroyed in 70 AD. It has been close to 2,000 years since the Jewish people have worshipped at their Temple in Jerusalem. The Bible speaks of a Temple during the Tribulation. Jesus will have a Millennial Temple during His reign. The book of Revelation and the prophet Isaiah speak of a Heavenly Temple and the throne room of God.

Matthew 24:15-16 “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” –Jesus

See also Mark 13:14.

2 Thessalonians 2:4 …who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

The Spring Passover of 2016 has come to an end. During the holiday approximately 850 Jews went up and on the Temple Mount during the week. Two Jewish men even bowed to the ground and began to worship. This was met with immediate resistance. It is illegal for Jews to worship on the Temple Mount per agreement and Muslim law. Public opinion and perception are changing. Jewish people are wanting to go and pray on the Temple Mount. Some are being more aggressive and attempting marriages on the mount. Some are suggesting that animal sacrifices be carried out on the Temple Mount.
