Rumors are started by those that want to draw attention away from their own darkness. Jealousy & their own misery will make people talk. If you weren’t there & didn’t see it, take what you hear with a grain of salt & don’t repeat it. I could tell someone that I saw so & so talking to so & so at a quick stop & by the time it is told to 10 people…the rumor is I saw them robbing the quick stop & having sex in the get away car. Rumors are ridiculous & can destroy lives. If you are not talking good about someone, don’t talk about them at all.

James 1:26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless.

James 4:11-12 Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against his brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law & judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver & judge, he who is able to save & to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
