Our Daily Bread, Know Your Worth… Paul Beverly

self worthWhat you allow is what you get. What you allow is what you are teaching your children to accept. Only allow what builds you up & is good for you. Make sure your children are seeing an example for a healthy relationship & life. Know your worth.

Luke 12:6-7 Are not 5 sparrows sold for 2 pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs on your head are numbered. Fear not, you are of more value than many sparrows.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans of welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Have a worthy week my friends!!!

Our Daily Bread, Positive Thoughts… Featuring Paul Beverly

Can doYour thoughts set the tone for your day. Positive thoughts lead to a happier day. Each positive day makes it easier to have happy days. Your thoughts turn into words which turn into actions. This all affects those around you. Make sure you’re affecting them in a positive way.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Proverbs 17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Have a positive week my friends!!!

Love Your Enemy, Featuring Paul Beverly

We have sadly become a selfish society. We only care about ourselves & certain others. We have those that bash our President because he wants to get along with Russia & North Korea. God didn’t say to hate your enemies, he said to love them. He also said to love your neighbors as yourself. Well, your neighbors are not just like you. They are black, white, brown, red, gay, straight, tall, short, big, small, or whatever. Jesus didn’t turn anyone away because they were different. He always taught & healed in love. God didn’t say we had to agree with or do what others do, only to love them. I’ve seen enough hate to last a lifetime, let’s love instead. Don’t bash what you dislike, but do praise what you love.

Mark 12:31 The second is this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself, there is no other commandment greater than these.”

Luke 6:27 “But I say to you that hear, love your enemies. Do good to those that hate you.”

Have a loving week my friends!!!

When reading the Bible, I notice that the color of one’s skin isn’t mentioned. Many scholars believe that Moses’ wife, Zipporah, was black, along with the Queen of Sheba & many others. The Bible doesn’t mention their skin color because it isn’t relevant to God or Jesus. What’s important to God is someone’s heart. We have to stop seeing color & look at each other’s hearts & character. See a man or a woman, not as such & such colored man or woman. See each other as nothing different than yourselves. We are all God’s children & He doesn’t have favorites. Racism sucks!

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Acts 10:34 So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality.”

Have a color free week my friends!!!

Father’s Day

Psalm 127:3-5 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORDthe fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

fathers day

Family is your first friends you will have. Family will be the lasting friendships you will have. I grew up with cousins my age that I did everything with & love getting to see my kids hanging out with their cousins. They are the ones that will have your back every day. I’m lucky enough to have a huge family on all sides I get to hang out with & call my best friends. Family is love!

Psalm 133:1 A song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 27:11 Be wise, my son, and bring joy to my heart, so that I can answer him who taunts me.

Have a great Father’s Day and upcoming week my friends!!!

Just now seeing that Anthony Bourdain has died from an apparent suicide. This is incredibly sad & proves that you honestly never know what a person is struggling with or feeling on the inside. Even those that are the most successful & seem the happiest have struggles. Depression is so real & so scary. You feel you don’t matter. You feel dying is better than the pain you’re feeling. It’s a disease that puts these false feelings in your brain. I promise, every single person matters & is loved. We as a society need to choose kindness & love way more often in our lives. We can make a difference. I pray everyone can find peace in their lives. RIP Mr Bourdain.

In a world that is far too often filled with hate & cruelty, I will choose kindness & love. I know how it makes me feel when others treat me with kindness, so I’ll always try to choose to make others feel they matter as well. Let’s make love & kindness contagious.

Proverbs 19:17 Whoever generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

Proverbs 11:17 A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself.

You’ll always have the choice to be kind, choose it! It doesn’t cost a thing & is so valuable… Have a kind week my friends!!!

We can either speak praise, speak poison, or don’t speak at all. It may not always be easy but speaking poison should never be an option. If it isn’t good or uplifting, then we should keep our mouths shut. Speaking poison will only cause strife & hurt. Speaking praise into others will give them courage & hope. Choose carefully.

Be quicker to praise someone or reward them than you are to complain or put them down. They will respond a lot better to positivity. If you’re constantly negative, people will distance themselves. Positivity attracts others. Give good works in others their due.

Proverbs 3:27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.

Proverbs 12:18 There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Proverbs 21:23 Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.

Have a week full of praise my friends!!!
