Trend Update: Palestinian’s Abbas Ready for Peace with Israel, May 2017

1 Thessalonians 5:3 While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.

May 12, 2017: Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority has changed his mind. Apparently the meeting last week in Washington D.C. between President Abbas and President Trump had quite an impact. Mahmoud Abbas states his willingness for peace with Israel is “unprecedented”.

Abbas made the following statement after meeting with Trump in DC.

“We believe that we are capable and able to bring about success to our efforts, because, Mr. President, you have the determination and you have the desire to see it come to fruition and become successful.”  -Palestinian Authority President Abbas

Abbas has stated he is ready to reach a peace deal with Israel. Multiple statements of flexibility have been noted by Abbas in the past week. He is ready to negotiate peace talks with Israel without pre conditions under the direction of President Trump.

Palestinian advisers are apparently willing to swap land with Israel. The Palestinians are allegedly acknowledging West Bank settlements will remain part of Israel in the potential peace agreement.

President Trump for his part states he is committed to negotiating for peace between the two parties.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel has not said much publically on the issue.

Peace talks look to resume after May 22, 2017 after Trump’s trip to the Middle East region.

Last week after Abbas and Trump met in DC, the terrorist group Hamas has stated Abbas does not represent Palestine. Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri stated Abbas has no authority to negotiate. Hamas also calls Israel “illegal”.

Sami Abu Zuhri Israel National News

“No one has authorized Mahmoud Abbas to represent the Palestinian people and no one is obligated to any position he’s issued. We reject Abbas’s statement that all final status issues are solvable, because national rights belong to all Palestinians and no one person can relinquish them.” -Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri

President Abbas countered with the following statement, “Our strategic option is to bring about peace based on the vision of the two-state [solution], a Palestinian state with its capital of East Jerusalem that lives in peace and stability with the state of Israel, based on the borders of 1967.”

There appears to be a conflict in the message coming from Palestinian circles…

The Bible makes the claim the time to be concerned is when peace and safety are at hand. Currently (May 2017), there is no Temple in Jerusalem for the antichrist to defile. There is no 10 nation federation or beast on the geo-political stage. The parties are talking about meeting to negotiate for peace…

That said, pay attention.
