“Accident” at Iranian Nuclear Facility, July 2020

July 2, 2020: An “incident” has occurred at an Iranian nuclear facility in Natanz, Iran. Natanz is located about 155 miles south of the Tehran. Allegedly, there was a fire and explosion at the centrifuge facility which is under 25 feet of concrete.

The facility is home to Iran’s primary uranium enrichment. Natanz is known as the Pilot Fuel Enrichment Plant.

“No nuclear material and no potential of pollution,” Behrouz Kamalvandi, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization.

Iranian officials have offered no explanation to the cause of the fire.

However, the Iranian government has offered the following comment.

“If there are signs of hostile countries crossing Iran’s red lines in any way, especially the Zionist regime (Israel) and the United States, Iran’s strategy to confront the new situation must be fundamentally reconsidered.”

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated, “I don’t address these issues.”

June 30, 2020: A gas explosion took place at a medical facility in northern Tehran. 19 people are reported to have died. Leaking gas tanks are the reported cause.

A week earlier, a massive explosion was reported southeast of Tehran in Parchin. This explosion was also blamed on leaking gas tanks by the Iranian government.
