Seven Iranian Ships on Fire, July 2020

July 15, 2020: Seven ships have caught fire in the port city of Bushehr, Iran. Local authorities state there have been no casualties.

And stuff continues to explode and burn in Iran…

  • 26 June: Blast at a liquid fuel production facility for ballistic missiles in Khojir, close to Parchin, near Tehran; fire at power plant in Shiraz, causing a blackout
  • 30 June: Explosion at a medical clinic in Tehran, 19 people killed
  • 2 July: Blast and fire at Natanz nuclear site
  • 3 July: Large fire in Shiraz
  • 4 July: Explosion and fire in power plant in Ahwaz; chlorine gas leak at Karoun petrochemical plant in Mahshahr
  • 9 July: Gas tanks in western Tehran explode
  • 11 July: Gas cylinders explode inside the basement of an apartment building in Tehran
  • 12 July: A fire breaks out at a petrochemical facility in the southwestern Mahshahr area which was blamed on an oil leak
  • 13 July: A fire occurs at an industrial zone near Mashhad. Six gas storage tanks catch fire and one explodes.
