Romans 13:1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God.
Daniel 2:21 And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.
Psalm 75:7 But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.
One either believes God is in control of human history or He is not. Donald Trump has been elected the 47th President of the United States.
Many critics of the President Elect rightly acknowledge Trump is not a moral or righteous man. But then again, neither has any president elected before him.
Look at two examples from the past in the Bible. King David was a man after God’s heart. He was also a murderer, a manipulator, an adulterer and lustful. David abused his power. Yet, God placed him in power and used him to achieve His will.
1 Timothy 1:15-16 It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. But for this very reason I was shown mercy, so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His perfect patience as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life.
The Apostle Paul was God’s chosen messenger of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the gentile world. Before his conversion, he also murdered believers in Christ. Paul was a rebel rouser of the highest order.
So relax, Donald Trump’s will is nothing relative to God. He is in control of history.
Proverbs 21:1 The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He will.

Donald Trump also won the popular vote.
The Democrats have lost at least 4 Senate seats as of the writing of this post. The last seat to be determined is in Arizona. The Republicans appear to be on schedule to maintain control of the House of Representatives.
