The State Enforced Religion of Secularism… Phil Kulis

Posted in Culture, Phil Kulis with tags , , , , , , , on February 27, 2019 by paulthepoke

Matthew 7:14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

Those who introduce immorality into politics forfeit the objection to religious values in politics.

The cry of “separation of church and state” is conflated with the corrupted expression “freedom from religion.”

This nation and the world are becoming a state enforced religion of secularism/paganism. It consists of bondage doctrines which are that of atheism, evolution, gender confusion, child sacrifice and socialism. If you stand in opposition to those doctrines you are not recognized as having freedom to do so, but as a vile obstructionist accused of trampling on the “rights” of others. You’ll be labeled with an “ist”, “ism”, or “phobic”.

Those who desire to introduce immorality don’t realize that moral values are for our own good and protection. History has demonstrated every time that the short sighted view of immorality always ends in disaster, individually, corporately and spirituality. But history also shows that most don’t learn from history.

What is sold as the path to enlightenment is actually the wide smoothly paved road with no sudden turns and gentle downward slope to Hell.

Matthew 7:15 Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.

Predestined With Free Will: Egyptian Civil War

Posted in Egypt/Nile River, Isaiah, Prophecy with tags , , , , , on February 24, 2019 by paulthepoke

There are many examples in Scripture where God addresses individual nations. The prophet warn Russia, Turkey, Iran and others in Ezekiel 38-39. Damascus, Syria has a destructive date with destiny in Isaiah 17, Amos 1, and Jeremiah 49. Ancient Nineveh or modern-day Mosul, Iraq is warned in Nahum. Amos 1 warns modern day Lebanon. The Gaza Strip is informed of judgment in Ezekiel 25. Prophecy against Iran is noted in Jeremiah 49. And the list goes on and on and on…

The focus here is the destiny of the nation Egypt. A significant prophecy regarding the future of Egypt is located in Isaiah 19. Like every other nation, Egypt is predestined in their journey through history. God knows the collective choices they will make. God knows literally and figuratively where their road leads. The prophet Isaiah lays out the course of Egypt prior to the coming of the Messiah.

Isaiah 19:1 The oracle concerning Egypt. Behold, the LORD is riding on a swift cloud and is about to come to Egypt; the idols of Egypt will tremble at His presence, and the heart of the Egyptians will melt within them.

The first observation is that the LORD directly intervenes. God is the one pressing these events. The Hebrew word for “oracle” is massa’. Simply stated, it means a burden or load. This same word, massa’, was also the name of Ishmael’s son (Genesis 25:14). Ishmael’s name means burden. Ishmael’s mother Hagar is Egyptian (Genesis 16:1). Prophetically speaking, Hagar’s offspring were destined to carry a burden.

The LORD is coming quickly on a swift cloud. The Hebrew word for “cloud” is `ab. What is not stated in the translation is the type of cloud. It is a dark, thick cloud. The introduction states this is going to be swift, quick, and ominous. It reminds me of a supercell thunderstorm you can see rolling in on the plains.

Isaiah 19:2 “So I will incite Egyptians against Egyptians; and they will each fight against his brother and each against his neighbor, city against city and kingdom against kingdom…”

This is how God is going to bring the nation of Egypt together and return them to the LORD or Yahweh. God is going to bring about circumstances that will knit them as a unified country and be His people.

The first thing to happen is an Egyptian civil war. God says He will “incite” or cakak in the Hebrew. This word is also translated as “cover” per Strong’s Concordance. This is the same term used repeatedly in reference to the angels’ wings of the Ark of the Covenant. Their wings “covered” or cakak the Ark.

Exodus 25:20 The cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the mercy seat.

See also: Exodus 37:9, 1 Kings 8:7, 1 Chronicles 28:18b.

Figuratively, cakak can be seen as protection, hedge in, or join together.

Will the people choose to fight each other? Yes, the Egyptian people will opt to fight against one another throughout the country. But Egypt will be watched and protected by Yahweh or the LORD. The idea is to intensively, purposely weave together the Egyptians against each other repeatedly.

God is in control regardless of our actions. He can overcome our repeated bad decisions.

Please Don’t Use Me… Christine McDonald

We have to acknowledge the intersection between poverty and homelessness as a platform for individuals to be vulnerable to be trafficked. Males are often labor trafficked, and females fall victim to commercial exploitation. We can’t continue to turn a blind eye to this population and its targeting by traffickers seeking victims to exploit for their financial gain.

There are times when we all want to slip into the crowds unnoticed, but there is still a part of us that deeply longs to be known and seen and cared for. Jesus offers this to believers, and being known by the Creator of the Universe is the most profound “knowing” we could possibly experience. However, the world around us is full of broken individuals who feel invisible because they don’t yet know Christ, and the rest of humanity either ignores them or only sees them when they can be used.

In John Chapter 4, we read the story of Jesus and his conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well. The most profound aspect of the story isn’t that Jesus calls her out for being married multiple times. Nor is it that He knows that the man she is currently living with isn’t her husband. What is profound is that He truly knew her. He saw her. Because Jesus was able to see her, when He offered her living water, she believed.

When we claim to feel moved by the hurts and sufferings of others, yet we fail to truly see those who are hurting as individuals, our efforts to relieve suffering or bring healing fail. Sometimes such efforts even do more harm.

God doesn’t ask us to take on the world, but to offer the world hope. We are His ambassadors to a hurting world. Being intentional and thoughtful in our interactions can go a long way in offering hope to those in our sphere of influence. What if we open our hearts to Him, and let Him help us see those around us as He does?

Each and every soul on this planet was fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14)

Each one is a treasure to the One we love most. He is calling us to see them as precious treasures, too.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning…

February 21, 2019: Israel is scheduled to launch their first satellite to the moon. Israel looks to join Russia, China, and the United States and land a craft on the moon. The Beresheet lunar craft will be launched on top the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket at 8:45 p.m. EST from Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Beresheet was created by a non profit company SpaceIL and Israel Aerospace Industries. The cost of the journey is $100 million. The craft would be the first privately funded project to land on the moon.

The trip to the moon will take 8 weeks. The 5 foot craft is scheduled to land on the moon April 11, 2019. See the video below from SpaceIL for the lunar landing plan.

For more details on the launch. See the link below.

Straight Talk, Expecting God’s Glory… Rodna Epley

John 15:7-8 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask (declare) what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

These are the “greater works” Jesus said we would do in John 14:12 which we are now able to do under the New Covenant because Jesus went to the Father of glory – the source of all healing and miracles.

John 14:12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.

All glory has been restored to Jesus and Jesus is pouring out to us now the very same glory He received before the world was, from glory to glory (John 17:5,22; 2 Corinthians 3:18).

“Peter directed this man’s attention to that glory within him (Peter). He declared it was something that he possessed. This glory was about to be released through his spoken words that were given to him by the Holy Spirit. It would then be known that it was the glory that would transform this lame man’s condition he had since birth.” -Larry Thompson

Expect it.
Receive it.
Enjoy it.
Release it. -Larry Thompson

Expect it!
Acts 3:4-5 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, ‘Look at us.’ So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.

Receive it!
Acts 3:6-7 Then Peter said, ‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.’ And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

Enjoy it!
Acts 3:8-9 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them walking, leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God.

Release it!
Acts 3:9-10 And all the people saw him walking and praising God. Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

Just believe the Word and know that healing and the answer to whatever you need is available to you today. Have that hope within you (Colossians 1:27) until you receive the manifestation of His glory in your life.

Colossians 1:27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

It’s coming! Don’t give up! God loves you way more than you could ever imagine and He is perfecting everything.

Predestined With Free Will: Nations and Their Foreign Policy

Posted in Jude, Prophecy with tags , , , , , , , , , on February 19, 2019 by paulthepoke

Psalm 115:2-3 Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” Our God is in the heavens; He does all that He pleases.

God claims He is the One who controls the destiny of nations and history. He is the ultimate authority.

Do politicians and countries choose their foreign policy? Sure they do. Countries make strategic decisions and direction. In today’s world, we are currently watching politicians discuss “peace and security in the Middle East”. Do you think world leaders are consulting God and His will in their potential actions? Do world leaders even consider God as they plot their course?

Will nations be held accountable for their decisions and how they relate to God’s chosen people? Yes they will. God will have a response.

Isaiah 17:12-13 Ah, the thunder of many peoples; they thunder like the thundering of the sea! Ah, the roar of nations; they roar like the roaring of mighty waters! The nations rumble on like the rumbling of many waters, But He will rebuke them and they will flee far away, and be chased like chaff in the mountains before the wind, or like whirling dust before a gale.

The attitude exhibited in Isaiah 17 is consistent with today’s world leaders. They talk tough and threaten each other with guaranteed destruction. Nations impose economic sanctions and create various trade deals with their partners. Their design is to protect their interests and inflict hardship on their adversaries. Israel’s enemies threaten to shove the Jews into the Mediterranean on a daily basis. Kingdoms against kingdoms are promising to blow the hell out of each other.

Despite all these human instruments of death and tragedy, God compares the nations and their bravado to chaff and dust. He is the wind. God is the gale. Chaff and dust have no control. These light weight particles are at the mercy of air currents. He is the wind who steers the nations. To quote the song from Kansas, “All we are is dust in the wind.”

Nuclear weapons and 21st century instruments of warfare are no match for God and His plan for history. Humans love thumping their chests and showing off their explosive toys. Which country can bring about the most destruction? These are ultimately no match. God will preserve Israel.

Isaiah 54:15-17 If anyone stirs up strife, it is not from Me; whoever stirs up strife with you shall fall because of you. Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals and produces a weapon for its purpose. I have also created the ravager to destroy; no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their vindication from Me, declares the LORD.

In Psalm 79, we see this mindset in the world today. People question whether or not there is a god let alone the God of the Bible. A time is coming when the world will question Israel whether or not their God is real. But, God will respond.

Psalm 79:10 Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” Let the avenging of the outpoured blood of your servants be known among the nations before our eyes!

Recession in Europe, Michael Douville

Proverbs 22:3 The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.

Recession may be starting in Europe!

Real Estate is an illiquid asset, tenants and leases and sales and marketing and escrows take time. The timing model clearly indicates slowdown and for over a year the warnings have been very clear. The slowdown is now fact and price declines are starting to become visible.

Europe is teetering on the edge of a Recession. A Recession with Historic Debt and non-existent Interest rates!

New data shows Central Bank Intervention in the Global markets; markets react quickly as seen in the  recent runup. However, the liquidity lag time for the general Economy is easily a few quarters and may be too late to avoid a Recession.

Economic indications indicate Italy and the Netherlands have entered into recession. How should we prepare for global economic recession.

Is the Powerhouse of Europe, Germany, heading into Recession? What will this mean for the United States?

A Recession now could be EPIC! It also coincides with the Timing Model; the precursor to the ‘Explosive” Phase.

Putin, Erdogan, Rouhani Meet in Sochi, February 2019

As the West was holding their Middle East Peace and Security Conference in Warsaw, Poland… Russian President Vladimir Putin hosted his allies of Turkey and Iran in Sochi, Russia. The topic was peace and security in Syria.

Photo: Al Monitor

All three countries praised the idea of the United States pulling out of Syria.

“It would be a positive step that would help stabilize the situation in this region, where ultimately the legitimate government should re-establish control.” -Russian President Vladimir Putin

Putin believed political stability is possible in Syria.

Iran’s President Rouhani was not so sure about the American intent to leave Syria.

“We have no optimism about what the Americans say… but if they do withdraw, it will be very good news,” Iranian President Rouhani

The three countries also agreed to continue to coordinate the management of Syria.

Rouhani did not see much point in the Warsaw talks.

“We see what’s happening in Warsaw, it’s an empty result, nothing.” -President Rouhani of Iran

Ezekiel 38:1-3 The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him and say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.

Ezekiel 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet…

Ezekiel 38:6 Gomer and all his hordes; Beth-Togarmah from the uttermost parts of the north with all his hordes—many peoples are with you.

Russia will be joined by several countries with their future invasion of Israel (Ezekiel 38-39). Two of those countries will be modern day Iran and Turkey.

“There is peace and security…”

Currently, there is no peace and no security. Politicians are talking about achieving peace and security. Eventually they will declare, peace and security.

The headlines do make one wonder. How close are we to the remainder of the verse?

Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia???

Posted in Egypt/Nile River, Saudi Arabia/Sheba/Dedan with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on February 14, 2019 by paulthepoke

Exodus 3:1 Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Midian is a son of Abraham and Keturah. This occurred after the death of Sarah.

Genesis 25:2 She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.

Midian settled in what is modern day northwest Saudi Arabia. The location is east of the Gulf of Suez. This is east of the Sinai Peninsula. And this is east of the Gulf of Aqaba.

Per Strong’s Concordance, there are 59 references to Midian in the Old Testament.

According to the Bible, this is the location where Moses led the Hebrew people after the Exodus from Egypt.

Horeb, the mountain of God… Horeb means: waste or desolate.

This is also the likely location of Elijah the prophet when he escaped Jezebel.

1 Kings 19:8-9 And he arose and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mount of God. There he came to a cave and lodged in it. And behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

There is also the comments of the Apostle Paul regarding the location of Mount Sinai.

Galatians 4:25 Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present-day Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children.

The following is from https://www.jabalmaqla.com/

There is a long-standing academic consensus that the story of the Exodus is entirely, or almost entirely, a myth.

This conclusion is partially based on research assuming that the traditional candidate for Mount Sinai in the southern part of Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula is legitimate. Although some experts believe in the credibility of that tradition, many have come away disappointed with the evidence (or lack thereof) found since the area has been heavily excavated in recent decades. The result has been a widespread rejection of the historicity of the Exodus story and proposals for over a dozen other mountains as possible candidates for Mount Sinai.

This website is dedicated to the candidacy of Jabal Maqla, which is part of the Jabal al-Lawz mountain range in northwestern Saudi Arabia. The creators of this website currently find this candidacy to offer the most compelling evidence.

Click on the link for video.

However, research regarding this candidacy has been severely limited due to a lack of access to outsiders, with aspiring visitors being arrested, threatened, harassed and blocked by Saudi security or hostile locals who believe foreigners are to be kept out of the area. The authors of this website are among a tiny group of Westerners to successfully visit the sites in question.

The purpose of this website is to compile all of the relevant information about the theory and its purported evidences so those interested can have a single comprehensive source. The website will be updated as ongoing research yields new information.

This website is a project of the Doubting Thomas Research Foundation, and is dedicated to documenting the true location of Biblical Mt. Sinai. Among the many sites proposed, this particular location in northwestern Saudi Arabia is the best candidate for where the Israelites traveled after fleeing slavery in Egypt. As we continue to study this subject, we remain firmly dedicated to intellectual honesty and integrity, and if new information arises that suggests another location, we will follow the evidence until it leads us to the truth, wherever that may be.

This website is LOADED with all kinds of thought provoking information and photographs. Check it out… https://www.jabalmaqla.com/
