Ezekiel 38:12 to capture spoil and to seize plunder, to turn your hand against the waste places which are now inhabited, and against the people who are gathered from the nations, who have acquired cattle and goods, who live at the center of the world.

These are the intentions of Gog, the leader of Magog (Russia). The Russians along with Turkey, Iran, and others are going to invade to steal natural resources from Israel.

Resurrection Consequences

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Prophecy, Resurrection, Spring Feasts with tags , , , , , on April 19, 2019 by paulthepoke

There are two words used for the concept of “resurrection”. Here is how the words can be translated from the original Greek. The first example is in the verse below.

1 Corinthians 15:13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised;

The Greek word for “resurrection” is αναστασισ/anastasis. It means: raising up, rising (e.g. from a seat); a rising from the dead; that of Christ; that of all men at the end of this present age. -Strong’s Concordance

The second example is “raised”.

1 Corinthians 15:4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…

The Greek word for “raised” is εγειρο/egeiro”. It means: to awake, to arouse from the sleep of death, to recall the dead to life. -Strong’s Concordance

With the resurrection of Christ, Psalm 16:10 was prophetically fulfilled.

Psalm 16:10 For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.

With His death, Jesus did not stay in Sheol or Hades or the grave (see Ephesians 8-10). There was no decomposition of His body.

Acts 2:31 Foreseeing this, David spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that He was not abandoned to Hades, nor did His body see decay.

Without Jesus’ resurrection, our faith is described as “vain” and “worthless”.

1 Corinthians 15:14b …your faith is also in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.

The Greek word for “vain” is κενοσ/kenos. It means: empty, devoid of truth; contains nothing; empty handed; without a gift; fruitless; no purpose.

The Greek word for “worthless” is ματαιοσ/mataios. It means: devoid of force, truth, success, result; useless, of no purpose. -Definitions per Strong’s Concordance

This is our faith without the resurrection of Christ. Without Jesus’ resurrection, there is no hope for our bodies. We are dead and buried, a corrupt and purposeless mess, an empty shell.

If we are not resurrected in the future, then Christ’s resurrection in the past did not occur. We have historical proof of Jesus overcoming death with hundreds of witnesses. We know what happened to Jesus. This observation is stated at least twice by Paul. That’s the security and truth of our future resurrection.

1 Corinthians 15:13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised…

1 Corinthians 15:16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised;

The resurrection of Jesus is the power of God. The resurrection validates and authenticates Christ’s death on the cross which is the payment for sin. The resurrection is dominance over death. It proved Jesus was Deity. Jesus was literally raised out of, from among the dead. He is the first of the resurrection. Without the Jesus’ resurrection, there is no hope for our bodies. He is the guarantee our resurrection. Without it, our faith is pointless. The promise of the resurrection is the re-connection of our body, soul, and spirit into a glorified body.

God the Father will judge the world through His Son Jesus. Based on what, the fact of the resurrection.

Acts 17:31 because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”

The Most Important Decision Of Your Life

Featuring Dave Panico

If I asked you what the most important decision of your life is, what would that be? Would it be your Career? Choosing your spouse? What car to drive? Where to Live? Where to invest money?

These are all important decisions, but they are all worldly/earthly but are useless in the long term (except for choosing your Spouse). We have maybe 80 to 100 years here on earth and then we die. Now what happens? Does the car, investments, house, status career matter now? No, it does not.

When we leave this earth, we are then faced with the reality of who Jesus Christ is. We will see him face to face. All our stuff will not matter. What will matter is if we have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in our earthly life and lived a life of following Him and doing His work in the earthy world.

This week we come to Easter which celebrates Jesus conquering the plans of the Devil and defeating him. Jesus defeated the devil (Satan) on the cross. The devil didn’t want Jesus to go to the cross. If Jesus did not go the cross the Devil would have won and there would be no hope of Heaven. Jesus had to pay the price to be literally slaughtered for our sin (mistakes – screw ups) so we could get into Heaven and have eternal life with Jesus. This was an act of love and Jesus CHOSE to do this. No one took His life. He gave it willingly for you, for me and for every human. This was the ultimate sacrifice and a very precious gift. The question is why would you or anyone refuse to accept this gift? How does one refuse the gift? By rejecting Jesus Christ.

I hear about veterans who sacrificed their lives to give us the freedom we have in this country. When we refuse to vote or do our part, we are rejecting the sacrifice /gift that the veterans gave us.

I want to ask you if you have accepted Jesus? If Not, I’d like to know your reasons. Feel free to email me. After all this is the most important decision of your life.

When you accept Jesus, you not only make an investment in your life but others as well. Jesus has the power, wisdom, love, everything you need for your life. He’s not Political so there’s no bribing or corruption with Him. (I like this part). Did you also know there will be more rewards in heaven than what you can obtain in this earthly world?

Oh, I should mention that Jesus did raise from the dead after being brutally slaughtered and then appeared to over 500 people. This is when He defeated the devil, and this is what Easter is all about.

1 Corinthians 15:3-10 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep; then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles; and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also. For I am the least of the apostles, and not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me. Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

“The event used to be treated as incitement by extremists. Several secular media and filmmakers are attending these events on a regular basis and have come to realize that this is not political or extremist. This is an educational reenactment of something that was an essential element of the Jewish people that is explicitly described in the Bible. When the media view the reenactment in that light, they are very accepting.” -Rabbi Mordechai Persoff, Head of the Mikdash Educational Center

Preview: God’s Spring Appointed Holidays 5779/2019

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Gospel, Prophecy, Spring Feasts, Trend Update with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on April 14, 2019 by paulthepoke

There are seven God appointed holidays communicated through the Old Testament Law. The first three spring holidays were fulfilled on the appointed holiday by Jesus Himself. The names of the feasts are: Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits.

springfeast

In the Hebrew year 5779 or the Gregorian calendar year of 2019, the holidays occur as follows. Passover essentially begins at sunset on Friday, April 19 on a western calendar. The first day of Unleavened Bread is the next day at sunset on Saturday, April 20. Lastly, the feast of First Fruits starts at sunset on Sunday, April 21.

Please note, there is not consensus on these dates within various studies of Judaism and Jewish Messianic believers in Yeshua or Jesus Christ. When in doubt, search for the new moon and full moon. Humanity struggles to keep time as God has directed.

The first of God’s holidays is Passover or Pesach in the Hebrew. The holiday begins on the 14th day of the Hebrew month Nisan (March or April on a Gregorian calendar). There is a play on words in the original Hebrew. A “pesach” is an unblemished lamb which was required for the sacrifice. After the “pesach” was sacrificed, the blood was to be smeared on the wooden posts of the house. When God saw the blood on the door posts, He passed over or “pasach” and the house was spared judgment.

The original directions for the Passover were given to Moses and Aaron in Egypt. The statute and happenings are noted in Exodus 12. God defines the purpose of the holiday to Israel.

Exodus 12:26-27a “And when your children say to you, ‘What does this rite mean to you?’ you shall say, ‘It is a Passover sacrifice to the LORD who passed over the houses of the sons of Israel in Egypt when He smote the Egyptians, but spared our homes.’”

~

The second of God’s holidays is Unleavened Bread or Chag haMatazt in the Hebrew. The holiday begins on the 15th of Nisan and runs for seven days.

The directions of Unleavened Bread are noted in Exodus 12:15-20. The focus of the week is to live a life without leaven, the symbol for sin. Leaven is not to be in the house. Leaven products are not to be consumed. Bread without yeast, matzah, is to be eaten.

~

The third of God’s holidays is First Fruits or Reshit Katzir in the Hebrew. The one day holiday begins on the day after the Sabbath or Sunday on our calendar.

The directions for First Fruits are noted in Leviticus 23:9-14. The priest is to make a barley offering of the first portion of the harvest to the Lord. The priest intervenes of behalf of the people. The reality of the holiday for the people of Israel is this. The people bring their grain sheaf to the priest. They are to sacrifice a lamb without blemish. The offering is also to be presented with bread and wine.

“Religiosity”

Mark 8:22-26 And they came to Bethsaida. And they brought a blind man to Jesus and implored Him to touch him. Taking the blind man by the hand, He brought him out of the village; and after spitting on his eyes and laying His hands on him, He asked him, “Do you see anything?” And he looked up and said, “I see men, for I see them like trees, walking around.” Then again He laid His hands on his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly. And He sent him to his home, saying, “Do not even enter the village.”

Christine McDonald recently spoke at First Baptist Church North Kansas City. She spoke about Jesus, the blind man at Bethsaida, and “Religiosity” in the church. Click on the link below for her presentation.
