The result was $1 trillion of Saudi investment into the United States.

For the record, I do not have a side in this mess between Russia and Ukraine. I believe this situation was started in part by weak leadership in the West. I am not interested in this conflict escalating and spreading.

Many Americans do not agree to continue to support Ukraine. Millions of Americans are disgusted by our government’s choices. The American people do want innocent people harmed.

Hamas says they have agreed to a cease fire brokered by Egypt and Qatar. Israel says the terms of the plan were not reached. Israel is moving ahead with their military plans in Rafah.

“In the terrible Holocaust, there were great world leaders who stood by idly; therefore, the first lesson of the Holocaust is: If we do not defend ourselves, nobody will defend us. And if we need to stand alone, we will stand alone,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Bible tells us, ultimately, Israel will be alone and no country will come to their defense.

On This Week in Prophecy: The Saudis name their terms for peace with the Israelis. They want to develop nuclear power, for peaceful purposes of course. In this edition of The Watchmen… Israel has a new Prime Minister and he is Yair Lapid. The former government and leadership under Naftali Bennett has collapsed. As of now, elections to form a new government in Israel are set for November 1, 2022. Speculation is running rampant on coalition formations. Politics do make for strange bed fellows. One situation has a conservative rabbi and an Arab looking to help form a government led by Benjamin Netanyahu. Expect more twists and turns.

Currently, Israel is suffering from a lack of leadership. Are we watching a trend that will result in the appointment of a really evil leader?

Hezbollah launched an attack from Lebanon to the Karish gas field in the Mediterranean Sea. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stepped in and destroyed three drones intended for the drilling rig. The international boundary remains a point of contention for Lebanon and segments of the international community.

Russia is watching and will ultimately intervene according the Prophet Ezekiel 38-39. President Vladimir Putin has stated he wants to control the flow of oil and gas from east to west into Europe. President Biden is making a trip to the Middle East this week. He looks to stop in Israel, Palestine (as he sees it), and Saudi Arabia. Biden will visit with Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed bin Salman. The Saudis feel betrayed by the Biden Administration. The Saudis have openly discussed the notion of oil payments in the Chinese Yuan. The ripple effects could be staggering. In a little over a week, Turkish President Recep Erdogan faced the lowest of lows and the highest of highs. First, Erdogan had an abysmal meeting with the Saudi’s Mohammed bin Salman, then Turkey agreed to accept Finland and Sweden into NATO. Erdogan reached an agreement. His vote of acceptance was bought at the price of American F16’s and labeling the Kurds terrorists.

Food is under attack!

Russia continues with its invasion of Ukraine. Wheat fields are being set on fire. Mines are being placed in fields resulting in the destruction of farm equipment. Mines are being set in destroyed sea ports. Grain exportation to other parts of the region and world are severely hampered.

What started out as a farmer protest in the Netherlands is spreading. The Dutch are major food exporters across Europe from the north. Farmers across Europe are beginning to show their muscle. The rallying cry is a simple one. “No farmers, no food.”

Farmers are protesting “green energy” policies which are restricting. Government authorities state “targets introduced last month (are) to reduce harmful nitrogen compounds by 2030, (which) are necessary in emissions of nitrogen oxides from farm animal manure and from the use of ammonia in fertilizer.”

Government Authorities have responded by opening fire on farmers with guns. Tear gas has been released. Dogs have been unleashed. Fines have been levied.

Farmer protests have spread to Poland, Germany, and Italy.

Food security complications continue to grow across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

What we are witnessing in Sri Lanka is the end result…

A hallmark of the beginning of the tribulation is hyperinflation as noted in Revelation 6 which leads to global famine. Revelation 6 talks of a time when it will cost a day’s wage just to eat. Inflation is in the headlines. Food security continues to be a growing issue. We are trending and living in times as described by John the Revelator. We should pay attention.

Israel Joins the East Mediterranean Gas Forum, September 2020

September 22, 2020: Today, Israel has become a member of the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF). The virtual conference was hosted in Cairo, Egypt. Current members include Egypt, Jordan, Greece, Cyprus, Italy and the Palestinian Authority. The goal of the group is to supply Europe with 10% of its natural gas needs.

Of note, France wants to be a member of the forum. The European Union and the United States are “observers”.

The EastMed Pipeline is estimated to cost $8 billion and will deliver up to 12 billion cubic meters of gas annually to Europe. The EastMed will be the deepest under sea pipeline. The line is estimated to be 1,250 miles (2,000 kilometers) long.

Israel discovered natural gas off their coast in the Mediterranean in October 2015. There is enough gas for Israel to be energy independent and a significant exporter to western Europe. These gas fields are set to be ready for production in 2021.

Currently, Russia is the largest exporter of natural gas to Europe.

These are the intentions of Gog, the leader of Magog (Russia). The Russians, along with the Turks and Iranians are planning to invade. Their motivation is economic. They want to steal natural resources from Israel.

Turkey has not been included the East Mediterranean Gas Forum. Of course the Turks will join forces with the Russians. These are the countries who stand to lose out economically because of the EMGF.

Ezekiel 38:13 Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all its leaders will say to you, ‘Have you come to seize spoil? Have you assembled your hosts to carry off plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to seize great spoil?’

Historically, per Strong’s Concordance and NET Bible, Raamah settled in the southwest of the Arabian Peninsula. Sheba settled in the southern Arabian Peninsula. Dedan settled in the northern Arabian Peninsula. Dedan was an ancient capital of Saudi Arabia. It is modern day Al Ula in northwest Saudi Arabia. These areas make up what is modern day Saudi Arabia.

In light of recent Middle East peace developments and Biblical prophecy, don’t be surprised if Saudi Arabia has an agreement for normalized relations with Israel.

Today, Israel wishes Saudi Arabia congratulations on their 90th national year as a country. Israel expresses a future “with goodness and blessing in light of security, safety and prosperity, with our wishes for an atmosphere of peace, cooperation and good neighborliness.”

According to Ezekiel’s prophecy, it would appear modern day Saudi Arabia along with at least Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Jordan will protest the potential Russian invasion. Prophecy seems to indicate there will be more countries in this coalition with Israel.

The winds of change may be blowing in Saudi Arabia. The Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is arresting his relatives. Prince Ahmed; his son Prince Nayef bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, Head of Land Forces Intelligence and Security Authority; the former Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef; and his half brother Nawaf have been accused of attempting a coup… allegedly.

And the list is growing. The latest out of Saudi Arabia indicates at least 20 have been detained.

The move coincides with a failed OPEC meeting where member nations failed to agree on oil production cuts. The result was 10% drop in oil prices. Brent crude settled at $45.18 a barrel. Oil revenues are the heart beat of the Saudi economy. Revenue created from the sale of oil provides stipends and services to Saudi citizens.

The Saudis have recently re opened the holy sites in Mecca and Medina amid concerns of the coronavirus, COVID 19. The Saudi kingdom had requested pilgrims to not come visit at this time. Now, visitors must wait 14 days of screening before being allowed to enter Saudi Arabia. As of the writing of this post, Saudi Arabia has 5 documented cases of COVID 19.

The internet and social media rumor mill are running wild about the health and well being of King Salman. There are multiple unconfirmed reports the king has died.

Sheba and Dedan are first mentioned in Genesis 10.

Genesis 10:7 The sons of Cush were Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.

The family tree starts with Noah, then his son Ham, then his son Cush, then his son Raamah and his sons Sheba and Dedan.

Historically, per Strong’s Concordance and NET Bible, Raamah settled in the southwest of the Arabian Peninsula. Sheba settled in the southern Arabian Peninsula. Dedan settled in the northern Arabian Peninsula. These areas make up what is modern day Saudi Arabia.

Dedan was an ancient capital of Saudi Arabia. It is modern day Al Ula in northwest Saudi Arabia.
