Concerning the Rapture… Mike Brotherton

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Prophecy, Rapture with tags , , , on September 29, 2019 by paulthepoke

Concerning Jesus’ return for the church, we are told to keep watch and always be ready. Some are foolish and set dates while others seek Him out through the Scriptures to determine what to look for.

Those who come to expect the Lord during the feast days are hopeful. We have learned of the fulfillment of the feasts which in the past were fulfilled on the very day of their feasts. It only stands to reason He will fulfill the last 3 on the day of their remembrance as well.

Although no one knows the day or the hour or the year, we can know the season… so we watch and make others aware of the meaning of the feasts or other prophecies. Being hopeful and keeping watch are what we are supposed to be doing as faithful stewards of the Word. Some get overzealous due to the abundance of prophecies being fulfilled. And knowing the signs of the times, they cry out with hope and expectation.

We or they are not being false prophets. We are expressing our hope and great desire to see the Lord and to go to our new home in glory. It is out of an abundance of love for God and our fellow saints that we prognosticate. We are all as Christians continually growing and learning the faith. We all make mistakes. It is when we twist the Scripture purposely for our own glory that we can be seen as false prophets. But the vast majority of us who speak in expectation are sincerely looking for our blessed hope. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sanhedrin Looks to Replace United Nations and Re-Enacts Noahide Sacrifice

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Prophecy, Sanhedrin, Trend Update with tags , , , , , on September 28, 2019 by paulthepoke

Genesis 8:20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD and took some of every clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

The following article (italics) is from Breaking Israel News.

The Sanhedrin is advocating for the establishment of an Organization of 70 nations based on Mount Zion and as part of this effort, facilitated an animal sacrifice to renew the covenant that Noah made in the name of all mankind with God when he exited the Ark. That sacrifice took place on Thursday on the Mount of Olives. I reported on the event and would like to give a personal account here but first I feel I must begin with several disclaimers…

https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/137884/the-70-nations-sacrifice-on-the-mount-of-olives-a-personal-account/

Before everyone in the Christian community gets all excited and freaks out about animal sacrifices… A few thoughts on the article.

Yes, this was an animal sacrifice. This was not a sin offering. The point was to renew Noah’s covenant on behalf of the gentile world. This sacrifice was not taking the place of Jesus.

Yes, Jesus is our sacrifice for our sins. And yes, animal sacrifices for sin are no longer necessary.

Hebrews 7:27 He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since He did this once for all when He offered up Himself.

Hebrews 10:10 And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Hebrews 10:12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God…

Hebrews 9:13-14 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

Photo: Breaking Israel News

Yes, the animal sacrificial system will be re-instituted in Jerusalem. It is inevitable. This is a sign of the time leading up to the return of Christ. It is prophecy from Jesus Himself as He quoted the prophet Daniel.

Yes, the verses below from Daniel indicate there will be a Temple standing at this time. The Temple is going to happen. And yes, as believers in Christ our bodies are the temple indwelled with the Holy Spirit.

Daniel 9:27 And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.

Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days.

Please consider how to approach any one who does not believe in Jesus or Yeshua as Jews know His name. Please read the article and understand a Jewish mindset who does not believe in Yeshua.

I would encourage followers of Christ to approach those who do not know Yeshua in kindness, grace, and mercy. Go easy. Eventually, they are going take this very personally. This is how God or Hashem is going to reach His chosen people.

Zechariah 12:10 I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.

The Feast of Trumpets and the Rapture of The Church

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Fall Feasts, Prophecy, Rapture with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on September 25, 2019 by paulthepoke

Featuring Mike Brotherton

Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah begins Sundown September 29 thru Sundown October 1, 2019. It is believed by many to represent the coming of the Groom for His bride. There are other “theories” but I lean toward the Feast of Trumpets.

1. All the Spring Feasts were fulfilled at Christ’s first coming and on the exact day of the feast. All the Fall Feasts picture the second advent. And the Feast of Trumpets is the first of the fall feasts picturing the rapture.

2. The Feast of Trumpets is when the “last trump” of the rapture of 1 Corinthians 15 is blown. 99 short blasts are blown. Then there is one long final blast known as the “last trump”. 1 Corinthians 15:52 …in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

3. The Feast of Trumpets is known as the Wedding of the Messiah. The Church is the Bride of Christ. The rapture is when the Church is caught up to Heaven to be wed with Christ.

4. The Feast of Trumpets happens on a “new moon”, which is 29.5 days after the last one. This means it might occur on the 29th or 30th day, nobody knows for sure. “Of that day or hour no man knows” is an expression referring to this feast, and thus, the rapture.

5. “Of that day or hour no man knows, but my Father only” is an expression used by a Jewish groom when asked when his wedding will be. He says this because it is his Father that will tell him when his preparations on the bridal chamber are completed and it is time. Again, the wedding pictures the rapture.

6. The “Open Door” of the rapture in Matthew 25, Revelation 3, & Revelation 4:1 is a symbol of the Feast of Trumpets. Ezekiel 46:1 “Thus says the Lord GOD: The gate of the inner court that faces east shall be shut on the six working days; but on the sabbath day it shall be opened and on the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

7. We are told that the new moon and the Feasts of the Lord are a shadow of things to come in Colossians 2:16,17. Since the Feast of Trumpets is the only Feast of the Lord that falls on a new moon, we should take particular note. Colossians 2:16-17 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.

8. There are 10 Days of Awe in between the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement. These picture the years of tribulation. (I believe there will be 10 years of tribulation. Although not all are included in the 7 years thought to be THE TRIBULATION. The seal judgments are not part of what is referred to as the tribulation period. They are pre Daniel’s 70th week.)

Atonement pictures Satan being defeated and cast away at the end of tribulation. If you add the two day Trumpet’s feast, and the Day of Atonement, the 7 Days of Awe are “ten days of tribulation” which might be referred to in Revelation 2:10. Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.

9. In the Jewish Wedding, a marriage takes place over a period of time known as the “bridal week”. During the bridal week, the groom and bride have sex in the bridal chamber. At the end of the week, there is a marriage supper. Compare Judges 14, Revelation 19, and Genesis 29:22-28. This bridal week will be the tribulation week on Earth, while the bride of Christ is in Heaven.

10. The Feast of Trumpets is also known as the Coronation of the Messiah. Then He will start reigning as king, thus the beginning of the “Day of the Lord”, which includes the tribulation.

11. In the Jewish Wedding, the groom is at his Father’s house.

12. It is also time for the Bema judgment, or the judgment of the works of the righteous, and judgment must begin at the house of the Lord.

God’s Fall Appointments, 5780/2019

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Fall Feasts, Prophecy, Trend Update with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on September 21, 2019 by paulthepoke

God’s fall appointments are the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles. Below is a brief 10 minute video that provides a framework for God’s fall appointed holidays.

http://www.theseasonofreturn.com

Numbers 29:1 ‘Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall also have a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work. It will be to you a day for blowing trumpets.

See also Leviticus 23:23-25.

The first fall holiday has many names. It is called the Feast of Trumpets by Christians. It is recognized as the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. Some refer to it as the “Hidden Day” or the “Wedding of the Messiah”. In Judaism, it is called Yom Teruah which means the “Day of Blowing”.

It is the beginning of the civil new year. This is the Hebrew month of Tishri. It is the Hebrew year 5780.

The date for Yom Teruah is near Sunday, September 29 or Monday, September 30, 2019 (traditional Gregorian calendar). This date is confirmed pending the sighting of the new moon. The new year begins when the new moon is confirmed by two witnesses. Yom Teruah ends two days later. The confirmation of the new moon will ultimately determine the dates of the subsequent fall appointments.

https://paulthepoke.com/2014/09/28/yom-teruahrosh-hashanahfeast-of-trumpets-part-3/

The second fall holiday is the Day of Atonement. See Leviticus 16. Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement is celebrated on Tishri 10th. It is the last day of the 40 day period of Teshuvah or repent in the Hebrew. This holiday is viewed at the holiest day of Judaism. The day is a Sabbath day of rest. Yom Kippur is the only day a fast is required. The day begins at sun down. This is the busiest day of the year for the high priest with multiple animal sacrifices. The beginning for the Day of Atonement in 2019 is Tuesday, October 8 or Wednesday, October 9 at sun down. This date is ultimately determined by the confirmation of the new moon.

https://paulthepoke.com/2014/09/21/yom-kippurday-of-atonement/

Leviticus 23:33-36 Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the LORD. On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work of any kind. For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the LORD; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work.’”

The third and last fall holiday on God’s calendar is Tabernacles. It is also called Sukkot, the Feast of Booths, the Festival of Tents, or the Feast of the Harvest because it was after the harvest in the fall. Simply put, it was also called “the feast” or “the festival”. This festival is a week-long festival from Tishri 15 to 21 on a Hebrew calendar. On our western Gregorian calendar, in 2019, the Feast of Tabernacles will be observed from Sunday, October 13 or Monday, October 14,  again pending the new moon confirmed at the beginning of the Hebrew month of Tishri.

https://paulthepoke.com/2014/06/09/isaiah-12-jesus-and-the-water-of-life/

There are seven God appointed holidays communicated through the Old Testament Law. The first four were fulfilled to the day by Jesus Himself with His death, burial, resurrection, and the giving of the Holy Spirit. If the first four spring holidays were fulfilled on the God appointed holiday, why would the fall holidays be any different?

Egyptians Protest President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, September 2019

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Egypt/Nile River, Prophecy with tags , , on September 20, 2019 by paulthepoke

Developing Story…

September 20, 2019: Opposition and demonstrations have broken out across Egypt against President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The masses are calling for the President to step down from his post.

The people have been stirred by actor and construction business owner Mohamed Ali. He complained the Egyptian government did not pay his company for construction projects completed. There were complaints of government corruption. So Ali took to social media…

https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/hashtag-critical-sisi-trends-worldwide-after-videos-exposing-corruption

Isaiah 19:1-2 The oracle concerning Egypt. Behold, the LORD is riding on a swift cloud and is about to come to Egypt; the idols of Egypt will tremble at His presence, and the heart of the Egyptians will melt within them. “So I will incite Egyptians against Egyptians; and they will each fight against his brother and each against his neighbor, city against city and kingdom against kingdom.

Let me be perfectly clear with Isaiah 19. I am not saying that the current events in Egypt are the beginning of the passages and prophecies regarding the end times. Egypt is part of the end times scenario in Scripture. This bears watching.

Remember how quickly this spread in February of 2011 during the Arab Spring? It took less than three weeks to overthrow then President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt.

There are no time markers in the Isaiah 19 passages. The end of this chapter has a Savior and Champion (Isaiah 19:20) being sent to deliver the Egyptian people. That Savior will be physically on Earth. He is a Jewish King who will redeem Egypt.

The Man Who Died for Me… Christine McDonald

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Christine "Clarity" McDonald with tags , , , , on September 20, 2019 by paulthepoke

Though we are incomplete, God loves us completely. Though we are imperfect, He loves us perfectly. Though we may feel lost and without compass, God’s love encompasses us completely….He loves every one of us, even those who are flawed, rejected, awkward, sorrowful, or broken. —Dieter F. Uchtdorf

C.S. Lewis once wrote, “Love is something more stern and splendid than mere kindness.” Oftentimes as Christians we try expressing the love of Christ through kindness alone, but as Lewis stresses, kindness is but one attribute of love; it is not actually love itself. When we consider how we love others, what is our motive? Are we satisfied if we are just the seed planter? Are we satisfied if we are simply serving?

In the book of Luke we read, “But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.” (Luke 6:35)

Love your enemies…

If this is how we are to treat our enemies, how should we treat those for whom we have compassion and want to see brought into His Kingdom?

Loving others is an act of obedience, but we cannot trick God. He alone sees our hearts. He knows if we are giving food to the hungry out of love, or if we are merely baiting the hungry so we can guilt them to repentance with our message—our message. God’s message is not one of trickery or condemnation, nor does it demand that broken people turn from their vices before crying out to Him. God alone can fill our empty spaces, cleanse us of our sins, and buff our rough places. He alone can draw us in.

The Lover of Our Souls draws us through compassion. He alone meets us where we are, wipes away our tears, and saves us. When we give to those who are in need, it should be the overflow of what we have been given, and it should be truly free. When we put a price or a demand on these actions, we are cheating the very ones who move His heart.

“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’” (Matthew 25:40, NLT)

The question is: How, then, are we treating Christ?

“Love your neighbor, all of ’em.” -Christine Clarity McDonald

Cling to Jesus Christ Who Is In the Father… Rodna Epley

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Gospel, Rodna Epley with tags , , , , , , , , on September 18, 2019 by paulthepoke

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ “- John 20:17

After Jesus was resurrected from the dead, He commanded Mary to not cling to Him, to not fasten or adhere herself to Him. Not because there wouldn’t be a time when she couldn’t do that, but because the time for clinging to Him was not yet. The reason He gave her was that He had “not yet ascended to My Father”.

I’ve heard many a sermon in my life surrounding the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus and every one of those sermons that I can recall clings to Jesus either at the cross or right after He was raised from the dead outside the tomb. But they don’t cling to Jesus where He commanded us to cling: in Christ who is in the Father after having ascended to Him. Clinging to Him there includes all other access points, including the cross and the empty tomb along the way to the ultimate destination.

Do NOT adhere to me—for I have not yet ascended to my Father!

The implication being that we CAN adhere to Him AFTER He ascends to the Father.

To ascend doesn’t appear to have meant a physical ascension at that point, because we see the disciples handling Him and perhaps clinging to Him before the mount of ascension event occurred. So during the time between His first appearance to Mary at the tomb and when He allowed His disciples to handle Him, Jesus ascended to the Father in some way spiritually, but likely not physically—not yet. He spent 40 days on earth first preaching the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus used this ascended kind of language even before the cross…

Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. – John 17:13

No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.- John 3:13

Another way to say this is: There is only one person who has already ascended into heaven, Me, the Son is Man, and I’m in heaven right now.

When Jesus revealed the Father plainly to His disciples, He left out of His explanation all the stuff He did to redeem us. As important as all of that is, Jesus focused on the reason He did everything and where He took us—our ultimate destination. Here are His words,

“I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”- John 16:28

This is the purpose of the Gospel: to show us the Way to the Father. The Father is the destination, and we follow Jesus all the way there, where the power exists to do the greater works, where the glory exists that makes us ONE with the Father in Christ in the same way that Jesus is ONE with the Father (John 17:22,23).

“…he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”- John 14:12

Greater works… because I go to My Father.

That’s how we do them. The power for greater works comes from being restored to glory, to the Father, right now. Our minds are still being transformed from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18), but we are still fully restored now because we are properly positioned in Christ.

We don’t continue only clinging to the cross or clinging to Jesus standing outside the empty tomb. We cling to, fasten ourselves to, adhere to Jesus Christ where He is now: in the Father. The Father is the clinging place—where His glory makes us ONE.

That’s not to say that we don’t carry about the dying of the Lord Jesus which puts to death the old nature so that the new nature in Christ wakes up within us. It’s not to say we don’t rise with Jesus from the dead by the same glory of the Father that raised Him. And it’s not to say that our minds are not being transformed from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18) as we overcome one suffering after another (Romans 8:18).

But for this post I’m just bringing into focus the actual purpose of the Gospel which has not really been understood. That Jesus restored us to the Father in Himself. He restored us to glory where we learn to cling to Him and never let go again: where we have the ABILITY to cling to Him and never let go again. Because from the place of the Father is where Christ holds us. He clings to us, we cling to Him. He abides in us, we abide in Him. That’s the point of everything Jesus did and it’s vital that we know this and are intensely aware of it. Perfect peace is the strongest and most obvious indicator that we are in Christ.

Have a blessed day everyone! ❤️🙏🏼

Breaking: Saudi Oil Refineries Under Attack, September 2019

Buqayq, Saudia Arabia, September 14, 2019: The Saudis have reduced their oil supply output by half. 5.7 million barrels of oil per day have been stopped. 2 billion cubic feet of natural gas distribution has been affected as well. 10% of the world’s oil supply is estimated to go through this network in northeast Saudi Arabia.

This is a developing story and is highly likely to affect everyone’s pocketbook at the pump.

“For the oil market, if not the global economy, Abqaiq is the single most valuable piece of real estate on planet earth,” Bob McNally, Rapid Energy Group in Washington.

10 drone strikes on oil processing plants have caused large scale explosions and fires.

Isaiah 21:16-17 For thus the Lord said to me, “Within a year, according to the years of a hired worker, all the glory of Kedar will come to an end. And the remainder of the archers of the mighty men of the sons of Kedar will be few, for the LORD, the God of Israel, has spoken.”

The following peoples and their descendants make up Arabia per the prophets: Dedan, Tema, and Kedar.

Scripture is very clear. At some point in the future, the Saudis are going to get pummeled. Isaiah bears witness and confirms their fate.

Netanyahu and Putin Meet in Sochi, Russia, September 2019

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Ezekiel 38-39, Prophecy, Trend Update with tags , , , , , , on September 12, 2019 by paulthepoke

September 12, 2019, Sochi, Russia: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Below are comments made by Israel’s Netanyahu prior to leaving for Russia.

The Sochi meeting took place as Russia has condemned Netanyahu’s annexation plans if elections go his way next week. Russia has expressed concern this would lead to increased tension in the region.

Prime Minister Netanyahu made the following comments in a joint press conference with Vladimir Putin.

“Our tightening relations are the result of our mutual policy as well as the personal bond we share. This bond has prevented unnecessary and dangerous friction between our armies. This is a fundamental component of the regional stability. Security coordination is always important, but it is especially important now, in light of the past month’s sharp spike in the number and the scope of Iran’s attempts to harm Israel from Syrian territory and transfer precision missiles to Syria. We won’t tolerate this threat and therefore must avoid any friction between us.” -Benjamin Netanyahu

President Putin had the following comments during the press conference.

“We know that a million and a half Soviet Union repatriates are currently residing in Israel. We always treated them as our people. It is extremely important to us who is elected to the next Knesset and we hope they will maintain the friendship between our nations and further strengthen our relationship.” -Vladimir Putin

Ezekiel 38:2 “Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him…”

For over 2,500 years, the Bible and historians of their day equated the people of Magog with the Scythians. They lived in modern day Russia. The Bible and historians are consistent. Magog is modern day Russia.

Magog will invade Israel in the future. Magog will get theirs handed to them by the Lord Himself (Ezekiel 38-39). The pieces are falling into place. How close are we to the events documented by Ezekiel?
