This article is about a year old. The mass sexual entrapment operation known as “Mega” was also the name of a holding company owned by Jeffrey Epstein in the Virgin Islands. This story is certainly quite a bit worse than what this article reports.
The argument that this started as a “one-off” to entrap Bill Clinton is fudging the truth. For example, H.W. Bush was known to be inexplicitly hostile to the Israeli government in favor of richer Arab states. Some believed that he trysted outside of wedlock also. That alone prompts questions contradicting the premise of the enclosed.
Was Clinton simply more vulnerable? Or is he just a retrospective excuse?
The Russians were always big believers in sexual blackmail for the purposes of gathering intelligence and conducting influence operations. This article picks up around the time that the KGB was indigent following the collapse of the USSR. State secrets may have been for sale. Concurrently, Robert Maxwell (father of Ghislaine) was an occasional “go-between” to the Soviet Union during the later days of the cold war.
Did the Israelis simply seize an opportunity at a bargain rate?
Jim Comey’s (former director of the FBI during the Obama Administration) daughter, Maurene Comey, is leading the Maxwell prosecution. If the apple fell far from the tree, perhaps we will gain a better insight into the origins of Mega. However, the Southern District of New York team has a troublesome reputation for partisan gutter sniping, artfully disguised as diligent stewardship of the law. Should she conduct herself in line with that repute, the real basis for fear of many of the DC/New York élite will remain concealed.
Based on the limited scope of the charges, Czekmate assesses the later case being likelier. This prosecution is a deep state legal tourniquet.
Technofog has a great set of writeups on the Maxwell case being argued now. But what is not being discussed is the possibility that Mega went rogue AND/OR married up with another capability that has since been ‘off-shored’ known as HAMR (James Clapper’s, Former Director of National Intelligence, signature is literally on the memo for where this thing came from). This will have to be drawn by inference based on what details get picked up in court.
Czekmates warning remains the same: Rent-a-spies mixed with high technology is a perilous thing. The worlds of private/business intelligence and that of government intelligence have common frontiers that have become indistinguishably blurry. For the moment, both have a common objective: to keep the backstory of Mega under wraps. Sadly this includes keeping the hundreds to potentially many thousands of exploited boys and girls quiet.
