Trend Update: Israeli Delegation to Trump Inauguration, Embassy Plans, January 2017

Yehuda Glick headed an Israeli delegation to Washington, D.C. for the inauguration of President Donald Trump. This is the same Yehuda Glick who is a member of the Israeli Knesset. This is the same Yehuda Glick who took multiple gunshots from an intended assassin and survived. He is the same rabbi who was the head of the Temple Institute in Jerusalem. He believes Jews should be able to pray on the Temple Mount. Previously, Glick has stated a vision of three faiths (Islam, Christianity and Judaism) sharing the Temple Mount.

Glick is one of two Jewish lawmakers who attended the inauguration along with West Bank settler leaders.

“I hope to deliver to those people my message, which is that Jerusalem is the city of peace. It is an international city for all people, Jews and non-Jews, and it’s the city of global peace that knows how to bring people together. I come carrying the name of Jerusalem for this cause and I will reiterate it in all of my meetings,” said Glick.

January 24, 2017: Publically the Trump Administration states the US Embassy move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem is in the early stages.

“We’re at the very early stages of that decision-making process,” stated Sean Spicer, White House Press Secretary.

Actions are speaking louder than words. It appears the Trump Administration is moving forward with plans to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem.

According to Jerusalem City Councilman and Deputy Mayor Meir Turjemon, “The architect who designs American embassies around the world has already arrived in Israel to examine the conditions in the field.”

The United States Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, is planning on living and working in Jerusalem. Traditionally, the US Ambassador lives in Herzliya which is north of Tel Aviv on the Mediterranean coast. Friedman’s plans are to arrive in Jerusalem in late February and begin working. He does not care if the US Embassy is moved or not. He is going to work in the capital city of Israel.

Trend Update: Paris Middle East Peace Conference, January 2017

Zechariah 12:3 It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

January 15, 2017: Dateline Paris, France. Today the French hosted a Middle East Peace Conference with the expressed goal of a two state solution. Leaked information indicated the conference is looking to divide the land of Israel for a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. The city of Jerusalem would be divided. The division of Jerusalem includes the real estate of the Temple Mount. The region of the Golan Heights would be handed over to Syria as part of the deal. The result of the conference was tough talk for incoming President Trump. For now, the land and Jerusalem were not divided.

Seventy nations gathered in Paris for the event. Representatives from Israel and a future Palestine are not participating in the discussions and process. French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault stated the French have “no intention other than promoting peace”.

The backdrop of the event is the pending inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the United States on Friday, January 20, 2017. The conference is intended to send a strong message to President Trump. World leaders are very uncomfortable with the proposed move of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Many have stated a potential move would only complicate matters and increase the risk for further violence. A potential embassy move would interrupt and discourage an opportunity for peace in the Middle East per critics of Trump. This topic appears to be the focus of today’s meeting. The drum beat coming out of today’s conference is a potential US Embassy move to Jerusalem is a threat to peace.

Current Secretary of State John Kerry, “an explosion, an absolute explosion in the region, not just in the West Bank, and perhaps even in Israel itself, but throughout the region.”

The Palestinian Authority’s supreme Sharia judge Mahmoud Al-Habbash stated an embassy move to Jerusalem would be a “declaration of war.”

The Palestinians are asking the Russians and Vladimir Putin to help stop a potential US Embassy move.

The French are threatening President elect Trump with “serious consequences” with a move to Jerusalem. These actions would be deemed a “provocation”.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called the meeting “useless” and “futile” and “rigged”. “Tomorrow’s world will be different, and it is very near.”

Scripture says the land will ultimately be divided. Frankly this process has already begun when the Gaza Strip was given to the Palestinians in 2006. We were told peace will come in exchange for land…

Joel 3:2b Israel…and they have divided up My land.

A little food for speculative thought…was the antichrist in the shadows in Paris??? Are we that close??? Geopolitical events could get very Biblically real in a hurry. Get concerned when humanity is talking peace and security.

1 Thessalonians 5:3 While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.

Trend Update: Obama Delays US Embassy Move to Jerusalem, December 2016

Zechariah 12:2 “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah. 

The verses from Zechariah 12 have global implications. Essentially, the world is against Jerusalem, Israel as noted from resolutions passed by the United Nations (UN) in late November 2016.

Specifically, there is division in the United States regarding the issue of Jerusalem. On December 2, 2016, President Obama with the stroke of his pen delayed the moving of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Obama signed and renewed the six month waiver.

Before everyone piles on President Obama, every president since Bill Clinton in 1995 has done the same thing every six months. This includes George W. Bush. The waiver has been signed out of “national security” considerations.

“I hereby determine that it is necessary, in order to protect the national security interests of the United States, to suspend for a period of 6 months the limitations set forth in sections 3(b) and 7(b) of the Act,” President Obama.

This is where things get interesting. President Elect Trump has promised to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. The moving of the U.S. Embassy was a campaign promise.

The Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 is a public law of the United States. The law was passed by the 104th Congress on October 23, 1995. The law states the United States Embassy in Israel should be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The law states Jerusalem is to be an undivided city. Jerusalem is recognized as the capital of Israel. This law was to be enacted by May 31, 1999.

To complicate the matter further, a future Palestinian state wants Jerusalem as its capital. In the spirit of the issue, the Palestinians have promised to “make life miserable” for Trump and United States at the United Nations.

The verse from Zechariah comes with a warning. If a country messes with Jerusalem, God will burden the country. If a country wants to “lift” Jerusalem from Israel…the Hebrew language literally states a country will be cut to pieces.

And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it. In late November 2016 the world (with the exception of 12 countries) voted against Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The UN stated the nation of Israel had no lawful authority in their capital city of Jerusalem. The UN would not even say the name of the country and referred to Israel as the “occupying power”. They went on to proclaim Israel’s actions “were illegal and therefore null and void and had no validity whatsoever”.

United States law and the UN are on a collision course.

It has been written for all to see for approximately 2,500 years. The world is at a time of decision. Somebody is watching and warning. And He has a very sharp sword.
