This Week in Prophecy: Trump Comes in Peace

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

I take President Trump’s word when he says he wants to stop all the wars and bloodshed. Is Trump a son of God? If he truly wants the warring factions to stop and is working toward that end, yes, Donald Trump is a son of God.

Is Trump flawed, yes. Is Trump a believer in Christ? That is between him and His Creator.

President Trump has been calling for peace across the planet over the past week.

Israel and Hamas continue to fight… However, President Trump accomplished this prior to his upcoming trip to the Middle East this week.

Russia and Ukraine

President Putin of Russia doesn’t want to have a Cease Fire Agreement with Ukraine, but rather wants to meet on Thursday, in Turkey, to negotiate a possible end to the BLOODBATH. Ukraine should agree to this, IMMEDIATELY. At least they will be able to determine whether or not a deal is possible, and if it is not, European leaders, and the U.S., will know where everything stands, and can proceed accordingly! I’m starting to doubt that Ukraine will make a deal with Putin, who’s too busy celebrating the Victory of World War ll, which could not have been won (not even close!) without the United States of America. There is way too much money to be made by manufacturing, selling weapons and support of war. The greed of some is more powerful than peaceful existence.

Per Grok… Military Actions: Involves airstrikes, ground incursions, and control of strategic areas like the Netzarim Corridor and Morag Axis. Recent escalations (May 2025) include plans to capture the entire Gaza Strip.

Israel continues military action in Yemen against the Houthis.

May 5-7, 2025: Following a Houthi ballistic missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport on May 4, which injured eight and damaged infrastructure, Israel launched massive airstrikes on Houthi-controlled Sanaa airport and Hodeidah port. The strikes disabled the airport, destroyed civilian aircraft, and caused ~$500 million in damages, according to Houthi claims. Israel coordinated with the U.S., targeting military infrastructure to weaken Houthi capabilities.

Israel continues military action in Lebanon

Ongoing Operations (April-May 2025): Israel continued strikes on Hezbollah weapons sites, including a missile storage facility in Dahiyeh (April 27, 2025) and arms depots in Beqaa Valley and Srifa (May 5, 2025). These targeted Hezbollah’s efforts to rebuild military infrastructure, which Israel claimed violated ceasefire terms.

January 15, 2025:

This EPIC ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our Historic Victory in November, as it signaled to the entire World that my Administration would seek Peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans, and our Allies. I am thrilled American and Israeli hostages will be returning home to be reunited with their families and loved ones. 
 
With this deal in place, my National Security team, through the efforts of Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, will continue to work closely with Israel and our Allies to make sure Gaza NEVER again becomes a terrorist safe haven. Details of the ceasefire are beginning to emerge…

  • In the first phase, 1,904 terrorists will be released – 737 of whom are being held by the Prison Service, and another 1,167 Gazans who were arrested during the ground maneuver and are being held by the IDF – terrorists who did not participate in the October 7 massacre.
  • The ceasefire will go into effect on Sunday at 4:00 PM.
    Each day that hostages are released, a number of terrorists will be released according to the key. The releases are expected to take place on Sunday, and then every Saturday – on days 1, 7, 14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 of the agreement.
  • The principles for releasing the hostages: first the living women, then the remaining alive hostages. In the sixth week, those who are not alive will be released.
  • For the kidnapped women, children, and adults over the age of 50 who are alive – 30 terrorists for each kidnapped woman.
  • For the nine sick and injured hostages on the list – the release of 110 terrorists (proportionally, according to those who are alive).
  • For the female soldiers – 50 terrorists will be released for each one.
  • For Abra Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed – the release of 30 terrorists for each of them, and another 47 for both of them together.
  • In exchange for the release of all the abductees who are not alive from Phase one, the Gazan detainees captured during the ground maneuver in the Strip (approximately 1,000 as stated) will be released proportionally.
  • Terrorists who commit murder or were involved in an attack in which Israelis were murdered – will be deported to Gaza or abroad. However, there are certain conditions that allow them to return to the territories of Israel or the Judea and Samaria after 3 years (provided that they have not committed a terrorist offense during this period and are subject to Shin Bet approval).
  • 600 aid trucks will enter Gaza daily – All humanitarian aid trucks that enter the Strip within the framework of the agreement will be inspected.

UN Security Council Votes for Ceasefire in Gaza

Zechariah 12:1-4 The oracle of the word of the Lord concerning Israel: Thus declares the Lord, who stretched out the heavens and founded the earth and formed the spirit of man within him: “Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of staggering to all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem will also be against Judah. On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will gather against it. On that day, declares the Lord, I will strike every horse with panic, and its rider with madness. But for the sake of the house of Judah I will keep my eyes open, when I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

The prophets spoke of a time when Israel would be isolated against the world. At this time, under the current Biden Administration. Israel has no support.

The abstention was the United States. This is a change in US policy towards Israel.

Vice President Harris has weighed in on the issue. She and the Administration have been “clear”. The invasion of Rafah would be a “huge mistake”.

Zechariah 14:2-3 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped. Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle.

The world would like to divide Jerusalem in the event of a Palestinian state. East Jerusalem would be the capital.

We have already seen this in the communities that border the Gaza Strip. This is exactly what happened on October 7, 2023… the houses plundered and the women raped. The prophet Zechariah says this will happen again in the future in Jerusalem. Other prophets include Judah in the south as well.

The context of Ezekiel 7 is judgment on the land of Israel. Judgment is being rendered against violence or “hamas“.

Ezekiel 7:11 Violence has grown up into a rod of wickedness. None of them shall remain, nor their abundance, nor their wealth; neither shall there be preeminence among them.

Ezekiel 7:23 Forge a chain! For the land is full of bloody crimes and the city is full of violence.

Ezekiel 7:25 When anguish comes, they will seek peace, but there shall be none.

Are we witnessing the ultimate fulfillment of this prophecy? Time will tell.

Trend Update: Ceasefire Holding Near Golan Heights, July 2017

Isaiah 2:13 And it will be against all the cedars of Lebanon that are lofty and lifted up, against all the oaks of Bashan…

Bashan is the modern day Golan Heights. This would be the area in the far north east corner of modern day Israel. This place is south of modern day Damascus, Syria. Geographical land marks would include a region east of the Jordan River and north of the Arnon River. This territory extended from Gilead in the south to Mount Hermon on the north.

 

The following groups are currently located in the Golan region: Syrian Government forces supported by Russia, ISIS, rebel forces supported by the United States, and Israeli forces.

Russia’s Vladimir Putin and the United States’ Donald Trump agreed to a cease fire in southwest Syria on July 7, 2017. Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov attended the meeting as well as US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Tillerson said there was a “defined agreement” between the parties. The meeting between Trump and Putin lasted two hours and 16 minutes.

“This is our first indication of the US and Russia being able to work together in Syria,” Tillerson said.

The ceasefire started in the de-escalation zone at noon Damascus time, July 9, 2017.

July 10, 2017: UN peace talks regarding Syria started in Geneva. The ceasefire has generally held despite “teething problems”.

The ceasefire is for three provinces in southern Syria. Four “de-escalation zones” or “baskets” have been established. But these baskets have not been implemented or enforced.

The sticking point in the negotiations is Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

“The specter that is hanging over all of that is the fate of Bashar al-Assad. I think it is fair to say that this is one area where the two sides are still diametrically opposed – whether Assad should be allowed to stay or whether he should go,” Al Jazeera’s Sue Turton.
