Rafael Morris of the Returning to the Mount movement was held by local authorities under suspicion for potentially sacrificing a Paschal Lamb on the Temple Mount. This year, the Returning to the Mount movement raised the anti to 20,000 shekels (roughly $5,600) for anyone attempting or finishing the sacrifice on the Temple Mount.

Russia has cut off the flow of natural gas to Europe. Nord Stream 1 has been shut down indefinitely.
“Europe’s storages are well on track to hitting or even surpassing their targets for this summer, and there’s plenty of scope to replace that gas with liquified natural gas imports for now, but when weather turns cold and demand starts to pick up in the winter in Europe and Asia, there’s only so much LNG out there that Europe can import to replace Russian gas.”
Companies are shutting down across Europe due to high gas and electricity costs. This week, the world’s second largest steel maker is closing indefinitely.

Turkey is threatening Greece in the Aegean Sea. President Recep Erdogan invokes modern day Izmir or ancient Smyrna in his comments. Remember the churches in Revelation???

On This Week in Prophecy… Iraq is breaking down. Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr has announced he is stepping down from politics. The result is a violent power grab. The Green Zone is Baghdad is a war zone. The violence is spreading throughout the country. A nationwide curfew has been imposed. The United States appears to be air lifting personnel from their embassy facility within the Green Zone.
Iran and Russia continue to strengthen their economic ties. Both countries have agreed to complete financial transactions with rials and rubles. India, China, and Saudi Arabia have signaled they are willing to complete economic transactions apart from the US Dollar. Other currencies include the yuan and the rupee.
China’s Yangtze River is running dry. Drought and a heat wave is gripping China this summer. Crops do not have water to grow. Pressures continue to mount on food security around the globe. Hydroelectric plants are no longer producing energy.

Floods are devastating Pakistan. Over 1,000 are dead. 33,000,000 people have been affected. Basic provisions of food, water, and shelter have been significantly disrupted.
A regional energy emergency has been declared. Gas prices in the upper Midwest of the United States are going up. A major fire at a refinery has severely affected gas distribution in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The refinery accounts for 20-25% of gas to the four states.

Food security continues to play an increasing role in our world. India will no longer export wheat. India is the world’s second largest producer. Three (Russia, Ukraine, India) of the top 10 wheat producers in the world will no longer export wheat. This accounts for 40-50% of the planet’s grain trade. This is a very big deal!!!
Iranian citizens have taken to the streets to protest the exploding price of basic staples. Grains and cooking oils have gone up 300% over the last week. In response, the government cut off the internet briefly.
Diesel supply shortages are starting to be a concern on the east coast of the United States. All of these things point to higher food and fuel costs.
Ukraine’s President Zelensky has been invited to the Davos Economic Forum scheduled for later this week. Zelensky appears to have the support of the world’s economic elite. More weapons please…
Democrat House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer made the following admission this past week on the floor of the House of Representatives. “It is unfortunate that in a time of war, we spend all the time blaming our own president.” So we are fighting a proxy war with the Russians.
Finland announces its intent to join NATO. Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan is not so sure about this move and a states Finland and Sweden are hot beds of terrorism. Russia promptly cuts off electricity to Finland.
It would appear Europe is starting to understand Putin a little more clearly. European companies, not sovereign countries, are opening accounts with Gazprom Bank to pay for natural gas in rubles. Mind you, this does not violate any European sanctions against Russia. No conflict of interest, move along.

The People’s Republic of China is on the move in the Pacific. A Chinese aircraft carrier was spotted off the coast of Taiwan and Japan. A reconnaissance vessel was also spotted off the west coast of Australia. Plus, the Chinese are making end roads in the Solomon Islands. Australia responds with strong language to the Chinese.

President Isaac Herzog of Israel visits President Recep Erdogan of Turkey. Both countries look to thaw icy relations of the recent past.
The Iranian Nuclear deal has hit a snag. Top Iranian negotiator has been flying back and forth between Tehran and Vienna. Where does the situation stand as of today? Russia wants reassurances they can continue to do energy business with Iran. Reserves of natural gas and oil are at play in the Caspian Sea.
The Saudis are re-assessing their relationship with the United States. Can the Americans be trusted? Issues regarding the Sunni and Shia divide are coming into play. Sunni Muslims (Saudis, Pakistanis, and others) are growing increasingly concerned with Shia Muslims (Iranians). The issue is the Iranian Nuclear negotiations.
Libya’s new government has spoken out against Russia after receiving the Russian seal of approval. Libya is the largest producer of oil and natural gas in Africa. So of course, Russia is interested in Libyan affairs. Libya’s ultimate consideration is food imports and inflated prices from Ukraine and Russia.

Granted, the context of the kings from the east is the bowl judgments. This is the latter third of the Tribulation in the book of Revelation. The events taking place on the Chinese/Indian border are not the fulfillment of prophecy. Seals have yet to be broken.
June 16, 2020: China and India are literally fighting deadly combat hand to hand. The incident is taking place in the Himalayas in the Galwan Valley. Reports indicate guns have not been fired and soldiers are engaging with rocks and batons. India claims to have lost 20 soldiers. China states they have 43 injured and/or dead.
These are the two largest militaries in the world. According to Google, India has a population of 1.353 billion people. China has a population of 1.393 billion people. These two countries account for almost 40% of the Earth’s population.

The Biblical mention of a people in the Far East named “Sinim” (Isaiah 49:12), together with references in ancient secular histories to people in the Far East called “Sinae,” at least suggests the possibility that some of Sin’s descendants migrated eastward, while others went south into the land of Canaan. It is significant that the Chinese people have always been identified by the prefix “Sino-” (e.g., Sino-Japanese War; Sinology, the study of Chinese history). The name “Sin” is frequently encountered in Chinese names in the form “Siang” or its equivalent.
The evidence is tenuous but, of all the names in the Table of Nations, it does seem that two sons of Canaan, Heth (Hittites = Khittae = Cathay) and Sin (Sinites = Sinim = China), are the most likely to have become ancestors of the Oriental peoples. Since it seems reasonable that divine inspiration would include in such a table information concerning the ancestry of all the major streams of human development, it is reasonable to conclude that the Mongoloid peoples (and therefore also the American Indians) have come mostly from the Hamitic line.

Yes, the context of Joel 1 is the land of Israel. The prophet does offer a glimpse into the future of the Promised Land. There are an estimated 80-90 species of locusts in the Middle East per Wycliffe Bible Commentary. Locust plagues are a sign of the end of days per Joel.
Middle East, February 2020: Plagues of locusts are gaining steam and growing across the region in the countries of Pakistan, Oman, Yemen, Ethiopia, Kenya, Eritrea and Djibouti.
These are reported to be the most devastating swarms in over 70 years. The region is already on alert for food needs & now locusts have invaded.

Officials in Kenya have resorted to using pesticides from airplanes, machine guns, tear gas, shouting and banging on drums. Officials state they are having a hard time addressing the locusts because the area is complicated by regional wars and conflicts.
2019 was a wet year for eastern Africa due to tropical cyclones. Officials are very concerned because the timing of the swarm is prior to entering the wet seasons in the region. With increased water and warm temperatures, experts warn the swarms could expand 500 fold… Allegedly.

The swarms of locusts are not in Israel as the prophet Joel promises. The experts can not excuse this away, locust plagues are a sign of our current times.
The question is… are we entering into the time Joel prophesied???
