My wish for my family & friends this new year is for happiness. For having a mindset of positivity & thinking good thoughts. That we can all separate ourselves from anything negative & not give negativity space in our head. May your year be filled with joy!

What a beautiful world we’d be living in if we wanted the best for each other. Instead of only being all about ourselves, we took the time to help others & to build others up. Let’s make each other feel important & worthy.

Romans 15:2 We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.

Ecclesiastes 3:12 I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live…

Philippians 4:8 If anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.

It’s okay to want more out of life, but don’t want out of envy. There’s happiness in being content. Faith in God & doing what he puts in your heart will bring you what you need & more. Those that live life striving for more out of envy will find nothing but gloom in the end. Find happiness where you are to get more from life.

Proverbs 14:30 A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot.

Philippians 4:11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.

Those that stay humble have peace & happiness. They are often not disappointed because they are grounded. Those living in humbleness will be blessed. Stay humble.

1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.

Now is the perfect time to forgive & mend a broken relationship. When you are truly able to forgive, it will bring so much peace into your life. Sometimes it may not be healthy to have certain people in our lives, but we still need to forgive them, for the peace it brings us. Forgive others as God has forgiven us. Seek peace!

Mark 11:25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your father also who is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

What good does complaining do? Does it truly make you feel better, or does it put you in a worse mood? If you’re busy complaining, you’re missing an opportunity to lift someone up. You’re missing an opportunity to lift yourself up. Find the good in every situation. Your happiness & the happiness of those around you are worth it.

Philippians 2:14 Do all things without grumbling or questioning…

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those that hear.

1 Peter 4:9 Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.

I truly believe this. How anyone could choose to be miserable & to make others miserable is something I’ll never understand. Be happy because you choose to be. It’s addicting & attracts more happiness.

Isaiah 12:3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

You are ultimately the determining factor in your own happiness. Do not give that power to others. Others can add to your happiness, but you have to be in charge of it. Change your mindset to keep out the negative thoughts & focus on the good.

Proverbs 15:13 A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed.

Proverbs 17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

The happiest people are those that give of themselves to better or help others. Not for the purpose of bragging, but to feel good in their hearts. Making others smile & feel secure is a sure way to happiness.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put in your lap. For the measure you use it will be measured back to you.
