Dear Christian: Forgiveness

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Gospel, Michael Stone with tags , , on June 27, 2019 by paulthepoke

Dear Christian,
Has it ever occurred to you that your difficulty forgiving others is because you don’t really believe that you have been forgiven?

Forgiveness Is For You

God cannot lie. If you have truly accepted Jesus the Christ as your personal Savior and Lord, eternal life, total healing, total deliverance, and total forgiveness are already yours in Jesus’ name. Receive those gifts! Go ahead!

Forgive others just as Jesus has forgiven you.
“If you forgive others for their transgressions, your Father in heaven will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.”
Matthew 6:14-15

Your debt is already paid in full. Jesus paid that debt. The wages of sin is death, and He paid that price in your place.

BE FREE, IN JESUS’ NAME!

Don’t Worry, Be Happy… Featuring Paul Beverly

Worry & stress suck the happiness from our lives. I’ve figured out that things usually always work out just as they should, in God’s timing. Jesus said in Matthew 6, “Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

In other words, He’s got us covered. Stop trying to control & force things. After all, it’s God who is in control. Be patient & wait on His blessings. Realizing this will bring amazing peace…

Have a blessed week my friends!!!

Those that stay humble have peace & happiness. They are often not disappointed because they are grounded. Those living in humbleness will be blessed. Stay humble.

1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.

forgiveness

Now is the perfect time to forgive & mend a broken relationship. When you are truly able to forgive, it will bring so much peace into your life. Sometimes it may not be healthy to have certain people in our lives, but we still need to forgive them, for the peace it brings us. Forgive others as God has forgiven us. Seek peace!

Mark 11:25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your father also who is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Be humble, have a forgiving week my friends!!!

Love in Secret…Featuring Matt Weinreich

givingMatthew 6:1-4 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them.  Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.  Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men.  Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.  But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret: and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.”

A true gift cannot be given without receiving. A true gift cannot be received without giving.  When I give generously, my spirit is raised knowing I have shown love to another.  When I receive, my spirit is raised knowing another loved me enough to give generously to me.

A taker cannot truly give, nor receive.  A taker takes out of fear of being taken from.  The spirit of taking wants to convert givers into takers.

This is why I believe Jesus told us to give in secret.  To give is to loveLove the other as other.   Love and release.  Love spontaneously in secret.  Leaving the other with the expectation of praise, or repayment turns that love to vanity.   Don’t allow your love to be hijacked.

Straight Talk…Lord’s Prayer in Ancient Hebrew, Rodna Epley

Posted in Gospel, Rodna Epley with tags , , , , , , on July 5, 2017 by paulthepoke

RodnaMatthew 6:9b “Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

I love the Lord’s Prayer in Ancient Hebrew! This is much more meaningful to me than the simple English versions we have today. I wish I had an entire Bible like this. I do need to investigate it still though to see how it was translated etc. But it’s still really cool to read it this way!

Instead of “Forgive us our sins” it says, “and strike at our fastened yoke of our sin”. I mean wow, that adds a lot more meaning doesn’t it?! The ancient Hebrew implies more of an action that God takes to literally BREAK the enslaving yoke (bondage) of sin off our lives when we ask for forgiveness. Can’t you picture Him doing this?! Does this excite anyone else besides me? haha…I know I’m weird but surely I’m not the only weirdo here! 😉

Have you ever noticed when people first come to put their faith in Christ and are “born-again” they typically say, “I feel a weight lifted off of me!” They can literally FEEL the forgiveness of God. I felt this way too 21 years ago. Could it be that this “striking of the fastened yoke” that God performs, which breaks us free from the heavy weight of sin, is much more literal than we may have thought? I know one thing is sure: Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross did WAY more than we will probably ever realize on earth…

With faith & prayer, everything always works out. Not always the way you think it will, but the way it’s supposed to be. Worrying & being anxious won’t change anything & only holds you back. The stress you cause yourself from being anxious is not healthy. Put your trust in God.

Proverbs 12:25. Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.

Matthew 6:27. And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to your life span?

Have a worry free week my friends!!!
