For the second time in June 2016, the sun has been observed to be without spots. The current sun cycle has been observed to be the weakest in over a century. Scientists think this is a warning of a potential solar cycle minimum. Scientists expect an increasing number of days without sun spots in the next few years. The pattern starts with no sun spots for a few days. Then it will last for a few weeks. Finally, the pattern concludes with no sun spots for a few months at a time.
The result on Earth is the upper atmosphere cools and contracts. Translation, colder than normal temperatures with increased precipitation.
Please note Jesus states there will be “signs” (plural). Is this a “sign”? That’s up to you to decide.
Do know this. Per Scripture, the tribulation is a period of cold and snow and ice. The tribulation will be more consistent with an ice age than the hot and dry “Mad Max” world. Solar cycles are suggesting we are trending in the direction of the Bible’s end time scenario.

May 17-19, 2016, NASA spots a massive coronal hole in the sun. The hole measures more than 10% of the sun’s surface area. In October 2015, a smaller hole was observed. This hole was the size of 50 earths. As of October 2015, this was believed to be the largest coronal hole on record. Both holes formed in the same area of the sun.
A coronal hole is an area where the sun’s atmosphere is less dense. These holes contain less solar material. A lower temperature is noted than the rest of the corona. These areas tend to send out the fastest solar winds. A coronal hole cannot be seen in visible light with the naked eye. But it can be seen via ultraviolet light. So don’t look directly into the sun!
Scientists do not know how coronal holes form. Fear not say the NASA scientists. This is not a big deal…
So if there is less solar material and lower solar temperatures…I take it our planet Earth will probably cool off.

Look at the progression of the sun during the Tribulation per the book of Revelation. Granted, the initial verse could be describing a solar eclipse. BUT, what is going to happen when a 1/3 of the sun is blocked? What is going to happen when the sun shines for 8 hours instead of 12 with a third of the intensity? What is going to happen when the above conditions are compounded by smoke that thickens the air and covers the already limited sun? And for good measure, add more smoke.
The effect on the sun is located in other places besides Revelation. Look at the references to a darkened sun during the Day of the Lord (Joel 2:2, Joel 2:10, Joel 3:15, Zephaniah 1:15, Isaiah 13:6, 9, 10, Isaiah 24:23, Amos 5:20, and Matthew 24:29).
The current political culture of 2016 would suggest the planet is warming. We have Global Warming! Man says the planet is getting hotter. The Bible says the weather during the Tribulation is going to be cold and nasty.

The context of the verses above is God talking to Job. God is explaining to Job He is in charge of the weather. In Chapter 38 of Job, God is explaining He created the heavens and earth. God gives a brief lesson in astrophysics. He created the animals. He rules the geography of planet Earth.
The timeline is the midpoint of the Tribulation (Matthew 24). The antichrist has claimed to be the Messiah in the Temple. Jesus gives a hint of the possible weather and prayer request in Matthew 24:20. “But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath.” See also Mark 13:14-18.
Look at the progressive phenomena in Revelation that takes place in regards to the intensity of the sun.

More smoke is released in Revelation 9:18 A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues, by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which proceeded out of their mouths.
The net result of more smoke being released is the sun’s rays will be blocked further. What happens if the sun is blocked? It is going to get colder. This is what happened when Mount St. Helens erupted in 1980. Mount Pinatubo (1991) in the Philippines produced ten times as much ash as Mount St. Helens. The result of all of the ash, steam, and chemicals being released into the air was global cooling.
Sulfur compounds in the atmosphere block out the light of the sun, cooling the Earth slightly. If sulfur compounds reach the stratosphere and are carried around the globe by winds, an eruption can mean violent and abrupt changes in the weather worldwide. Amos 5:20 Will not the day of the LORD be darkness instead of light, even gloom with no brightness in it?
Isaiah 13:10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not flash forth their light; the sun will be dark when it rises and the moon will not shed its light.
Today, we have been conditioned by the media, politicians, and scientists to believe we are causing and changing the weather. The Bible has something different to say. Psalm 147:16-17 He gives snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes. He casts forth His ice as fragments; who can stand before His cold? According to the Bible, the trend during the course of the Tribulation is colder weather.
If you believe we are trending toward the Tribulation, you have a choice to consider. The issue is the weather. Man, led by Al Gore, says we are in a period of global warning and it is going to get worse. God says things are going to cool off during the Tribulation.
