Ancient Magog or modern day Russia…

One could argue that the lands of ancient Magog includes both Ukraine and Russia. This past week, Ukraine launched operation “Spiderweb”.

Russia has responded with multiple strikes throughout Ukraine. Multiple Ukrainian air bases have been destroyed. It appears Russia is not finished.

Anti-Semitism in Boulder, Colorado: Mohamed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian National, is in the United States with his family illegally. U.S. authorities have charged Soliman with a hate crime. And the courts have currently blocked an attempt to deport Soliman’s family.

This Week in Prophecy: LA Fires & God’s Judgment

Isaiah 66:15-16 For behold, the LORD will come with fire, His chariots are like a whirlwind to execute His anger with fury and His rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by His sword, the LORD will execute judgment on all flesh, and many will be slain by the LORD.

The people of Los Angeles are in need of our support (it takes many forms) and prayers.

Many are asking the question. Are the fires in Los Angeles God’s judgment? My response would be, “I don’t know.” God has not told me. I would lean towards no, but I don’t know.

Lot and his daughters were spared fire and brimstone judgment at Sodom and Gomorrah.

For now, we remain under grace in the church age until Jesus Christ comes to gather His people at the resurrection and rapture of believers. After that event, the circumstances change.

Locally in Pacific Palisades, a lake for water storage was empty. Fire hydrants and lines were without water. But across California, lakes are reported to be above capacity.

In 2014, California voters passed a $7.5 Billion water bond, $2.7 Billion of which was to go to the construction of new water storage projects, such as dams & reservoirs. 10 years later, none have been built.

But we do know about the character of God. He tells us who He is. The critic gets very upset with the verse below. They are highly critical of a “jealous and consuming God”. The critic does not want to be held accountable or responsible for their actions.

Deuteronomy 4:24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

As a friendly reminder, our works as believers in Christ will be judged by fire. Personally, this verse makes me very nervous. What really motivates what we do?

1 Corinthians 3:13 …each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done…

Humanity was not created for Hell. The eternal fire was created for Satan and his fallen minions.

Matthew 25:41 Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Remember, fire is what’s coming. The scale will be global and not confined to Los Angeles. Yes, God will judge this planet by fire because of sin.

2 Peter 3:7 But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

Pacific, Southwest United States, August 18, 2023: Hurricane Hilary is approaching the Baja Peninsula in Mexico and the American metropolitans of San Diego, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.

There are many firsts with this storm and Hilary has yet to make landfall. First Tropical Storm Watch for Los Angeles County. As of the writing of this post, the watch has been upgraded to a warning.

A little context here… The verse above is during the second half of the 7 year tribulation. The antichrist is on the scene and in charge. Currently, we have no third temple. The antichrist has not killed the two witnesses who have yet to show up on the scene let alone begin their ministry. It is the position of this website and ministry the tribulation has yet to even begin. We are trending hard towards these events.

Revelation 11:7-10 When the two witnesses have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will wage war with them, and will overpower and kill them. Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, figuratively called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was also crucified. For three and a half days all peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will view their bodies and will not permit them to be laid in a tomb. And those who dwell on the earth will gloat over them, and will celebrate and send one another gifts, because these two prophets had tormented them.

Context… This is the halfway point of the 7 year Tribulation. The two witnesses have completed their 3.5 year ministry.

A Palestinian tradition is to pass out sweets after an operation when a martyr goes to paradise. In the west, we would call this a terror attack. At any rate, this is cause for celebration for Palestinians.
