Mark 13:7 And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet.
Jesus is letting us know from about 2,000 years ago in the past. Wars and rumors of wars will happen before He returns. The point is not to create “Fear Porn”. Christ is telling us, “do not be alarmed.“
The Greek word for alarmed is θροέω / throeó. The word can also be translated as: disturbed, troubled, agitated.
Are wars awful, yes. Bloodshed and death are currently happening and escalating.
We are trending towards the end. There is no need for drama or confusion. We are told wars and rumors of war are coming so we can know “the end is not yet.“

A couple of nights ago, the world was lead to believe that Israel had bombed a hospital in the Gaza Strip killing over 500 and destroying the hospital. The incident occurred in the dark of the night.

Yesterday, at 6:59PM Islamic Jihad fired a barrage of around 10 rockets towards Israel. One of the rockets misfired (fairly common event) and hit the parking lot of a hospital, killing many innocent people.

NBC suggests that satellite imagery of the blast shows it wasn’t as destructive as originally thought.

Hezbollah launched an attack from Lebanon to the Karish gas field in the Mediterranean Sea. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stepped in and destroyed three drones intended for the drilling rig. The international boundary remains a point of contention for Lebanon and segments of the international community.
Russia is watching and will ultimately intervene according the Prophet Ezekiel 38-39. President Vladimir Putin has stated he wants to control the flow of oil and gas from east to west into Europe. Only Israel stands in the way from a Russian monopoly on energy in the region. Russia smells weakness with a leadership vacuum in Israel, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States
President Biden is making a trip to the Middle East this week. He looks to stop in Israel, Palestine (as he sees it), and Saudi Arabia. Biden will visit with Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed bin Salman. The Saudis feel betrayed by the Biden Administration. The Saudis have openly discussed the notion of oil payments in the Chinese Yuan. The ripple effects could be staggering. These are economic high stakes.
What will Biden’s policy be toward the land of Israel and its capital Jerusalem? Will he look to divide the land and capital? Pray for the peace of Jerusalem…
In a little over a week, Turkish President Recep Erdogan faced the lowest of lows and the highest of highs. First, Erdogan had an abysmal meeting with the Saudi’s Mohammed bin Salman, then Turkey agreed to accept Finland and Sweden into NATO. Erdogan reached an agreement. His vote of acceptance was bought at the price of American F16’s and labeling the Kurds terrorists.
Russia continues with its invasion of Ukraine. Wheat fields are being set on fire. Mines are being placed in fields resulting in the destruction of farm equipment. Mines are being set in destroyed sea ports. Grain exportation to other parts of the region and world are severely hampered.

What started out as a farmer protest in the Netherlands is spreading. The Dutch are major food exporters across Europe from the north. Farmers across Europe are beginning to show their muscle. The rallying cry is a simple one. “No farmers, no food.”
Farmers are protesting “green energy” policies which are restricting. Government authorities state “targets introduced last month (are) to reduce harmful nitrogen compounds by 2030, (which) are necessary in emissions of nitrogen oxides from farm animal manure and from the use of ammonia in fertilizer.”
Government Authorities have responded by opening fire on farmers with guns. Tear gas has been released. Dogs have been unleashed. Fines have been levied.
Farmer protests have spread to Poland, Germany, and Italy.
Revelation 6:5-6 When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a black horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine!”
A hallmark of the beginning of the tribulation is hyperinflation as noted in Revelation 6 which leads to global famine. Revelation 6 talks of a time when it will cost a day’s wage just to eat. Inflation is in the headlines. Food security continues to be a growing issue. We are trending and living in times as described by John the Revelator. We should pay attention.
What are the ripple effects of Russia invading Ukraine?

Finland and Sweden are discussing NATO membership. Russia’s response is a threat of military and political consequences.
Syria’s President Assad is supportive of Russian intervention in Ukraine. Assad sees this as a “correction of history.”
As a reminder, Ezekiel 38-39, Jeremiah 49, and the Burden of Damascus from Isaiah 17 are looming and appear to be coming into focus with each passing day.
A significant consequence of Russia’s actions will be the inflation of grain prices throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Egypt will bear the brunt with 80% of grain imports coming from Russia and Ukraine.
Revelation 6 instructs there will be hyperinflation at the onset of the tribulation. Wheat is specifically mentioned in verse 6.
Lastly, Kyiv has spiritual significance in Putin’s grand plan for what he sees as Russia. What role does spirituality play in the conflict? Putin states he wants to rebuild Christendom.

Ezekiel 38-39 continues to dominate our modern day headlines in December 2021. Today we will look at the economic policies of Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan. He decided to cut interest rates again this week. And again, the Turkish Lira continues to crash. Erdogan decided to raise the minimum wage by 50% starting next year. Again, the Turkish Lira continues to crash. Can you say INFLATION!!!
Russia continues to pour military resources to the Ukraine border. Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to a lot of effort with military logistics and transport. Do you think he is bluffing???
