Sukkot comes to an end at sunset on Monday, October 13, 2025 on the traditional Hebrew lunar calendar. Let’s take a look at the events that occurred during the 8 day God Appointment.

President Trump’s Phase 1 of the Middle East Peace plan appears to be underway. Here are the key details. The cease fire between Hamas and Israel is holding… for now.

Iran has come public and admitted the October 7 Hamas invasion into Israel was a mistake.

Quakes in various places… -Jesus

This was a very busy week in geological terms.

The Philippines was home to two big quakes in back to back days in October. Keep in mind, the islands experienced a 6.9 earthquake just a few days earlier on September 30, 2025.

From the recent event, dozens have been injured and seven have perished. Infrastructure has been impacted. Local authorities estimate over $43 million in damages. Tsunamis resulted in minimal damages.

The Drake Strait between Chile and Antarctica was home to an initial 7.8 tremblor. And the experts revised the quake down to a 7.6.

This Week in Prophecy: Cease Fire Ends; Jesus Makes Polymarket; Chaos in Turkey

Zephaniah 2:4-7 For Gaza will be abandoned, and Ashkelon left in ruins. Ashdod will be driven out at noon, and Ekron will be uprooted. Woe to the dwellers of the seacoast, O nation of the Cherethites! The word of the LORD is against you, O Canaan, land of the Philistines: “I will destroy you, and no one will be left.” So the seacoast will become a land of pastures, with wells for shepherds and folds for sheep. The coast will belong to the remnant of the house of Judah; there they will find pasture. They will lie down in the evening among the houses of Ashkelon, for the LORD their God will attend to them and restore their captives.

This is Christ’s physical return to planet Earth. This is different than the resurrection/rapture event where He will draw His bride, the church, into the clouds to meet Him in the air.

Russia & Turkey Broker Cease Fire in Libya, January 2020

While the world has been watching the drama between the United States and Iran…

January 8, 2020: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Erdogan have announced a cease fire in Libya effective 00:00 (midnight) on January 12, 2020.

Putin and Erdogan got together in Istanbul, Turkey to reach the deal. On the surface, it would appear Russia and Turkey are on opposite sides of the conflict.

Russian special forces have been in Libya since March of 2017. Russia supports General Khalifa Haftar of the Libyan National Army (LNA). There are an estimated 2,500 Russian troops in Libya per the Turks.

Libya’s Government of National Accord (GNA) has requested Turkey’s military support. The GNA has the support of the United Nations. As of the posting of this blog, Turkey has sent an estimated 35 troops and this per Turkish state run news outlets.

Oil and money are at the heart of the issue. Libya has the largest oil reserves in Africa. Production is approximately 700,000 barrels per day. With political stability and safety, production could increase to 2,500,000 barrels per day.

The backdrop of the announcement was Russia and Turkey announcing the Turkstream Pipeline. The pipleline carries natural gas from Russia to the west under the Black Sea to Turkey. From there, natural gas is distributed to southern Europe.

Russia is also supporting Turkey with the Akkuyu nuclear power plant which is scheduled to come on line later in 2020.

Ancient Magog (Russia) and his brothers Meshech, Gomer, and Tubal (Turkey) have come together in the name of peace in Libya. Turkey and Russia are drawing closer for economic benefit. The prophet Ezekiel said they would form an alliance at some point in the future. Who knew it would take about 2,600 years from when it was written?

Israel Under Attack, Operational Update, May 2019

May 6, 2019: Ceasefire reached, for now…

Late May 5, 2019: Missiles continue to fly from the Gaza Strip towards Israel. And Israel continues to strike targets inside the Gaza Strip. Injuries and death are increasing on both sides of the conflict. Innocent people are the victims. Israel is targeting Hamas leadership for assassination.

The following updates are per the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Hamas and Islamic Jihad are in need of a new courier for the transfer of money from Iran. Click on the video below for the “Precision Strike”.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made the following remarks.

“This morning, I instructed the IDF to continue massive attacks against terrorist elements in the Gaza Strip. I also ordered the reinforcement of the units around the Gaza Strip with armor, artillery and infantry. Hamas bears the responsibility not only for its own attacks and actions but also for the actions of Islamic Jihad, and it is paying a very heavy price for this. I ask that Israeli citizens strictly adhere to Home Front Command instructions; these instructions save lives. We are working, and will continue to work, to restore quiet and security to the residents of the south.” – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Cease fire negotiations from the United Nations (UN), Qatar, and Egypt have not been successful.

Ezekiel 25:15-17 Thus says the Lord God, “Because the Philistines have acted in revenge and have taken vengeance with scorn of soul to destroy with everlasting enmity,” therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I will stretch out My hand against the Philistines, even cut off the Cherethites and destroy the remnant of the seacoast. I will execute great vengeance on them with wrathful rebukes; and they will know that I am the Lord when I lay My vengeance on them.”
