As of October 2023, current events do not place humanity in the seven year tribulation. Context of Revelation 20 is towards the end of the tribulation. It is not a stretch to see a future time when people are beheaded for their belief in Christ. Hamas and terrorists are willing to behead a group of people because they are infidels as they see it.

Burden of Damascus

Isaiah 17:1 The oracle concerning Damascus. “Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city and will become a fallen ruin.

Damascus is going to be wiped out. The Hebrew is interesting in the description. The grammar states it is going to be taken away and removed. One could state it will be a ruined ruin or a ruined heap!

Isaiah 17:9 In that day their strong cities will be like the deserted places of the wooded heights and the hilltops, which they deserted because of the children of Israel, and there will be desolation.

Jeremiah 49:27 And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall devour the strongholds of Ben-hadad.

The country of Syria has been in Civil War since the spring of 2011. Damascus is the oldest continually inhabited city on the planet. The city’s had residents and inhabitants for over 5,000 years.

Australia steps up its effort to combat COVID 19 with Quarantine Camps. Listen to commentary from public officials themselves and government websites.

Israel continues to establish military and security ties with nations of the Abraham Accords. This time, Morocco is in the news with the Jewish state.

Russia had another busy week in international affairs. The Russians have begun to mass produce their hypersonic missile. Putin has also moved 94,000 troops with equipment to the Ukraine border. Is an invasion on the table? The UN mediator for the pending Libyan elections has resigned? What is going on and who stands to benefit from this move? I dare say Russia and Vladimir Putin.

The United States placed sanctions on the Nord Stream pipeline. What??? Perplexing and confusing policy coming from the Biden Administration.

The volcanic eruption continues to intensify on the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands.

Russian President Vladimir Putin hosted Turkish President Recep Erdogan in Sochi, Russia earlier in the week. Ezekiel’s Magog invasion continues to take shape as the two countries strengthen ties.

Natural gas prices are reaching all time historic highs across Europe as Russia cuts supply. The backdrop… As Israel begins to establish itself in the energy industry with their newly found, plentiful natural gas resources.

Iran has moved significant military hardware to their border with Azerbaijan. Tensions are increasing with their neighbor to the north and west. Iran also confirmed their proxy military resources throughout the Middle East.

Tropical storm Shaheen entered the Gulf of Oman and is bearing down on the Straits of Hormuz in a rare meteorological event.

Russia & Turkey Broker Cease Fire in Libya, January 2020

While the world has been watching the drama between the United States and Iran…

January 8, 2020: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Erdogan have announced a cease fire in Libya effective 00:00 (midnight) on January 12, 2020.

Putin and Erdogan got together in Istanbul, Turkey to reach the deal. On the surface, it would appear Russia and Turkey are on opposite sides of the conflict.

Russian special forces have been in Libya since March of 2017. Russia supports General Khalifa Haftar of the Libyan National Army (LNA). There are an estimated 2,500 Russian troops in Libya per the Turks.

Libya’s Government of National Accord (GNA) has requested Turkey’s military support. The GNA has the support of the United Nations. As of the posting of this blog, Turkey has sent an estimated 35 troops and this per Turkish state run news outlets.

Oil and money are at the heart of the issue. Libya has the largest oil reserves in Africa. Production is approximately 700,000 barrels per day. With political stability and safety, production could increase to 2,500,000 barrels per day.

The backdrop of the announcement was Russia and Turkey announcing the Turkstream Pipeline. The pipleline carries natural gas from Russia to the west under the Black Sea to Turkey. From there, natural gas is distributed to southern Europe.

“The supply of Russian gas through TurkStream will undoubtedly be of great importance not only for the economy of Turkey and the Black Sea region, but will also have a positive impact on the development of many South European countries, and will contribute to improving the energy security of Europe in general,” stated Vladimir Putin.

Russia is also supporting Turkey with the Akkuyu nuclear power plant which is scheduled to come on line later in 2020.

Ancient Magog (Russia) and his brothers Meshech, Gomer, and Tubal (Turkey) have come together in the name of peace in Libya. Turkey and Russia are drawing closer for economic benefit. The prophet Ezekiel said they would form an alliance at some point in the future. Who knew it would take about 2,600 years from when it was written?

Israel, Greece, and Cyprus Participate in Gas Summit, March 2019

Located in the shadows of Mount Olympus, Thessaloniki was a major hub of trade during the Roman Empire. The wealthy city minted its own coins. It was the chief port and capital of Roman Macedonia. Thessaloniki was located on the Via Egnatia, the major road that connected the Roman Empire to the east.

Another large natural gas deposit has been discovered in the eastern Mediterranean Sea near Cyprus.

United States Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt discussed the significance of the natural gas discovery. Here is a paragraph from the story noted in a Greek newspaper in the link below .

He welcomed Greece’s strengthened role in the Balkans, noting that the Prespes Accord is “the most obvious expression” of this development, which will restore Thessaloniki’s historic role as a cosmopolitan crossroad in the Balkans.

The following leaders are expected to attend the meeting on March 20, 2019: United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades.

Israel, Greece, and Cyprus are expected to sign and reach a deal to build a natural gas pipeline from the eastern Mediterranean into Europe.

Prime Minister Netanyahu stated, “(This) will bring vast revenue to the state coffers.”

Russia and Turkey are watching the action closely. The EastMed Pipeline is estimated to cost $8 billion and will deliver up to 12 billion cubic meters of gas annually to Europe. The EastMed will be the deepest under sea pipeline. The line is estimated to be 1,250 miles (2,000 kilometers) long. Egypt is rumored to want in on the action to export their natural gas to Europe.

Greece and Israel are increasing military and economic ties. Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan has called Greece and Cyprus actions “reckless”.

This is direct competition with Russia’s Turk Stream pipeline. This will cut into Russia’s and Turkey’s bottom line. Turkey’s economy has recently fallen into recession.

Ezekiel 38:12 to capture spoil and to seize plunder, to turn your hand against the waste places which are now inhabited, and against the people who are gathered from the nations, who have acquired cattle and goods, who live at the center of the world.

These are the intentions of Gog, the leader of Magog (Russia). The Russians along with Turkey, Iran, and others are going to invade to steal natural resources from Israel.

The pieces of the puzzle keep falling into place…

Trump Announces Troop Removal From Syria, December 2018

December 2018: President Trump has announced that US troops will be withdrawing from Syria immediately.

Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan approved of the move. Keep in mind, Erdogan is currently massing troops and equipment on the Turkey/Syria border east of the Euphrates River and warning of a pending invasion. His goal is to rid the region of terrorism. Specifically, the threat is land possessed by the Kurdish People’s Protection Units or also known as the YPG.

Before Trump made his statement release, an arms deal with Turkey was announced. Per the State Department, $3.5 billion worth of Patriot missile systems were sold to Turkey.

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin joined in the praise of Trump’s decision. He responded by promising to increase a permanent Russian military presence in Syria.

Recent history shows when one force leaves the Middle East another will take its place. Somebody will fill the vacuum created by the United States leaving Syria. More Russian and Turkish forces will be entering into Syria. The troop build up continues. Israel’s northern border is at risk.

Trend Update: Turkey, Pro Kurd Politicians Arrested, November 2016

November 4, 2016: President Recep Erdogan of Turkey has shut down social media. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and WhatsApp are examples. WhatsApp was instrumental in the coup attempt this past summer.

Pro-Kurdish political figures have been arrested and detained. Violence in Pro-Kurd areas is increasing as result.

Economic conditions are deteriorating in Turkey. President Erdogan has reportedly sold U.S. Treasuries. The Turkish Lira is dropping in value and is at its lowest level historically. The stock market continues to decline. The ten year bond is yielding 10.37% and rising.

Remember, the United States has nuclear weapons at the Incirlik Air Base in southern Turkey.

Erdogan’s actions and posturing continue to be aggressive.
