Ezekiel 38: Ancient Put or modern day Libya.

Put or Phut: a son of Ham, his descendants and their land. -Strong’s Concordance

Derna, Libya: Medicane Daniel has struck Libya. Death toll estimates are over 20,000. Some have commented off the record, the death toll could approach 40,000. Over 30,000 people are now homeless.

The primary culprit for all of the damage is the collapse of two dams above the city. The wall of water was estimated to be over 20 feet high.

Genesis 6:4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of mankind, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

The Mexican Congress hearings brought forth two nonhuman beings this past week. Allegedly, the two bodies were naturally preserved and are believed to be about 1,000 years old.

Scientists indicate these are “ancient Peruvian mummies or manipulated mummies“.

Revelation 16:4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of waters; and they became blood.

These events above are towards the end of the seven year tribulation. As of September 2023, the tribulation has yet to begin.

Not exactly the fulfillment of prophecy, but a reminder of what is to come for the rivers and the springs of the planet.

Leviticus 23:23-25 Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord.’”

Numbers 29:1 ‘Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall also have a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work. It will be to you a day for blowing trumpets.

The shofar is blown 100 times on the Feast of Trumpets. There are three different sounds (Tekiah, Shevarim, Teruah). Each is blown three times for a total of 9 blasts. This pattern is completed 11 times for a total of 99 blasts. The last blast is set aside. It is the longest and loudest. It is known as the “Last Trump”. References provided by (El Shaddai Ministries).

The Feast of Trumpets is also known as the “Hidden Day”.

Psalm 27:5 For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.

Zephaniah 2:3 Seek the LORD, All you humble of the earth who have carried out His ordinances; seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the LORD’S anger.

Remember, Jews visit cemeteries during the Hebrew month of Elul. Jewish belief and tradition are the resurrection of the dead will occur during the period of Teshuvah. Specifically, the resurrection of the dead is to occur on the New Moon holiday of the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah/Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets.

What is the Apostle Paul telling us in Colossians 2?

Colossians 2:16-17 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day— things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

This is not some Old Testament warm and fuzzy tradition. God has a point and a reason. He has not forgotten and He does not play dice. God has singled out this appointed holiday for a purpose. Judaism has been rehearsing this holiday for thousands of years since Moses.

Observations regarding the words of the Apostle Paul in Colossians 2.

  1. Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah is a legal Feast per the Mosaic Law.
  2. This is the only New Moon Festival.
  3. The day is legally a day of rest or a Sabbath regardless, even if it is not Saturday, the legal Sabbath day of the week.
  4. This Hebrew year, 5784 or 2023 on our Western Calendar, it is possible for the new moon to be seen on a Sabbath. The calculated day is for the new moon on Sabbath.

…things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

Of the seven times (number of completeness and perfection) the original Greek word skia/σκιά is used in the New Testament, it is consistently translated as “shadow“. Paul is telling us, something is coming on this day.

Jesus is the one casting the “shadow“. The shadow in the Greek has a looming presence. In the future, Christ is doing something on this day.

Be ready every day. Christ is doing the heavy lifting by raising believers to meet Him in the clouds. Resurrection and rapture on the Feast of Trumpets???

God’s Fall Appointments, 5784/2023

God’s Fall Appointments are the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles.

Below is a brief 10 minute video that provides a framework for God’s fall appointed holidays. The video is compliments of T.W. Tramm. Check out his writings and his work in the links below. Facebook has been recently removing his articles regarding the rapture. T.W. is always thought provoking and backs his writing with Scriptural evidence. Tramm does his homework.

The beginning of the Jewish civil new year is upon us within the next couple of weeks. This is the Hebrew month of Tishri. It will be the Hebrew year 5784.

Numbers 29:1 ‘Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall also have a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work. It will be to you a day for blowing trumpets.

See also Leviticus 23:23-25.

The first fall holiday has many names. It is called the Feast of Trumpets by Christians. It is recognized as the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. Some refer to it as the “Hidden Day” or the “Wedding of the Messiah”. In Judaism, it is called Yom Teruah which means the “Day of Blowing”.

The date for Yom Teruah is calculated to be near sunset Friday, September 15th or possibly a couple of days later (traditional Gregorian calendar). This date is confirmed pending the sighting of the new moon. The new year begins when the new moon is confirmed by two witnesses. Yom Teruah ends two days later. The confirmation of the new moon will ultimately determine the dates of the subsequent fall appointments.

The fundamental difference in determining the new moon is simple. 21st century, modern day man calculates the new moon. The new moon is determined when there is actually no moon at all to be observed in the sky. The moon is occluded by the earth and the sun is unable to shed its light on the heavenly object.

In ancient Biblical days, the new moon was determined when the crescent sliver of the new moon was observed. The crescent moon was seen in the sky.

~

The second fall holiday is the Day of Atonement. See Leviticus 16. Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement is celebrated on Tishri 10th. It is the last day of the 40 day period of Teshuvah or repent in the Hebrew. This holiday is viewed at the holiest day of Judaism. The day is a Sabbath day of rest. Yom Kippur is the only day a fast is required. The day begins at sun down. This is the busiest day of the year for the high priest with multiple animal sacrifices.

The beginning for the Day of Atonement in 2023 is at sundown Sunday, September 24th and ends the following Monday evening on September 25th. This date is ultimately determined by the confirmation of the new moon 10 days earlier.

Leviticus 23:33-36 Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the LORD. On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work of any kind. For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the LORD; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work.’”

The third and last fall holiday on God’s calendar is Tabernacles. It is also called Sukkot, the Feast of Booths, the Festival of Tents, or the Feast of the Harvest because it was after the harvest in the fall. Simply put, it was also called “the feast” or “the festival”. This festival is a week-long festival from Tishri 15 to 21 on a Hebrew calendar.

On our western Gregorian calendar, in 2023, the Feast of Tabernacles will be observed from about Friday, September 29th to Friday, October 6th, again pending the new moon confirmed at the beginning of the Hebrew month of Tishri.

There are seven God appointed holidays communicated through the Mosaic Law. The first four in the Spring were fulfilled to the day by Jesus Himself with His death, burial, resurrection, and the giving of the Holy Spirit. If the first four spring holidays were fulfilled on the God appointed holiday, why would the Fall holidays be any different?

Sukkot/Tabernacles 5783/2022

Leviticus 23:33-36 Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the LORD. On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work of any kind. For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the LORD; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work.’”

When working in the fields during harvest, people lived in tents. The tents served as a reminder of the forty years of wandering in the desert after the Exodus from Egypt. The holiday is a reminder of the provision and safety God showed Israel during their travels in the desert as noted in Deuteronomy 8. The feast is a thanksgiving for the harvest of grapes (Exodus 23:16). It is to be a joyous festival (Deuteronomy 16:14). Sabbatical rest without work is part of the holiday. (New Manners and Customs of Bible Times).

This is the last of God’s appointed feasts or festivals. This holiday is known by many names. It is called the Feast of Tabernacles, Sukkot, the Feast of Booths, the Festival of Tents, or the Feast of the Harvest because it is after the harvest in the fall. Simply put, it is also called “the feast” or “the festival”.

The new moon was identified in Israel on Tuesday, September 27th, 2022. Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles/15th Day of the 7th Month is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 11th at sunset. As calculated by modern man, Tabernacles is scheduled to begin on sunset Sunday, October 9th through Sunday, October 16th, 2022.

Tishri is the seventh month on a Hebrew calendar. This festival is a week-long festival from Tishri 15 to 21.

Tabernacles is the last of three festivals where men are required to make a road trip to Jerusalem and go to the Temple.

Per Zechariah 14:16-19, the Feast of Booths is the only God appointed holiday gentile nations will be required to attend. The nations will be required to go before the Lord Jesus Christ during the Feast of Booths. For those nations who do not attend, no rain for your crops.

Zechariah 14:16-19 Then all the survivors from the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD of Hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. And should any of the families of the earth not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of Hosts, then the rain will not fall on them. And if the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths. This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.

Jubilee

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Jubilee, Prophecy with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on October 17, 2021 by paulthepoke

Leviticus 25:8-13 “You shall count seven weeks of years, seven times seven years, so that the time of the seven weeks of years shall give you forty-nine years. Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, when each of you shall return to his property and each of you shall return to his clan. That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; in it you shall neither sow nor reap what grows of itself nor gather the grapes from the undressed vines. For it is a jubilee. It shall be holy to you. You may eat the produce of the field. In this year of jubilee each of you shall return to his property.”

Moses is the author of Leviticus. God relayed the information to Moses. This took place in the desert at the tent of meeting or the tabernacle. God’s chosen people are out of Egypt. They had not entered the Promised Land of Israel. It is mentioned over 50 times in the book of Leviticus. God communicated to Moses.

Leviticus 1:1 Then the LORD called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying…

The Hebrew word for “jubilee” is yovel. Per Strong’s Concordance: It means ram’s horn, trumpet, or cornet. It is also translated jubilee.

Per Scripture, we do know a jubilee year is proclaimed after the seventh Sabbatical or Shemitah year. The sequence calls for back to back years of rest for the land. By definition, the 50th year is proclaimed after the 49th (see above verses). The question is knowing the sequence of Sabbatical or Shemitah years. Which Sabbatical/Shemitah year is the first in the sequence?

The jubilee year is to be proclaimed on the Day of Atonement, one of God’s fall appointments. Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land.

Determining the next year of jubilee is highly controversial. Some believe a year of jubilee was proclaimed on Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement in the fall of 2015. Others believe it is not possible to determine the next jubilee. Some believe the year cannot be determined until nation Israel is represented by all tribes.

The nation of Israel and religious leaders did not proclaim a year of jubilee in 2015.

Nation Israel has not recognized a jubilee year in 2,000 years plus (God’s Final Jubilee, Dan Goodwin). At this point, only God knows.

A famous American Landmark, the Liberty Bell, was inspired by the Hebrew concept of jubilee. The inscription on the Liberty Bell quotes…

Leviticus 25:10b…proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants…

Attention, there is not consensus in regards to the starting of the Fall Feasts. Depending on the calculations of the specific group, the Appointments could start as early as September 6 or as late as October 8 as well as points in between. Humanity and their calculations instead of God’s instruction of observation are the issues. Broken sinners cannot follow God’s directions.

In October 2020, The Feast is scheduled to start on October 2 at sun down and run through October 9 sun down on our Gregorian calendar. In God’s timing, The Festival is scheduled to start on Tishri 15-21. Tishri 1 is declared when the new moon is sighted.

Remember man’s calendars and God’s day planner may not be on the same page. In fact, they are not…

It is God’s desire to live with humanity.

We mostly think about when God comes to Earth to dwell with us. Jesus lived with humanity 2,000 years ago (Gospel Accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). The Holy Spirit has indwelled in believers since the beginning of the church in Acts 2. Christ has promised to return to Earth and reign for 1,000 years (Revelation 20). Eventually, God the Father will tabernacle with His creation on Earth in Revelation 21.

The beginning for the Day of Atonement in 2020 is Sunday, September 27 or Monday, September 28 at sun down.

On our western Gregorian calendar, in 2020, the Feast of Tabernacles will be observed from Friday, October 2 or Friday, October 9, again pending the new moon confirmed at the beginning of the Hebrew month of Tishri.

There are seven God appointed holidays communicated through the Mosaic Law. The first four were fulfilled to the day by Jesus Himself with His death, burial, resurrection, and the giving of the Holy Spirit. If the first four spring holidays were fulfilled on the God appointed holiday, why would the fall holidays be any different?

God’s fall appointments are the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles. Below is a brief 10 minute video that provides a framework for God’s fall appointed holidays.

It is the beginning of the civil new year. This is the Hebrew month of Tishri. It is the Hebrew year 5780.

The date for Yom Teruah is near Sunday, September 29 or Monday, September 30, 2019 (traditional Gregorian calendar). This date is confirmed pending the sighting of the new moon. The new year begins when the new moon is confirmed by two witnesses. Yom Teruah ends two days later. The confirmation of the new moon will ultimately determine the dates of the subsequent fall appointments.
