Leviticus 23:33-36 Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the LORD. On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work of any kind. For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the LORD; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work.’”

The seven day holiday was initiated at sunset on Friday, September 29, 2023 and runs through Saturday, October 07, 2023. On God’s calendar, The Festival is scheduled to start on Tishri 15-21.

Sukkot is one of the three Festivals where Israelites are commanded to make the road trip to the Temple in Jerusalem.

Exodus 23:14-17 Three times in the year you shall keep a feast to me. You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. As I commanded you, you shall eat unleavened bread for seven days at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. None shall appear before me empty-handed. You shall keep the Feast of Harvest, of the firstfruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field. You shall keep the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in from the field the fruit of your labor. Three times in the year shall all your males appear before the Lord God. See also Exodus 34:23-24.

We mostly think about when God comes to Earth to dwell with us. Jesus lived with humanity 2,000 years ago (Gospel Accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). The Holy Spirit has indwelled in believers since the beginning of the church in Acts 2. Christ has promised to return to Earth and reign for 1,000 years (Revelation 20). Eventually, God the Father will tabernacle with His creation on Earth in Revelation 21.

John 19:40 So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen wrappings with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews. (possibly the Shroud of Turin)

Of note, Scripture makes it clear the burial cloth and the head wrapping are separate.

John 20:7 and the face-cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen wrappings but folded up in a place by itself. (possibly Sudarium of Oviedo)

Not that it really matters what Jesus looks like… But according to Artificial Intelligence (AI) software processing of the Shroud of Turin, here is the rendering.

Ezekiel 38 Magog, Put, and Cush

Ezekiel’s gang continues to take shape and form stronger alliances. Magog’s (modern day Russia) current leader, President Vladimir Putin had meetings with counter parts from Put (Libya) and Cush (South Sudan) this week.

September 28, 2023, Moscow: General Khalifa Haftar met with President Putin. In the past, General Khalifa was tight with the Wagner Group of Russia. Khalifa primarily controls the eastern part of Libya. Details of the meeting were not released. Just letting everyone know we talked…

We here at the blog have been following General Khalifa since 2017. As a friendly reminder, Libya has the largest oil and gas reserves in Africa.

September 29, 2023, Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday said relations between Russia and South Sudan were developing “intensively”. Speaking at a meeting with the South Sudan President Salva Kiir in Moscow, Putin noted Russia was one of the first countries to recognise the sovereignty and independence of South Sudan.

“I must say we believe that we have a lot to do, primarily in the area of economic development,” Putin added.

Kiir said he was happy for the warm welcome and stressed that he was in Moscow “as an opening for our long work in the future.”

South Sudan was one of the African countries present at the Russia-Africa summit in St. Petersburg.

The meeting took place as Kremlin seeks more allies amid the military campaign in Ukraine.

Luke 21:11 There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences

September 30, 2023, Punjab Province, Pakistan: A massive outbreak of conjunctivitis or Pink Eye is spreading.

Pink Eye or Conjunctivitis is an irritation or inflammation of the conjunctiva, which covers the white part of the eyeball. It can be caused by allergies or a bacterial or viral infection. Conjunctivitis can be extremely contagious, and is spread by contact with eye secretions from someone who is infected.

Symptoms include redness, itching, and tearing of the eyes. It can also lead to discharge or crusting around the eyes.

It’s important to stop wearing contact lenses while affected by conjunctivitis. It often resolves on its own, but treatment can speed the recovery process. Allergic conjunctivitis can be treated with antihistamines. Bacterial conjunctivitis can be treated with antibiotic eye drops.

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/pink-eye/symptoms-causes/syc-20376355

  • The provincial health department says 394,795 cases of the eye infection have so far been reported in all 36 districts of Punjab
  • Interim health minister assures the public the government is making active efforts to control infectious diseases in Pakistan

Schools have been closed for 4 days in an attempt to stop the spread of Pink Eye.

“The scourge of dengue virus and eye infection will be controlled through collective efforts and coordinated strategy and though it is a difficult task but still achievable,” Nadeem Jan, Pakistan’s Interim Health Minister.

According to the Associated Press of Pakistan news agency, Jan assured the public the government was actively implementing effective measures to control disease outbreaks in the country, adding that a committee of experts had been assembled to comprehensively address the matter.

Personally, I would recommend all healthcare professionals in Pakistan utilize Universal Precautions and start by the washing of hands and wearing latex gloves. One of set of gloves per patient is recommended. Please don’t rub your eyes. Please refer to link above from Mayo Clinic.

God’s Fall Appointments, 5784/2023

God’s Fall Appointments are the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles.

Below is a brief 10 minute video that provides a framework for God’s fall appointed holidays. The video is compliments of T.W. Tramm. Check out his writings and his work in the links below. Facebook has been recently removing his articles regarding the rapture. T.W. is always thought provoking and backs his writing with Scriptural evidence. Tramm does his homework.

The beginning of the Jewish civil new year is upon us within the next couple of weeks. This is the Hebrew month of Tishri. It will be the Hebrew year 5784.

Numbers 29:1 ‘Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall also have a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work. It will be to you a day for blowing trumpets.

See also Leviticus 23:23-25.

The first fall holiday has many names. It is called the Feast of Trumpets by Christians. It is recognized as the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. Some refer to it as the “Hidden Day” or the “Wedding of the Messiah”. In Judaism, it is called Yom Teruah which means the “Day of Blowing”.

The date for Yom Teruah is calculated to be near sunset Friday, September 15th or possibly a couple of days later (traditional Gregorian calendar). This date is confirmed pending the sighting of the new moon. The new year begins when the new moon is confirmed by two witnesses. Yom Teruah ends two days later. The confirmation of the new moon will ultimately determine the dates of the subsequent fall appointments.

The fundamental difference in determining the new moon is simple. 21st century, modern day man calculates the new moon. The new moon is determined when there is actually no moon at all to be observed in the sky. The moon is occluded by the earth and the sun is unable to shed its light on the heavenly object.

In ancient Biblical days, the new moon was determined when the crescent sliver of the new moon was observed. The crescent moon was seen in the sky.

~

The second fall holiday is the Day of Atonement. See Leviticus 16. Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement is celebrated on Tishri 10th. It is the last day of the 40 day period of Teshuvah or repent in the Hebrew. This holiday is viewed at the holiest day of Judaism. The day is a Sabbath day of rest. Yom Kippur is the only day a fast is required. The day begins at sun down. This is the busiest day of the year for the high priest with multiple animal sacrifices.

The beginning for the Day of Atonement in 2023 is at sundown Sunday, September 24th and ends the following Monday evening on September 25th. This date is ultimately determined by the confirmation of the new moon 10 days earlier.

The third and last fall holiday on God’s calendar is Tabernacles. It is also called Sukkot, the Feast of Booths, the Festival of Tents, or the Feast of the Harvest because it was after the harvest in the fall. Simply put, it was also called “the feast” or “the festival”. This festival is a week-long festival from Tishri 15 to 21 on a Hebrew calendar.

On our western Gregorian calendar, in 2023, the Feast of Tabernacles will be observed from about Friday, September 29th to Friday, October 6th, again pending the new moon confirmed at the beginning of the Hebrew month of Tishri.

There are seven God appointed holidays communicated through the Mosaic Law. The first four in the Spring were fulfilled to the day by Jesus Himself with His death, burial, resurrection, and the giving of the Holy Spirit. If the first four spring holidays were fulfilled on the God appointed holiday, why would the Fall holidays be any different?

Sukkot/Tabernacles 5783/2022

Leviticus 23:33-36 Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the LORD. On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work of any kind. For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the LORD; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work.’”

When working in the fields during harvest, people lived in tents. The tents served as a reminder of the forty years of wandering in the desert after the Exodus from Egypt. The holiday is a reminder of the provision and safety God showed Israel during their travels in the desert as noted in Deuteronomy 8. The feast is a thanksgiving for the harvest of grapes (Exodus 23:16). It is to be a joyous festival (Deuteronomy 16:14). Sabbatical rest without work is part of the holiday. (New Manners and Customs of Bible Times).

This is the last of God’s appointed feasts or festivals. This holiday is known by many names. It is called the Feast of Tabernacles, Sukkot, the Feast of Booths, the Festival of Tents, or the Feast of the Harvest because it is after the harvest in the fall. Simply put, it is also called “the feast” or “the festival”.

The new moon was identified in Israel on Tuesday, September 27th, 2022. Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles/15th Day of the 7th Month is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 11th at sunset. As calculated by modern man, Tabernacles is scheduled to begin on sunset Sunday, October 9th through Sunday, October 16th, 2022.

Tishri is the seventh month on a Hebrew calendar. This festival is a week-long festival from Tishri 15 to 21.

Tabernacles is the last of three festivals where men are required to make a road trip to Jerusalem and go to the Temple.

Per Zechariah 14:16-19, the Feast of Booths is the only God appointed holiday gentile nations will be required to attend. The nations will be required to go before the Lord Jesus Christ during the Feast of Booths. For those nations who do not attend, no rain for your crops.

Zechariah 14:16-19 Then all the survivors from the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD of Hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. And should any of the families of the earth not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of Hosts, then the rain will not fall on them. And if the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths. This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.

Attention, there is not consensus in regards to the starting of the Fall Feasts. Depending on the calculations of the specific group, the Appointments could start as early as September 6 or as late as October 8 as well as points in between. Humanity and their calculations instead of God’s instruction of observation are the issues. Broken sinners cannot follow God’s directions.

There Shall Be Seven Weeks: Feasts (Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot/Booths)

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Angels, Fall Feasts, Prophecy with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 22, 2021 by paulthepoke

Daniel 9:25b …there shall be seven weeks…

The context of this series of posts is the course of the Jewish people for the initial 49 years of the 483 year period communicated from the angel Gabriel to the prophet Daniel. The city of Jerusalem has been rebuilt post exile. These events are covered in Nehemiah 8-13. Israel is returning to God’s Law. The focus is on God’s appointed holidays. This week, the Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot is the topic.

This is the last of God’s appointed feasts or festivals. This holiday is known by many names. It is called the Feast of Tabernacles, Sukkot, the Feast of Booths, the Festival of Tents, or the Feast of the Harvest because it was after the harvest in the fall. Simply put, it was also called “the feast” or “the festival”.

This festival is a week-long festival from Tishri 15 to 21.

Jews sing Isaiah 12:3 Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation, during Sukkot. The feast is a reminder to the Jewish people they lived in tents after the Exodus from Egypt. In addition, the Feast of Tabernacles requires sacrifices of sin offerings and burnt offerings. At the time of preparation for the morning sacrifice, a priest descends to the Pool of Siloam amidst great music, celebration, and singing of Isaiah 12:3, and fills a golden pitcher with water. After dipping his pitcher in Siloam’s water, the priest returns to the Temple Mount and pours the water into one of the silver basins by the altar (Wayne Stiles, Insight for Living).

All three members of the Trinity will dwell with humanity. Isaiah 12 refers to the promise of the Holy Spirit and the reign of Jesus. The Holy Spirit was given to believers of Christ at Pentecost (Acts 2) and ushered in the Church Age. He will return on the Mount of Olives with an earthquake.

Zechariah 14:4 In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.

Revelation 19 has Jesus returning to Earth to initiate his 1,000 year reign and He will live with humanity.

The ultimate expression of “the feast” after the Millennial Kingdom is with God and the New Jerusalem.

Revelation 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them…

And He is going to live and dwell with us, forever…

There Shall Be Seven Weeks: Re-establishing the Law

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Angels with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on January 24, 2021 by paulthepoke

Daniel 9:25 Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time.

The angel Gabriel indicated to Daniel the time frame before the coming of the Messiah or the “anointed one” shall be a total of 69 weeks. The time period is separated.

seven weeks or (7 X 7) + sixty-two weeks or (62 X 7) = 483 years.

483 years X 360 days = 173,880 days.

The focus is the initial seven weeks or 49 years.

The initial 49 years of the time period are the events described in the book of Nehemiah after the rebuilding of the wall in Jerusalem.

With the construction of Jerusalem and the wall completed, Nehemiah focused on the re-establishment of God’s Law.

Nehemiah 8:2 So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could understand what they heard, on the first day of the seventh month.

Notice the time point.

…on the first day of the seventh month. This would be the beginning of the Fall Feasts. The day is Yom Teruah or the Feast of Trumpets. Today, we also know it as Rosh Hashanah.

For more information on the Feast of Trumpets, see the links below.

According to Mosaic Law, Yom Teruah is a call for the people to assemble. Ezra read the Law to the assembled people in Jerusalem.

While reading the Law to the people of Jerusalem, Israel learned of Sukkot, Tabernacles, or the Feast of Booths. This is the third and last holiday of the Fall Feasts. This festival is a week-long festival from Tishri 15 to 21 on a Hebrew calendar.

Israel would follow the instructions for “The Feast” as directed by the Mosaic Law. Jews communicated throughout the Promised Land about the occasion. They gathered the required materials and built their booths. The people responded with participation and celebration.

This would mark the first time in Israel’s history, the Jewish people would celebrate Sukkot as God had communicated to Moses in the Law in the land of Israel.

Nehemiah 8:17 And all the assembly of those who had returned from the captivity made booths and lived in the booths, for from the days of Joshua the son of Nun to that day the people of Israel had not done so. And there was very great rejoicing

Israel renewed their commitment to God. They gathered as a nation in Jerusalem. The people listened to the Law as read by Ezra. And they kept the Fall Feasts.

Nehemiah 8:18 And day by day, from the first day to the last day, he read from the Book of the Law of God. They kept the feast seven days, and on the eighth day there was a solemn assembly, according to the rule.

God waited patiently on His chosen people. 1,000 years after Moses delivered God’s Law, Israel repented. They returned to God.

Deuteronomy 16:13 You shall keep the Feast of Booths seven days, when you have gathered in the produce from your threshing floor and your winepress.

In October 2020, The Feast is scheduled to start on October 2 at sun down and run through October 9 sun down on our Gregorian calendar.

Trump was transferred and admitted to Walter Reed Hospital just before Tabernacles/Sukkot began. Some may say this is a coincidence. Some may not. Your call.

Sukkot/Tabernacles 5781/2020

Leviticus 23:33-36 Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the LORD. On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work of any kind. For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the LORD; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work.’”

This festival is a week-long festival from Tishri 15 to 21.

In October 2020, The Feast is scheduled to start on October 2 at sun down and run through October 9 sun down on our Gregorian calendar. In God’s timing, The Festival is scheduled to start on Tishri 15-21. Tishri 1 is declared when the new moon is sighted.

Remember man’s calendars and God’s day planner may not be on the same page. In fact, they are not…

It is God’s desire to live with humanity.

God’s Fall Appointments, 5781/2020

God’s fall appointments are the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles.

Below is a brief 10 minute video that provides a framework for God’s fall appointed holidays. The video is compliments of T.W. Tramm. Check out his writings and his work. T.W. is always thought provoking.

This is the beginning of the civil new year. This is the Hebrew month of Tishri. It is the Hebrew year 5781.

The date for Yom Teruah is near Friday, September 18 or Saturday, September 19, 2020 (traditional Gregorian calendar). This date is confirmed pending the sighting of the new moon. The new year begins when the new moon is confirmed by two witnesses. Yom Teruah ends two days later. The confirmation of the new moon will ultimately determine the dates of the subsequent fall appointments.

The beginning for the Day of Atonement in 2020 is Sunday, September 27 or Monday, September 28 at sun down. This date is ultimately determined by the confirmation of the new moon 10 days earlier.

On our western Gregorian calendar, in 2020, the Feast of Tabernacles will be observed from Friday, October 2 or Friday, October 9, again pending the new moon confirmed at the beginning of the Hebrew month of Tishri.

There are seven God appointed holidays communicated through the Mosaic Law. The first four were fulfilled to the day by Jesus Himself with His death, burial, resurrection, and the giving of the Holy Spirit. If the first four spring holidays were fulfilled on the God appointed holiday, why would the fall holidays be any different?

Jesus is coming again…
