Wars & Rumors of Wars, January 2024

Mark 13:7 And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet.

Jesus is letting us know from about 2,000 years ago in the past. Wars and rumors of wars will happen before He returns. The point is not to create “Fear Porn”. Christ is telling us, “do not be alarmed.“

The Greek word for alarmed is θροέω / throeó. The word can also be translated as: disturbed, troubled, agitated.

Are wars awful, yes. Bloodshed and death are currently happening and escalating.

We are trending towards the end. There is no need for drama or confusion. We are told wars and rumors of war are coming so we can know “the end is not yet.“

Newly elected President Daniel Noboa has effectively declared war on drug gangs in Ecuador.

Noboa took office in November touting his ‘Phoenix Plan’ for security, including a new intelligence unit, tactical weapons for security forces, new high-security prisons and reinforced security at ports and airports.

For those who are counting, that is 10 member nations. Is this the 10 nation group mentioned in Daniel and Revelation? I doubt it. This group is looking to expand. There are many others who are looking to join the BRICS club.

1 Samuel 17:4 And there came out from the camp of the Philistines a champion named Goliath of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

For those who are not familiar, Goliath is an ancient Philistine. He was roughly 9 feet tall and a few inches.

The modern day Gaza Strip is located in the ancient land of the Philistines. Ancient Gath appears to be close to what is modern day Kiryat Gat, Israel.

And to this day, this geography remains an area of conflict.

Pirate activity is intensifying in the Red Sea.

The Philippines has experienced an active seismic week. Two earthquakes over 7.0 magnitude plus over 100 more after shocks.

At the same time of increased quake activity in the Philippines, Indonesia experienced a significant volcanic eruption in West Sumatra, Mount Marapai. The death toll currently stands at 22.

About four to five days ago, there was a coordinated media effort to scare the hell out of the world with news regarding “White Lung Syndrome”. This outbreak originated in China of course. Now in the press… crickets…

Antisemitism is on the rise around the world. Congressional hearings were held with the Presidents of Harvard, Penn, and MIT. These three ladies are charged with the job of overseeing the education of the best students.

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, a Harvard alumni, had multiple rounds of questions for the Presidents of Harvard, MIT, and UPenn, for their failure to condemn antisemitism and anti-Israel rhetoric on campus.

God is talking to Job. Here is a likely hint into the end times scenario. It seems plausible as “the day” draws closer, frozen precipitation will increase.

Woe to you inhabitants of the seacoast, you nation of the Cherethites! The word of the LORD is against you, O Canaan, land of the Philistines; and I will destroy you until no inhabitant is left.

Here is the latest from the Gaza Strip. The hostage exchanges are coming to a close. Well, maybe… The truce and hostage exchange has been extended another two days.

Ezekiel 38:22-23 I will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed. I will pour out torrents of rain, hailstones, fire, and sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him. The events above are not the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38. The context of those verses are modern day northern Israel in and around the Golan Heights. This is a little taste of what is to come for Magog, modern day Russia, and friends (Turkey, Iran, Libya, Sudan, Ethiopia, others and proxies).

Russia and Turkey are looking to have a natural gas hub in Turkey. Russia’s Gazprom and Turkey’s Botas are working together.

A Hospital, Hamas, & Media/Lebanon & Hezbollah/Iron Beam & Lasers/Lawless in Europe/Russia & China

Exodus 20:16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

And the main stream media wonders why some folks don’t find them credible. These are the same people who lecture the world about “fact checkers” and “truth”.

A couple of nights ago, the world was lead to believe that Israel had bombed a hospital in the Gaza Strip killing over 500 and destroying the hospital. The incident occurred in the dark of the night.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett took to X and posted some comments.

Then, the sun came up and shed some light on the situation.

Based on a Hamas communication, it would appear the incident is due to an Islamic Jihad misfired rocket.

Lebanon/Hezbollah: Rocket and missile fire continues to steadily increase on the northern border between Israel and Hezbollah.

Hezbollah is continually taking responsibility for multiple attacks on the border with Israel in the north. The tweet below was released by Iranian news.

Hamas, What Does it Mean?

What is the meaning of the word “hamas”? Well… that depends on who you ask.

I want to give a shout out to my cousin Lance who sent me a text regarding this topic.

Hamas or the Islamic Resistance Movement is a Sunni Muslim organization. The title is an acronym from an Arabic phrase.

The Arabic word “hamas” means: zeal, strength, bravery.

However, there is the Hebrew word “hamas“. Per lexicons and dictionaries in the Hebrew, “hamas” means violence. The word is translated as violence, wrong, or malicious in the Bible.

The first time “hamas” is used in the Bible is in Genesis before the flood.

Genesis 6:11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence.

Genesis 6:13 And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

And with this initial recognition and observation, God’s response to humanity’s violence is to eliminate “hamas“. Humanity had defiled the earth or the land with violence. Note also, God’s original intent was to destroy the earth along with humanity. And He did with water.

Let’s take a look at what a prophet had to say about violence or “hamas“.

The context of Ezekiel 7 is judgment on the land of Israel. Judgment is being rendered against violence or “hamas“.

Ezekiel 7:11 Violence has grown up into a rod of wickedness. None of them shall remain, nor their abundance, nor their wealth; neither shall there be preeminence among them.

Ezekiel 7:23 Forge a chain! For the land is full of bloody crimes and the city is full of violence.

Ezekiel 7:25 When anguish comes, they will seek peace, but there shall be none.
