Straight Talk… The Vine, Rodna Epley

Posted in Rodna Epley, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , on August 30, 2018 by paulthepoke

Rodna LightThis revelation came in to me recently by the Holy Spirit about the Vine pattern in the Word itself. It takes stepping back and looking at the Word as a whole. There is a much bigger picture that God has for us although all the contextual parts are also very important for focusing in on specific areas. I can see many topics that have this vine pattern from the holistic perspective, but since I love the glory topic and it’s the very purpose of the Gospel according to 2 Thessalonians 2:14 my focus here is the glory!

2 Thessalonians 2:14 To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Vine&Glory Rodna

From Yahweh in the old covenant to the prophecy in Isaiah, God would share His glory with only one other – The Messiah…

to Jesus demonstrating for all of us how to operate in the glory through the Father’s works He performed…

to Jesus giving us the same glory He was given by the Father before the world was, so that we could be restored to the Father through Himself…

to know the Father’s love…

to become one as a church…

to believe the Father sent Jesus, so that we could do the works He did including raising the dead, casting out demons, healing the sick, etc., and “greater works” than those too because “we abide in Him and His Word abides in us we can ask whatever we desire and it will be done” according to Jesus. Part of these greater works is taking dominion over creation itself which are the works of His hands.

And this all gives the Father glory Jesus said.

I love the Word ❤️. It’s simple and very complex at the same time. The knowledge of God is inexhaustible. The Lord has been working on opening up my imagination lately. This is necessary to enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus said we all must become like little children. While we continue to grow in the knowledge of God, knowledge of His glory, we wholeheartedly believe that all things truly are possible. Learn to do the works that Jesus did and “greater works”. This is what it means to be part of being in the family of God, to be in His kingdom. His kingdom is saturated with the Presence of the Father’s Glory.

And its end will come with a flood, Part 3…Featuring Phil Kulis

Posted in Phil Kulis, Prophecy, Revelation with tags , , , , , on August 25, 2017 by paulthepoke

PhilKulis Pic“But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Jesus according to Matthew 24:37-39

So now we have two questions.
1. Where can we find a time that would indicate a flood at the end of the interval between the 69th and the 70th Week?

2. Does that flood indicate the coming of the Son of Man?

Our second question: Is there an indication of the coming of the Son of Man at that time of the flood? Yes!

The people themselves declare that the “great day” of the wrath of the Lamb has come. They confirm the coming of the Son of Man. Similar to the “Left Behind” story where people were sealed in an airliner in flight, these people sealed in underground bunkers see their bunker mates disappear and figure out what happened. And in the very next chapter there is a depiction of the rapture from a heavenly perspective.

This earthquake and flooding provides a perfect “cover” for the rapture event. When those who are underground during the events of the Sixth Seal return to the surface, there will be many missing people and perhaps scattered stories of those who claim to have witnessed believers disappearing before their very eyes just as the events unfolded. But because of the massive devastation, there will be plausible deniability by those who refuse to believe it and they will say they were lost in the floods and earthquake damage.

After the Rapture, a strong delusion will be sent upon those who have no regard for the truth.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 …and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Revelation chapter Six ends with massive devastation with people in their bunkers. In chapter Seven, we see a multitude that no one can count has appeared in Heaven waving palm branches and praising God for being saved! I believe these are the raptured saints.

Jesus refers to the things that happen before the end as “birth pangs”. When a woman is with child and the “water breaks” the delivery of the baby comes rapidly. I believe this flood at the end of “it” is the breaking of the water and the delivery of the Church.

God has an established pattern of delivering through water; Noah, Moses, and Joshua. Jesus walked on water and the wind and the waves obey Him. It makes perfect sense that He will deliver His Church through the water of the flood at the end of “it”.

So when you see the events of the 6th Seal occurring do not lose faith! Look up! For your redemption draws near!

Do not take my word, or anyone else’s about this. Study these things in God’s word for yourself to see if it is so.

Tribulation: Temple or Tabernacle Tent, Part 3

Posted in Prophecy, Temple with tags , , , , , , , , on May 26, 2016 by paulthepoke

The answer to the question…Is a “temple” necessary for the tribulation? Would a tent of meeting structure or tabernacle work? The antichrist is going to defile something.

Daniel 11:31 Forces from him will arise, desecrate the sanctuary fortress, and do away with the regular sacrifice. And they will set up the abomination of desolation.

The focus of this post is the Hebrew word for sanctuary.

The Hebrew word for “sanctuary” is miqdash: sacred place, sanctuary, holy place; of the temple or of the tabernacle. Strong’s Concordance.

This term miqdash allows for either a tabernacle/tent or temple in the end times scenario.

The Hebrew word for “fortress” is ma`owz: place or means of safety, protection, refuge, stronghold, fastness, or harbor. Figuratively it is a refuge of God or human protection.

A physical, structural “ma`owz” type fortress is possible. This could be a temple campus consistent with the structure during the time of Jesus’ first coming. Figuratively, God is a refuge. His ma`owz or provision and strength could allow for a tabernacle/tent structure in an end times scenario.

Revelation 11:1-2 Then there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, “Get up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months.

The Temple in Revelation 11 is during the Tribulation. In both cases in verses 1-2, naos is used. The specific term naos is referring to the Holy Place, those who worship in it. “Those” is plural. If it were singular, the naos would be the Holy of Holies for the High Priest.

2 Thessalonians 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

The Greek term for temple is naos.

Both a tabernacle/tent-like structure and a stone temple structure are possible in the tribulation scenario. Personally, I would lean towards a temple of stone and mortar complete with all the furnishings. The Temple Institute has the materials ready to go for stone structure. The locals are not talking about raising a tent. Political pressure is building for a Temple complex.

Do your own homework. Make your own decision.

Scripture tells us the antichrist will defile the inner sanctuary or the holy place. The issue is the antichrist defiles the most sacred area. He is going to violate Jewish Law. He is not a priest let alone a High Priest. He has a side kick, the false prophet for religious duties. The antichrist is a political dictator. The area impacted…naos in the New Testament, miqdash ma`owz in the Old Testament.

Big mistake…

Tribulation: Temple or Tabernacle Tent, Part 2

Is a “temple” necessary for the tribulation? Would a tent of meeting structure or tabernacle work? After all, the antichrist needs something to defile.

2 Thessalonians 2:4 …who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

Daniel 11:31 Forces from him will arise, desecrate the sanctuary fortress, and do away with the regular sacrifice. And they will set up the abomination of desolation.

See also Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15-16, Mark 13:14.

There are two Greek words in the New Testament used for the term “temple”. The meanings of the two terms are distinct and different from each other. The two Greek words are hieron and naos.

The focus of this post is the Greek term naos.

Naos: Used of the temple at Jerusalem, but only of the sacred edifice or sanctuary itself; consisting of the Holy place and the Holy of Holies (in classical Greek it is used of the sanctuary or cell of the temple). Where the image of gold (Ark of the Covenant) was placed which is distinguished from the whole enclosure. Strong’s Concordance

ark of covenant

Naos designates the sacred edifice consisting of two parts. The first is the sanctuary or Holy Place. Only priests were allowed to enter this area. The second is Holy of Holies or the most holy place. Only the High Priest was allowed to enter on the Day of Atonement.

http://classic.net.bible.org/strong.php?id=2411

Naos: a shrine or sanctuary. Naos among the Jews was the sanctuary in the Temple or hieron.

Examples of a priest entering the temple (naos in the Greek) are Luke 1:9, 21-22according to the custom of the priestly office, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense. The people were waiting for Zacharias, and were wondering at his delay in the temple. But when he came out, he was unable to speak to them; and they realized that he had seen a vision in the temple; and he kept making signs to them, and remained mute. Zacharias was the high priest. This would be in accordance with the Law.

Jesus did not enter the temple or naos. His teaching was in the court of the temple or hieron. It would have been illegal for Jesus to enter the naos. If He would have, He would have been a sinner. Jesus is of the line of Judah. Hebrews 7:14 For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, a tribe with reference to which Moses spoke nothing concerning priests.

The Greek word naos is used in two other contexts in the New Testament. One is for the Heavenly Temple. The second is for our physical body.

Revelation 11:19a And the temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple…

1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?

Tribulation: Temple or Tabernacle Tent

There are two Greek words in the New Testament used for the term “temple”. The meanings of the two terms are distinct and different from each other. The two Greek words are hieron and naos.

The focus of this post is the Greek term hieron.

Hieron: A sacred place, temple. Strong’s Concordance

The temple of Jerusalem consisted of the whole of the sacred enclosure, embracing the entire aggregate of buildings, balconies, porticos, courts (that is that of the men of Israel, that of the women, and that of the priests), belonging to the temple. This would be the term hieron.

The courts are the location for the teaching of Jesus and the apostles. All people had access to the court where Jesus taught. John 7:14 But when it was now the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and began to teach.

Luke 21:38 And all the people would get up early in the morning to come to Him in the temple to listen to Him.

This is where confrontations with adversaries occurred “in the temple”. Matthew 4:5 Then the devil took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple…

John 8:59 Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple.

The hieron is where Jesus drove the buyers and sellers and the money changers out of the temple.    Mark 11:15 Then they came to Jerusalem. And He entered the temple and began to drive out those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves…

It is also the location of the court of the women or the middle court. Luke 21:1-2 And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury. And He saw a poor widow putting in two small copper coins.

Hieron is used as a noun: a sacred place, a temple; signifying the entire building with its precincts, or some part thereof, as distinct from the naos: the inner sanctuary. Hieron is never used figuratively.

The term hieron is the primary context of Jesus and the apostles. The antichrist is not observed in the context of the term hieron.

Trend Update: Temple Mount, Passover 2016

Posted in Prophecy, Spring Feasts, Temple, Trend Update with tags , , , , , , , , on May 1, 2016 by paulthepoke

The Bible details many temples across the span of time. The first was the Tabernacle or the Tent of Meeting as the Hebrew people wandered through the desert after their exodus from Egypt. Next was Solomon’s Temple. During the time of Jesus, Herod’s temple was in existence. Herod’s Temple was destroyed in 70 AD. It has been close to 2,000 years since the Jewish people have worshipped at their Temple in Jerusalem. The Bible speaks of a Temple during the Tribulation. Jesus will have a Millennial Temple during His reign. The book of Revelation and the prophet Isaiah speak of a Heavenly Temple and the throne room of God.

Matthew 24:15-16 “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” –Jesus

See also Mark 13:14.

2 Thessalonians 2:4 …who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

Revelation 11:1-2 Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff, and I was told, “Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those who worship there, but do not measure the outer courtyard, for it has been turned over to the nations. They will trample the holy city for 42 months.

The Spring Passover of 2016 has come to an end. During the holiday approximately 850 Jews went up and on the Temple Mount during the week. Two Jewish men even bowed to the ground and began to worship. This was met with immediate resistance. It is illegal for Jews to worship on the Temple Mount per agreement and Muslim law. Public opinion and perception are changing. Jewish people are wanting to go and pray on the Temple Mount. Some are being more aggressive and attempting marriages on the mount. Some are suggesting that animal sacrifices be carried out on the Temple Mount.

On the Mount of Olives east of the Temple Mount on Monday, April 25, 2016, a Passover sacrifice ceremony was held. Over 400 people attended the event. Multiple public figures and officials stated hope for the day the Dome of the Rock and al Aksa Mosque would be removed from the Temple Mount. They believe the time is now to raze the area and purify the land.

Public pressure is mounting to rebuild a third temple…

Trend Update, Revived Roman Empire, May 2014

Posted in Prophecy with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 28, 2014 by paulthepoke

Memorial Day weekend proved to be an interesting time in the Holy Land. The Pope, Francis, visited the Middle East. There are many who think the Pope will be the Anti-Christ. The Roman Empire is being revived, so they say. Many have identified the Pope as the Anti-Christ. I would also encourage everyone to remember the Roman Empire had an eastern leg which included modern day Turkey, Iraq, and Syria.

The Pope had an interesting trip. He called for interfaith toleration and unity between the Muslims and the Jewish people. He visited the Muslim Dome on the Temple Mount and the Jewish Western Wall. He endorsed dividing the land and acknowledging a Palestinian state. With all due to respect to the pontiff, I would encourage him to read the Book of Joel. God says, “Do not divide My land.” This is not a good idea and not in accordance with God’s will.

The Pope has requested a peace meeting or summit next month (June 2014) at the Vatican between the Muslims and the Jews. I expect the Pope or somebody to invoke Father Abraham as a bridge to peace at some point in the future.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-8 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming…

Scripture tells us the Anti-Christ will NOT be revealed until the resurrection of the dead believers in Christ and the living believers in Christ are raptured into the clouds to meet Jesus. There is a lot of debate about the word “apostasy”. It is the word apostasia in the Greek. The word is transliterated. It can mean the following in the original Greek: a falling away, defection, or apostasy. The word is used one other time in the New Testament.

The key to the passage is noted later in these verses with the restrainer. Many take this “restrainer” to be the Holy Spirit who is indwelled in Christians. The restrainer will be removed when Christians are snatched into the clouds at the rapture by Jesus. Then, the Anti-Christ will be revealed and present himself to the world.

This passage also notes there will be a Jewish Temple. The Anti-Christ will present himself as being God in the temple. Currently, there is no Jewish Temple. But if we wake up one morning and there has been an agreement to rebuild the Temple…

Isaiah 11:3b-4 Jesus, the Judge

Posted in Isaiah, Prophecy with tags , , , , , , , on January 19, 2014 by paulthepoke

Isaiah 11:3b-4 And He will not judge by what His eyes see, nor make a decision by what His ears hear; but with righteousness He will judge the poor, and decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; and He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.

The He is Jesus. He will not rely on His senses, hearing and vision, to make determinations. Righteousness will be the determining factor. The Hebrew word for righteousness is “tsedeq”. It means what is just and right (Strong’s Concordance). It is fair and honest. It cannot be bought or bribed. It is equitable and has integrity. It does not care how much money somebody has.

…and with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked… In the Hebrew, the word for slay is muwth. It means to die, kill, or have one executed (Strong’s Concordance).

2 Thessalonians 2:8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming…

The lawless one is the Antichrist. In the Greek, the word for slay is anaireo. It means to take up, to lift up (from the ground), to take up for myself as mine, to take away, abolish, to put out of the way, or kill slay a man (definitions per Strong’s Concordance).

With this definition, the understanding would be Jesus is going to take the Antichrist as a possession and escort him to the Lake of Fire. Revelation 19:20-21 And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

The Father is consistent with the expectation and intent of His Son throughout Scripture. Wickedness does not pay.

Psalm 2:9 “You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.”
