Can doYour thoughts set the tone for your day. Positive thoughts lead to a happier day. Each positive day makes it easier to have happy days. Your thoughts turn into words which turn into actions. This all affects those around you. Make sure you’re affecting them in a positive way.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Proverbs 17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Have a positive week my friends!!!

The Rising US Dollar, Michael Douville

1 Samuel 2:7 The LORD makes poor and rich; He brings low, He also exalts.

Proverbs 3:13-16 How blessed is the man who finds wisdom and the man who gains understanding. For her profit is better than the profit of silver and her gain better than fine gold. She is more precious than jewels; and nothing you desire compares with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.

Michael

The US enjoys the Global Reserve Currency status. Virtually all of the major business transactions throughout the world are priced in Dollars. Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds, Insurance Funds, Corporate funds need to “Park” billions and billions of transactional cash! The ONLY currency liquid and vast enough is the US Dollar! Not Lire, Not Yuan, Not Euro, not the Yen, only the US Dollar. It is stable, safe, liquid and accepted around the World. International pricing expresses the transactional cost in US Dollars of oil, copper, grain, lead, tallow, butter, milk,  beef, etc. along with virtually all International agreements. The dollar does fluctuate, but pegging to the US Dollar standardizes Global transactions.

A weak US Dollar is good for the Global Economic community. The US Dollar was 102.21  October 1, 2016, just prior to the Presidential Elections. The World experienced “A cyclic upturn in a structural downturn” exactly as ECRI (Economic Cycle Research Institute) forecasted.  The Dollar then declined to 88.25 in February 2018; which may have been a cyclic bottom.  A weaker dollar is good for Emerging Market Economies. Raw Material sales translate into more local currency which then can buy more local and regional  goods and services. Local inflation is reduced.  During the past decade, Sovereigns around the World have gorged on cheap loans priced well below 1%, some even negative. With a declining US Dollar, not only are the loans Historically cheap, a 20% decline in currency exchange equates to repaying only $80 million of the $100 million borrowed plus receiving a higher price for exports usually oil, copper, aluminum, etc.

Like all things, the US Dollar cycles. It does not remain cheap forever. Timing becomes important. The US Dollar has risen and risen very fast from a possible low of 88 just a few months ago to a recent high of 96. This cycle of peaks and valleys is not a new phenomena; this cycle repeats historically. What is new is the record DEBT pervasive throughout the World. Debtors have enjoyed the discount of a declining US Dollar; that is now gone. Interest rates at or near zero are gone in the US and scheduled to be gone soon everywhere else. Obscene amounts of DEBT have propelled the good fortunes of virtually everyone from Credit Cards and HELOCs for citizens to massive Public and Sovereign debt in EVERY Village, Hamlet, Town, City, Municipality, County, State and Nation on the face of the PLANET!!

A strong Dollar will reduce the value of exports thereby slowing the economy in exporting Nations. A negative spiral’s outcome is a slowing of all global economies. This then results  in declining demand that ripples throughout the World. That is bad enough; add in rapidly rising rates and there lies a recipe for Catastrophe! The obscene debt is rarely paid off, rarely even reduced. The debt is rolled over or refinanced. A rise to only 2% equates to multiples of 10 to 20 times the debt service. There is going to be  a very rude awakening very soon!

Debt will default and these defaults will accelerate throughout the world pressuring rates even higher as nonpayment risk pressures returns. Bonds and Bond Funds will be at HUGE RISK. All manners of Debt will be affected. Rates will rise and rise quicker than anyone anticipates. Get out of Debt! Payoff Credit Cards, Helocs, anything that floats with an Index. Refinance into fixed rate LONG TERM debt.  Raise cash!  The dollar cycle peak is forecast to reach 103.8 as a typical permutation in a typical cycle.  This may not be TYPICAL! Turmoil could drive the US Dollar to 120 causing massive disruptions!  For those aware, for those prepared, Generational Wealth can be achieved when the cycle again turns down……

Collateral Damage

Posted in Christine "Clarity" McDonald, Culture with tags , , , , , , , on July 6, 2018 by paulthepoke

Christine is appointed by the Missouri Attorney General for the Trafficking Task Force.

“For every woman and girl violently attacked, we reduce our humanity. For every woman forced into unprotected sex because men demand this, we destroy dignity and pride. Every woman who has to sell her life for sex we condemn to a lifetime in prison. For every moment we remain silent, we conspire against our women. For every woman infected by HIV, we destroy a generation.” – Nelson Mandela

Collateral damage is what we call the loss, injury or victims incurred by an action or event who were never intended to be involved. Many times, when we venture out in a helping capacity, we have our sights squarely focused on the population we serve. Yet oftentimes, those individuals we serve touch the lives of many we may never encounter.

Compassion and love at their best grow and extend indefinitely. The things we do out of love for others can have a massive ripple effect across time and space. Likewise, the things we don’t do can carry greater, far-reaching ramifications. What if one simple, yet sometimes controversial, moment of service could save a life? Conversely, what if a misapplied moral objection costs a life?

When we consider human trafficking, exploitation, and prostitution, we tend to recognize the purchaser/exploiter as well as the person being used. However, there is another population that is inadvertently affected yet rarely lands on our radar. Sometimes our narrow view of the impact and our tightly-clung-to moral objections have unintended consequences.

human trafficking

When we think of serving and how we serve, the most important thing we can do is put on the love of Christ and remember how much He loves and would give all for just one person. We have to ask ourselves, is making a moral statement that will inevitably be lost more important than the individual?

Jesus was well known in His day for spending His time with those viewed as the biggest “sinners.” When the religious leaders of the day verbally lashed against Him for this, He told a parable about a shepherd who had one hundred beloved sheep and one ran away. In the parable, the shepherd left the 99 to go after the one. The Son of God did not withhold His presence from the “sinners” to make a moral statement. Instead, He left us all with a clear example to follow. He made it crystal clear that every one of those “sinners” was invaluable to Him.

Even while knowing His days were limited, Jesus didn’t spend His time with His family and loved ones. Instead He chose to spend time among the untouchables of His day. And though He – the perfect, Holy, God of the universe – had many moral objections to their actions, He didn’t let those moral objections become the focus or stand in the way of an opportunity to touch their hearts.

Trend Update: Blood Red Rain, Norilsk, Russia, July 2018

Posted in Revelation, Trend Update with tags , , on July 5, 2018 by paulthepoke

Revelation 16:4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of waters; and they became blood.

See video link below for geography and additional analysis.

July 2018: Red rain is falling from the sky in Norilsk, Russia. This is the city’s second blood red water event in the last couple of years.

Video below compliments of Sputnik News.

Norilsk, Russia is home to the Nadezhda Metallurgical Factory. The factory is run by Norilsk Nickel. This is the world’s largest producer of nickel and palladium.

Relax, local officials indicated this event is not reason for concern or health risk. Officials from the metallurgical plant indicated the event was caused by dust accumulated on the roof of a plant shop. This is not an incident of pollution. The rain washed the dust off the plant and caused the red rain… allegedly.

Norilsk, Russia has made Time Magazine’s most polluted places in the world. The following is from Time.

Norilsk was founded in 1935 as a Siberian slave labor camp, and life there has pretty much gone downhill since. Home to the world’s largest heavy metal smelting complex, more than 4 million tons of cadmium, copper, lead, nickel, arsenic, selenium and zinc are released into the air every year. Air samples exceed the maximum allowance for both copper and nickel, and mortality from respiratory diseases is much higher than in Russia as a whole. “Within 30 miles (48 km) of the nickel smelter there’s not a single living tree,” says Fuller. “It’s just a wasteland.” –Bryan Walsh, Time Magazine.

With 3 blood red water events, Russia has taken a commanding lead against the rest of the world. The closest competitors only have one event held by several other countries.

Everybody relax. We are not in the tribulation. This is just a little red rain in a remote Siberian city.

If You Can… Thoughts from an American Soldier

Posted in American soldier with tags , , on July 4, 2018 by paulthepoke

Luke 12:4 I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. -Jesus

If you can… save a place within your heart for the tired souls of war and conflict.

If you can… take one last backward glance at the places they can no longer go.

If you can… remember what they have taught you. Take their knowledge and wisdom with you. Their deaths were not in vain. One day we all look back and realize what they sacrificed.

If you can… take a moment to embrace in your heart all those gentle heroes that were left behind on the battlefields fighting for their country.

If you can… let them know that you have always loved them even though you may not have. Forever save a place in your hearts for them.

A young soldier once remarked, “We did not go because we are soldiers. We went because we are AMERICANS.”

Love Your Enemy, Featuring Paul Beverly

We have sadly become a selfish society. We only care about ourselves & certain others. We have those that bash our President because he wants to get along with Russia & North Korea. God didn’t say to hate your enemies, he said to love them. He also said to love your neighbors as yourself. Well, your neighbors are not just like you. They are black, white, brown, red, gay, straight, tall, short, big, small, or whatever. Jesus didn’t turn anyone away because they were different. He always taught & healed in love. God didn’t say we had to agree with or do what others do, only to love them. I’ve seen enough hate to last a lifetime, let’s love instead. Don’t bash what you dislike, but do praise what you love.

Mark 12:31 The second is this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself, there is no other commandment greater than these.”

Luke 6:27 “But I say to you that hear, love your enemies. Do good to those that hate you.”

Have a loving week my friends!!!
