Habakkuk 1:5 Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told. -LORD God
The Day of Atonement is viewed as the holiest day of Judaism. The day is a Sabbath of rest. Yom Kippur is the only appointment a fast is required. The appointment begins at sun down. It is the last day of the 40 day period of Teshuvah. See Leviticus 16 for details of Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement.
1 Thessalonians 5:13 While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
“We are at the cusp of a historic peace between Israel 🇮🇱 and Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦… between Jerusalem and Mecca… between the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael.” – @IsraeliPM#MBSpic.twitter.com/oxpkMZacom

The conflict, which had been simmering for more than 30 years, ended in two days with #Azerbaijan's victory and restoration of control over its internationally recognised territory.
The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry said an agreement had been reached in #Karabakh:
On This Week in Prophecy… It is the month of Elul. Blow the shofar! Yehuda Glick is blowing his shofar on the Mount of Olives. He was arrested for a recording of a shofar blast on the Temple Mount.
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
FX parent company Disney has released a new cartoon, Little Demon. Satan’s Teen Daughter is the antichrist. The “reluctant” mother is a practicing witch. They are just trying to live a normal life.
“Don’t let other people’s moral laws make you think what you did was wrong,” Satan said sweetly. “Together, you and I can create a future without rules, call your own shots, live the life you wanna live.”
Hell is not real. Satan comes from a place the cool kids like, the “metaphysical realm”.
The you heroine antichrist goes to a woke school. “We’re not racist anymore!”
Satan is played by Danny DeVito. “I think you’re gonna find that in the show Satan is really a good guy. The guy was deprived of his spawn— who is a girl— but of course, I thought it was gonna be a boy. But the future is female.”
Aubrey Plaza plays the antichrist. “I love that we are normalizing paganism. Laura is a pagan. She’s a witch. She’s jacked.”
United States railway workers are threatening to strike? How would this affect us? Supply chain disruptions across the economy could cause up to $2 billion per day. Inflation would likely increase and inflict more pain to an already stressed consumer. Energy, food, transportation, and manufacturing would take direct hits.
Armenia and Azerbaijan are fighting again. Who supports who is mind-bending and confusing.
There are religious implications. Azerbaijan is viewed as a secular country by the Muslim world. Nearly a quarter of the population identifies itself as Muslim. Of that group, Azerbaijan is mostly a Shia Muslim country.
Armenia is a predominantly Christian nation. As of 2011, 97% of the country identified as Christian and members of the Armenian Apostolic Church (Wikipedia).
The conflict has nations quickly aligning with one of the two nations.
Countries supporting Azerbaijan include: Turkey, Pakistan, and Israel.
Countries supporting Armenia include: Russia, India, and Iran.
The Ezekiel 38-39 prophecy continues to align with modern day headlines. Russia makes a big move in the natural gas markets by inking a deal with Iran in the Chalous Gas Fields of the Caspian Sea. Experts think this deal allows Russia to potentially control the European Gas Market. How will this affect global prices?
Russia launched a missile into space and destroyed one of their satellites. Why? Because they can…
Russian President Putin positioned himself as a broker with recent skirmishes between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The Turkish Lira continues to plummet against the US Dollar. Inflation is hitting Turkey hard over the last year. Turkey is starved for cash and needs revenue in a hurry. Turkey vows to start drilling for natural gas in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
Sudan’s government remains in chaos. Former Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok has been released from house arrest and is likely to be reinstated as Prime Minister. Eventually Sudan will turn to Russia according to Ezekiel 38-39 and join in the coalition of countries against Israel. Remember, Sudan signed the Abraham Peace Accords with Israel during the Trump Administration.
The volcanic eruption on the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands continues on for over 2 months. Earthquake activity is increasing in regards to intensity and the quakes are occurring at a deeper depth. Lava continues to flow and destroy property. Landslides are now taking place on the island. Tsunami warnings are being discussed.
All of this and more on This Week in Prophecy. Click on the YouTube link below for analysis and commentary on the events above.
Is Oman looking to join the Abraham Accords with Israel? Jared Kushner is back in the Middle East. The Biden Administration agrees with the idea of expanding peace in the Middle East.
China is looking to “peacefully” unify Taiwan with the motherland. Revelation 9 says there is ultimately nothing peaceful about their means and motives. What is the response from the west to China and their saber rattling?
Military tension continues to build in the Caucuses. Ezekiel 38 and 39 says this region will unite under leadership from modern day Russia. Politics makes strange bed fellows and the relationships in this region prove it. Strange days indeed with Christians, Atheists, and Shia uniting on one side and Sunnis plus Jews on the other.
Signs of hyperinflation are increasing across the globe. Utilities are increasing in price around the Middle East, western Europe, and China. The price of natural gas and electricity is soaring. Lebanon is out of diesel at times to run its electrical grid.
Will the US Treasury mint a $1 trillion coin to avert default? It’s legal!!! Another sign of the times that could lead to more inflation. Don’t worry, 1 to 3.5 trillion dollars worth of budget will be passed one way or another.
136 countries have agreed to a corporate global tax of 15% on large multinational companies. 90% of global gross domestic production is on board. They must pay their fair share!!! Just another sign of a one world economic system taking shape.
Nagorno-Karabakh Region, September 27, 2020: Military conflict has broken out between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the weekend. The situation appears to be escalating quickly. Both countries have declared martial law. Both sides are leaking information about war declarations.
Armenia has called for troop mobilization. Armenia is claiming they are responding to the Azerbaijan initiation.

Civilian and military casualties are being reported on both sides. Military equipment, munitions, and air force equipment are being destroyed on both sides.
“Dear compatriots: Now by the decision of the government, a military situation and a general military gathering is announced in the Republic of Armenia. The decision will take effect from the moment of publication. I urge the staff attached to the troops to present their territorial military commissions. For the sake of the homeland, for the sake of victory.”

Reports indicate Azerbaijan is shutting down social media. Tweets are showing truck loads of Syrian and Muslim mercenaries headed to the region. On Twitter, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan is making phone calls with Turkey, Russia, and the European Union. There are lots of pictures with people in meeting. Content is not being released.

Countries supporting Armenia include: Russia, India
Global economic considerations include pipelines of oil and natural gas that flow through the region. Turkey’s Lira and the Russian Ruble are in free fall and being devalued to historical levels relative to the US dollar. Cost of basic goods are exploding across the region due to inflation. Both countries are feeling the pain of United States economic sanctions.
World leaders are calling for peace and an end to hostilities…
Ezekiel 38:1-3 The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him and say, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.
Ezekiel 38:6 Gomer and all his hordes; Beth-Togarmah from the uttermost parts of the north with all his hordes—many peoples are with you.
This marks the third regional conflict where Turkey and Russia are at odds; Syria, Libya, and now Nagorno-Karabakh.
It would appear Russia and Turkey will need to get on the same page politically. And maybe not…
The verses above from Ezekiel 38 read as follows. Gog, a political leader of Magog (modern day Russia) is the leader of Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, and Beth Togarmah (essentially modern day Turkey and the area above in dispute).
It would appear somebody is going to coalesce power before the invasion of Israel takes place. This group of people will be under the leadership of Gog.
IF (and I caution with a BIG IF) this is a pivotal event that brings this about, it seems reasonable Russia is about to assert its authority whether it be military or political might.
Recent history teaches not to be dogmatic in certainty about prophecy being fulfilled. There have been and will be many twists and turns. Be watchful. Be alert. Scripture tells us how it ends but does not always tell us how we get there…
Ezekiel 38:1-3 The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him and say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.
The Bible and ancient historians point to the fact the land of Magog is modern day Russia. See attached post.
Meshech means “drawing out, drawn out by force”; a people on the borders of Colchis (the land area east of the Black Sea). Armenia is effectively modern day eastern Turkey. Today (March 2016), the region of Meshech is modern day Turkey, Armenia, Russia, and Georgia.
Modern day Armenia and Russia continue to build their political and military alliance. The two countries have signed an air force defense agreement. Russia is using Armenia as a potential staging area. One base is an army base. A second base is an air base. Both bases are stationed close to the Turkey border.
Armenia has purchased over $1 billion in arms from Russia. A list of weapons includes: multiple-launch rocket systems, anti-tank missiles, handheld antiaircraft missiles, radar-jamming systems, armored personnel carriers, sniper rifles, tank upgrades, fighter planes, helicopters, and drones.
The information above comes from the two sources noted below. The two sources are hardly considered to be hawkish. They are the left leaning, liberal-biased Washington Post and Huffington Post.
At some point in the future, Russia and its coalition are prophesied to invade Israel (Ezekiel 38-39). If this is the time leading up to Russian invasion of Israel, I trust Russia and Turkey will kiss and make up. Maybe Russia invades Turkey and takes possession of part or all of their land. At any rate, the Bible says the invasion will come from these geographic areas.
Make no mistake. This is another domino in place. And the trend is intact and gaining strength.
