In this edition of The Watchmen… Operation Breaking Dawn was launched on August 5th against Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip. Islamic Jihad is an Iranian proxy. The leader of Islamic Jihad had visited Tehran within the week.

As of this post, over 600 rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israel.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has reported the Palestinian Islamic Jihad leadership group has been martyred.

Russia is bombing a Ukrainian nuclear planet with a barrage of missiles.

Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi, Russia. The result is five Turkish banks agreed to Russia’s Mir payments system. Russia and Turkey agreed to payment in rubles for natural gas. In return, Turkey will get billions of dollars for the construction of a nuclear power plant on the Mediterranean.

President Biden’s Middle East Trip… Czekmate

The bottom line readout of the Biden trip to Israel points to the division in the administration on Near East policy. Two diverging paths thrown together into a foreign policy salad was pointed out to me in Hebrew. I waited a while to see if the Israelis and conservative American Jews could come to one mind on what the ‘upshot’ was. I needed an online translation but here it is, and it is brilliantly succinct:

“The problematic developments after Biden’s visit: The United States seeks to integrate the Palestinians into the forums of the Abraham Accords as well as Jordan. In addition, a number of Arab countries are on the way to normalization with Iran, including the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Egypt.”

Czekmate interpretation — the region is prepared to go it alone in such confusion out of America.

This is a few days old but was mostly underplayed in the press. That is likely owed to the Biden trip to Israel and the respect for the US from the government in Jerusalem. I will not speak to the veracity of the site, other than to say some Czekmate friends seem to think that the folks behind do have a pretty good grip on what they report on.

For the reach of the Israeli security services, what they lack in breadth they make up for in precision. In other words, they do not have massive amounts of agents to be able to put against a large problem in their far abroad. Accordingly, what resources they do have do exhaustive homework on the back end of their intelligence apparatus. From that homework they focus on very narrow efforts pointed at key nodes and critical paths of the problem set.

This is acutely the case in a culturally less accessible, place far from home such as Iran. The internal security conditions of a place like Iran makes it harder still. Thus the ability to place agents who blend in, leaves fewer personnel to be able to draw from. Frequently, assets recruited while abroad (regime traitors) alongside allied agents compose any operation personnel in such a place as Iran.

Making such operations harder still is that the secrecy surrounding a nuclear program is forbidding. Further, in order to gain the most amount of value per penetration/operation requires an agent to have a rare set of expertise usually gained over years of deep study. Hence the need to have a robust analytic structure in Israel itself that informs the operations to be undertaken. You can bet that individuals with such expertise and education would remain under a sharp eye in a paranoid regime like Iran.

Ah, but that paranoia is warranted in view of the number casualties the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corp have been absorbing in recent months on their own soil. It has undermined the IRGC standing within the regime itself, and has doubtless exacerbated any acrimony between the Iranian armed forces and the IRGC. Such would have been the intent behind any effort were it a part of an intelligence operational effort.

In short, create such a blow to the key personalities of the Iranian power projecting security establishment (Missiles, drones and nukes) that disproportional resources have to be expended at home, thus slowing the entire maturation to a militarily viable nuclear weapon.

Up to this point, the Israeli emphasis has been to slow/stop that process, and it has been the central point of the nuclear negotiations bandied about on TV and in print so frequently. This cycle is so that in order to build a working “nuclear bomb” the radioactive material must be very highly refined and in large quantities to achieve a nuclear blast. This article lays down an indication that the Israelis are now compelled to reorient this apparatus away from attempting to disrupt the nuclear fuel generation cycle. They must now focus this apparatus to the next phase in an Iranian bomb, the capability of Iran to use one (as a viable weapon of war) as the new priority.

This is consistent with the news (reported here) surrounding recent deaths of Iranian personnel in their weapons research infrastructure. This is the new emphasis on their delicate and precise operations behind the enemy lines of the Iranian homeland. The so-called “Break-out” time (The time it takes to have enough nuclear material for a viable working bomb) being at zero, suggests that disrupting the nuclear enrichment cycle is an exhausted option for stymieing the Iranian bomb.

It is also a major step closer to a military strike.

In this edition of The Watchmen… Israel has a new Prime Minister and he is Yair Lapid. The former government and leadership under Naftali Bennett has collapsed. As of now, elections to form a new government in Israel are set for November 1, 2022. Speculation is running rampant on coalition formations. Politics do make for strange bed fellows. One situation has a conservative rabbi and an Arab looking to help form a government led by Benjamin Netanyahu. Expect more twists and turns.

Currently, Israel is suffering from a lack of leadership. Are we watching a trend that will result in the appointment of a really evil leader?

Hezbollah launched an attack from Lebanon to the Karish gas field in the Mediterranean Sea. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stepped in and destroyed three drones intended for the drilling rig. The international boundary remains a point of contention for Lebanon and segments of the international community.

Russia is watching and will ultimately intervene according the Prophet Ezekiel 38-39. President Vladimir Putin has stated he wants to control the flow of oil and gas from east to west into Europe. President Biden is making a trip to the Middle East this week. He looks to stop in Israel, Palestine (as he sees it), and Saudi Arabia. Biden will visit with Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed bin Salman. The Saudis feel betrayed by the Biden Administration. The Saudis have openly discussed the notion of oil payments in the Chinese Yuan. The ripple effects could be staggering. These are economic high stakes.

In a little over a week, Turkish President Recep Erdogan faced the lowest of lows and the highest of highs. First, Erdogan had an abysmal meeting with the Saudi’s Mohammed bin Salman, then Turkey agreed to accept Finland and Sweden into NATO. Erdogan reached an agreement. His vote of acceptance was bought at the price of American F16’s and labeling the Kurds terrorists.

Food is under attack!

Russia continues with its invasion of Ukraine. Wheat fields are being set on fire. Mines are being placed in fields resulting in the destruction of farm equipment. Mines are being set in destroyed sea ports. Grain exportation to other parts of the region and world are severely hampered.

What started out as a farmer protest in the Netherlands is spreading. The Dutch are major food exporters across Europe from the north. Farmers across Europe are beginning to show their muscle. The rallying cry is a simple one. “No farmers, no food.”

Farmers are protesting “green energy” policies which are restricting. Government authorities state “targets introduced last month (are) to reduce harmful nitrogen compounds by 2030, (which) are necessary in emissions of nitrogen oxides from farm animal manure and from the use of ammonia in fertilizer.”

Government Authorities have responded by opening fire on farmers with guns. Tear gas has been released. Dogs have been unleashed. Fines have been levied.

Farmer protests have spread to Poland, Germany, and Italy.

A hallmark of the beginning of the tribulation is hyperinflation as noted in Revelation 6 which leads to global famine. Revelation 6 talks of a time when it will cost a day’s wage just to eat. Inflation is in the headlines. Food security continues to be a growing issue. We are trending and living in times as described by John the Revelator. We should pay attention.

Isaiah 17, The Burden of Damascus

In this episode of The Watchmen, it would appear Israel has upped the ante by targeting the Damascus International Airport. Significant damage has occurred to the runways of the airport which resulted in the closing of the airport to commercial and domestic traffic. Russia has voiced their displeasure towards Israel. The concern is the flow of military equipment from Iran to Lebanon and Hezbollah.

The European Commission is proposing a gas deal with Israel via Egypt. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is traveling to Israel this week to iron a potential gas deal. The goal is “to advance relations between the EU and Israel, especially cooperation in the area of energy. The president will also discuss with Israeli government representatives the global reaction to the food crisis and the situation in the Middle East.”

Meanwhile, the Israeli Navy is standing by drilling rigs as they travel to the Karish gas field in the Mediterranean Sea. Israel looks to continue to expand their production of natural gas.

Lawlessness continues to abound. Mexican President López Obrador attempted to blackmail President Biden at the Summit of the Americas. To President Biden’s credit, “We do not believe that dictators should be invited.” However, The International Organization for Migration tells the United States more immigration is coming and deal with it. Meanwhile, governors from Texas and Florida are bickering on how to manage the influx of illegal people coming to the United States. All the while, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega has allowed Russian troops into the country for training, law enforcement and emergency response. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was not invited to Los Angeles for the summit, so Maduro went Tehran to visit President Ebrahim Raisi at the Sa’adabad Palace. Backroom deals galore…

Iran is inching closer to a nuclear bomb.

Hyperinflated food prices are noted at the onset of the Tribulation. So we continue to watch trends of food inflation. Russian President Vladimir Putin and “Nazis” and others continue to weaponize food by setting grain fields on fire, laying mines in fields and sea ports, and destroying stockpiles of grains in Ukraine.

The list continues to grow in the United States. Ninety-five (95) food processing plants have gone up in flames since President Biden has taken office. The list continues to expand and increase in frequency. This essentially has become a war on poultry. Chickens and turkey plants appear to be the main target with millions upon millions of birds destroyed. The result is a reasonably priced source of protein in eggs and birds are impacted.

Chinese owned Smithfield Farms has announced they are closing business in California due to bureaucratic red tape. Yet another strain on the food supply.

This is Nebuchadnezzar’s statue from the prophet Daniel. The focus is the last global empire. This has yet to emerge on the scene. The point is to file this information away. It is interesting only because there are 10 nations involved. The Deterring Enemy Forces and Enabling National Defenses (DEFEND) Act has bipartisan support in the House and Senate in the United States. The goal is to create an integrated missile and air defense infrastructure to defend against the Iranians. The bill would allow the US Defense Department to support Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman. Are we saying this confederation of nations is the group of 10 nations? NO! Just watching with interest.

In this episode of The Watchmen, The Rolling Stone fulfills Peter’s prophetic words. The Rolling Stone offers their take on Evangelical Christians and current affairs as related to the second coming of Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 3:4 They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.”

The Tigris River and the Mosul Dam are back in the news. Water resources are dwindling in Iraq. Farmers are feeling the affects of drought in the region. Turkey has a system of dams impacting the Tigris River valley. Nahum says ancient Nineveh and the river valley eventually get flushed and flooded.

Nahum 1:8 But with an overwhelming flood He will make an end of Nineveh and pursue His enemies into darkness.

Nahum 2:6-8 The river gates are thrown open and the palace collapses. It is decreed that the city be exiled and carried away; her maidservants moan like doves, and beat upon their breasts. Nineveh has been like a pool of water throughout her days, but now it is draining away. “Stop! Stop!” they cry, but no one turns back.

Saudi Arabia and Israel are talking economic agreement regarding a variety of topics The futuristic city of Neom is a consideration. This is a $500 billion investment!!!

Russia is allegedly targeting Ukraine grain stock piles. Food resources continue to be targeted across the United States. Turkey is experiencing run away inflation of up to 75%. Supply chains continue to be disrupted. The cost of food is going up around the planet. Revelation 6 talks of food hyperinflation and a day’s wage to feed a family.

Things are not exactly rosy inside of Iran. Citizens continue to protest against the government.

China is encroaching on Taiwan. Are we getting closer to another geo political event?

Traditional marriage and hate speech… Western society and culture continue to move further away from Judeo Christian values. Does God really have standards for “traditional” marriage? What does God say about same sex marriage and relationships? See Romans 1. Talk with God about it, He is the messenger.

The Watchmen: Biden & Temple Mount, New President for UAE, Food Security Expansion, Russia & Ukraine, Finland Applies to NATO, Energy & Rubles, China Active in Pacific

In this episode of The Watchmen, President Biden reaches out to Jordanian King Abdullah and discussed Temple Mount Security. A reminder, never a good idea to divide God’s land or capital.

The United Arab Emirates has a new president. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan was elected president by a federal supreme council. He replaces his half brother, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed.

Food security continues to play an increasing role in our world. India will no longer export wheat. India is the world’s second largest producer. Three (Russia, Ukraine, India) of the top 10 wheat producers in the world will no longer export wheat. This accounts for 40-50% of the planet’s grain trade. This is a very big deal!!!

Iranian citizens have taken to the streets to protest the exploding price of basic staples. Grains and cooking oils have gone up 300% over the last week. In response, the government cut off the internet briefly.

Diesel supply shortages are starting to be a concern on the east coast of the United States. All of these things point to higher food and fuel costs.

Ukraine’s President Zelensky has been invited to the Davos Economic Forum scheduled for later this week. Zelensky appears to have the support of the world’s economic elite. More weapons please…

Democrat House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer made the following admission this past week on the floor of the House of Representatives. “It is unfortunate that in a time of war, we spend all the time blaming our own president.” So we are fighting a proxy war with the Russians.

Finland announces its intent to join NATO. Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan is not so sure about this move and a states Finland and Sweden are hot beds of terrorism. Russia promptly cuts off electricity to Finland.

It would appear Europe is starting to understand Putin a little more clearly. European companies, not sovereign countries, are opening accounts with Gazprom Bank to pay for natural gas in rubles. Mind you, this does not violate any European sanctions against Russia. No conflict of interest, move along.

Revelation 9:16 The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them.

The People’s Republic of China is on the move in the Pacific. A Chinese aircraft carrier was spotted off the coast of Taiwan and Japan. A reconnaissance vessel was also spotted off the west coast of Australia. Plus, the Chinese are making end roads in the Solomon Islands. Australia responds with strong language to the Chinese.

In this episode of The Watchmen we look at Jordan wanting full control of the Temple Mount complex. Are we watching Jordan respond to regional pressure with regards to security of the Muslim religious sites? How does this relate to Ezekiel 38-39? Flags are flying on the Temple Mount during Ramadan. Who do these flags represent?

The United Arab Emirates are flying heavy transport planes in and out of Israel. It appears defense contracts are being fulfilled between the Abraham Accord countries. The concern is an increasingly hostile Iran with nuclear intentions.

President Recep Erdogan of Turkey travelled to Saudi Arabia this week for the first time in five years. Erdogan stated, “I see and believe that it is in our joint interest to boost our cooperation with Saudi Arabia in such areas as healthcare, energy, food security, agricultural technologies, defense industry and finance. It seems that we have significant potential particularly in renewable and green energy. We will hopefully discuss and thoroughly evaluate these issues.”

Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps allegedly tried to assassinate an Israeli diplomat in Turkey. Iran is reaching out via Hezbollah around the globe including the British Virgin Islands with drug deals.

Russia is cutting off the flow of natural gas to European countries of Poland and Bulgaria who refuse to pay in rubles. However, the Rublezone has manifested with Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary who are agreeable to pay for natural gas in rubles.

Allegedly, Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled for cancer surgery in the near future. Fellow KGB comrade Nikolai Patrushev is picked to assume authority while Putin is under treatment. Putin is suspected to be managing Parkinson’s Disease and symptoms related to the progressive neurological disorder. Check out video and professional analysis of Putin’s physical condition.

Tension continues to build between Russian and Israel. Ezekiel 38-39 tells us Russia will eventually turn on Israel. Russian President Vladimir Putin demands ownership of a Russian Orthodox Church in the Christian Quarter of Jerusalem.

In this episode of The Watchmen we look at the current situation on the ground in Ukraine. How is Russian troop morale? Anecdotal evidence suggests things are not all roses.

Is this morale foreshadowing into Ezekiel 38:21 I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Lord GOD. Every man’s sword will be against his brother.

Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan looks to host peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Turkey. Erdogan is looking to elevate himself on the world stage as a power broker.

As a hallmark of the end times scenario, deception is every where. In today’s world, we call it propaganda and spin. Everyone is trying to project a message regardless of the facts of the matter.

Ezekiel 38:5 Persia… Modern day Iran is keeping busy. The Iran Nuclear Deal negotiations continue. The Iranian proxies in Yemen, the Houthis, have launched an attack on the Saudi Arabian oil company Aramco. Iran marked the occasion by projecting pictures of Houthi leaders on the famed Azadi Tower in Tehran.

Israel is hosting the Negev Summit this week. Partners in the Abraham Accords and nations at peace with Israel are in attendance. US Secretary of State Blinken is at the meeting and touring the Middle East and North Africa.

The Abraham Accords Festival and Games kicks off this week as well. Soccer friendlies are the headliners.

Inflation continues to be an issue. Gas prices are going up in Israel. Germany is out of natural gas. Countries are lining up to take advantage of the situation.

Aggression continues to increase around the Middle East and Europe. The rest of the world stands by and watches. Ezekiel 38 speaks of a time when not one country will come to the defense of Israel. As it stands now, no one is coming to the defense of Ukraine. No one is coming to the defense of Saudi Arabia. The United States is stepping away from the Middle East…
