Russia has announced the BRICS countries are moving forward with a gold back currency. The big announcement is officially slated for next month, August 2023, in South Africa.

Jim Rickards has a $15,000 price target on an ounce of gold by 2025.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen recently made the flight to China. Her statement below was in China. Yellen downplays the role of a future gold backed currency. Yellen declared 90% of global transactions are in dollars and the dollar will continue to be the world’s reserve currency.

Pope Francis denies the physical existence of Hell.

God wants honesty when it comes to economic matters.

The last couple of weeks in financial markets and global economics has been rocky. In the last two business weeks 5 banks have crashed. The United States has witnessed two of its largest bank failures in history.

Moody’s Investor Service has downgraded the entire United States banking system to negative.

“We have changed to negative from stable our outlook on the US banking system to reflect the rapid deterioration in the operating environment following deposit runs at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), Silvergate Bank, and Signature Bank (SNY) and the failures of SVB and SNY.” -Moody’s

The banks in the United States includes: Silvergate Bank, Silicon Valley Bank, Signature Bank, and First Republic Bank. The mess has made its way across the Atlantic to Europe. Switzerland’s Credit Suisse required a bailout from the Swiss government.

The US Department of Treasury decided to insure all depositors in banks that expose a “systemic risk exception”, even those above the insured threshold of $250,000. The two banks who meet this “exception” include Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank. All depositors were “made whole”.

This “exception” appears to be on a case by case basis as decided by the boards of the FDIC, the Federal Reserve, President Biden, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen.

During hearings with the Senate, Oklahoma Senator James Lankford (R) pressed Secretary Yellen. This exchange was extraordinary.

Money is flying out of smaller banks and being deposited into Tier 1 Wall Street banks. These Tier 1 banks include JP Morgan, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Citigroup. And the rich get richer.

The Debt Limit deadline looms some time around April 2023. The United States has wracked up $31.4 trillion in debt (31,400,000,000,000). Secretary Yellen has already warned Congress that if the Debt Limit is not increased, it would be crushing to the banking system.

Buckle up! This is going to get rough!

Turkey and Iran have discovered something they both have in common. They both have declared war on “terrorists” as they see it, the Kurds.

Turkey wants to be an energy hub partnering with Moscow, and Iran is selling drones to Moscow. Economics ties Turkey and Iran to Moscow. The Dutch government is looking to purchase 3,000 farms and industrial polluters. Farmers are in the crosshairs for environmental violations. The crime, ammonia and nitrogen oxide emissions exceed EU law.

Iran’s Evin Prison mysteriously caught fire this past week. At least 8 were killed and scores were injured. Evin Prison is where political prisoners, foreign dissidents, and any one who disagrees with the government is held.

Iranian drones and soldiers are now reported in Ukraine assisting the Russians. Previously, it was a one way street with arms deals from Russia to Iran. Just another sign of the strengthening of the relationship between Russia and Iran.

Russia has focused recent attacks on infrastructure in Ukraine. The latest estimates are a third to one half of electricity is off-line in Ukraine. Significant blackouts are occurring throughout Ukraine. Russia is utilizing missiles and purchased Iranian drones to achieve the objective. Putin’s goal is simple. He looks to freeze out the Ukrainians during winter.

Putin has also instituted Martial Law in the four annexed regions of Ukraine. On This Week in Prophecy… It would appear Israel and Lebanon have reached a historic agreement in regards to maritime borders and the development of natural gas fields in the Mediterranean Sea. The agreement has not been signed on the dotted line. Details are beginning to leak out into news outlets.

Israel appears to have its security concerns addressed and met. The Karish gas field will likely remain under Israeli control.

Lebanon will get the economic benefit of the Qana gas field. Total Energy of France will help develop the gas field. Allegedly…

The Kerch Bridge connecting the Crimea Peninsula and the mainland of Russia was blown up over the weekend. Russian President Vladimir Putin was personally involved with the opening of the bridge a few years ago. The explosion of the bridge occurred on Putin’s birthday.

Russia has since responded with heavy missile attacks across Ukraine over the past two days. Utilities including electricity and water have been destroyed throughout Ukraine.

Grain container barges are backed up on the Mississippi River. Drought has resulted in lower water levels on the mighty river. The result is shipping costs are going through the roof.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization met about a week ago. This is the last time Chinese President Xi Xinping was seen in public.

There are currently 8 member states that make up the organization. Iran signed a Memorandum of Obligations to become a permanent member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. “Rest“… The word is “shamat” in the Hebrew. It is defined by Strong’s Concordance as: to release, let drop or loose or rest or fall.

The Jewish people also refer to this as “shemitah”. It literally means to release.

Deuteronomy 15:1-2 At the end of every seven years you shall grant a remission of debts. This is the manner of remission: every creditor shall release what he has loaned to his neighbor; he shall not exact it of his neighbor and his brother, because the LORD’S remission has been proclaimed.

“remission of debts…” In the original Hebrew text “of debts” is not present. “of debts” was added by the translators. Shemitah is the Hebrew word for remission. Shemitah as defined by Strong’s Concordance means: cancellation of debts, letting drop of exactions, (temporary) remitting, release (from debt).

Shemitah comes from the root word shamat.
