Teshuvah 5782/2022

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Teshuvah/Repent with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 21, 2022 by paulthepoke

The month of Elul initiates a 40 day period called Teshuvah. The point of the season is to prepare for the civil Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. This appointed feast day is also referred to as Yom Teruah by Jews. Christians may refer to the day as the Feast of Trumpets. The season of Teshuvah concludes on Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement.

Teshuvah is a time to turn toward God. People are called to turn away from their sin, repent, and change course. It is a time of inward reflection and sincere self-assessment. The goal is a change in lifestyle away from sin to obedience in God’s word. The 40 day period starts on Elul 1 and ends on Tishri 10, Yom Kippur.

Elul is the last month of the civic calendar in Judaism. Elul is the sixth month of God’s calendar. Jewish tradition points to the name of the month to be an acronym of “Ani l’dodi v’dodi li” a quote from Song of Songs 6:3 I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine…

In Aramaic, the vernacular of the Jewish people at the time that the month names were adopted, the word Elul means “search”. Per Strong’s Concordance, Elul means “nothingness” in the Hebrew. The month is mentioned one time in the Bible. Nehemiah 6:15 So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of the month Elul, in fifty-two days.

This year, 5782/2022, the start of Elul will begin at the sighting of the sliver of the new moon by two witnesses. It is estimated to be observed at sun set from possibly Saturday, August 27 to Monday, August 29.

Cultural customs per http://www.jewfaq.orghttp://www.myjewishlearning.com .

This year, 5782/2022, the season of Teshuvah is unique and exceptional.

The end of the month of Elul marks the end of a sabbatical or shemitah year. On a western Gregorian calendar, that is Sunday, September 25 to Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Remember, the new month, and in this case the new civil year, is decreed upon the confirmation of the new moon by two witnesses. Historically, God releases debt on the last day of the last year of a seven year cycle.

Deuteronomy 15:1-2 At the end of every seven years you shall grant a remission of debts. This is the manner of remission: every creditor shall release what he has loaned to his neighbor; he shall not exact it of his neighbor and his brother, because the LORD’S remission has been proclaimed.

Historically, this is not a good omen for economic markets. If history is any indicator, fasten your seat belts. The land completes its rest on approximately Sunday, September 25 to Tuesday, September 27, 2022 pending two witnesses confirming the new moon. God is going into action and debt will be released. Keep your eyes on the markets. Planet Earth is likely to get even more interesting. Like we do not have enough to be concerned about already.

Time will tell…

This Week In Prophecy: Jesus, Ezekiel 38-39, Inflation, Feasts Approaching, Oval Office Nap

This Week in Prophecy

https://valortube.com/groups/paul-lehr/

On This Week in Prophecy we go around the world and take a look at events that align with the signs of the times according to the prophets, apostles, and Jesus.

We start with Jesus and a coin discovered near Tel Aviv.

Ezekiel 38-39 continues to dominate the headlines. Russia and China look to work together in the name of peace for stability in Afghanistan and the region. Russia, Iran, and China look to a naval exercise possibly later this year in the Persian Gulf, for peaceful purposes of course against piracy. Vladimir Putin looks to build and expand Russian naval capability. The build towards Magog’s attempted invasion of Israel continues.

Federal Reserve Chairman Powell had his big speech this past week from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The result, more money, more money, more money!!! Hello more inflation!!! Mind you the Chairman’s models suggest that inflation is “transitory”. Revelation 6 calls for hyperinflation at the onset of the Tribulation. So we watch.

President Biden took a nap in the Oval Office with Israeli Prime Minister Bennett. The leader of the free world is figuratively and literally asleep at the wheel.

Lastly, is the shofar a vector for the spread of COVID19??? Jewish concerns and questions ahead of the Fall Feasts?

These questions and more are answered on This Week in Prophecy.

There Shall Be Seven Weeks: Re-establishing the Law

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Angels with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on January 24, 2021 by paulthepoke

Daniel 9:25 Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time.

The angel Gabriel indicated to Daniel the time frame before the coming of the Messiah or the “anointed one” shall be a total of 69 weeks. The time period is separated.

seven weeks or (7 X 7) + sixty-two weeks or (62 X 7) = 483 years.

483 years X 360 days = 173,880 days.

The focus is the initial seven weeks or 49 years.

The initial 49 years of the time period are the events described in the book of Nehemiah after the rebuilding of the wall in Jerusalem.

With the construction of Jerusalem and the wall completed, Nehemiah focused on the re-establishment of God’s Law.

Nehemiah 8:2 So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could understand what they heard, on the first day of the seventh month.

Notice the time point.

…on the first day of the seventh month. This would be the beginning of the Fall Feasts. The day is Yom Teruah or the Feast of Trumpets. Today, we also know it as Rosh Hashanah.

For more information on the Feast of Trumpets, see the links below.

According to Mosaic Law, Yom Teruah is a call for the people to assemble. Ezra read the Law to the assembled people in Jerusalem.

While reading the Law to the people of Jerusalem, Israel learned of Sukkot, Tabernacles, or the Feast of Booths. This is the third and last holiday of the Fall Feasts. This festival is a week-long festival from Tishri 15 to 21 on a Hebrew calendar.

Israel would follow the instructions for “The Feast” as directed by the Mosaic Law. Jews communicated throughout the Promised Land about the occasion. They gathered the required materials and built their booths. The people responded with participation and celebration.

This would mark the first time in Israel’s history, the Jewish people would celebrate Sukkot as God had communicated to Moses in the Law in the land of Israel.

Nehemiah 8:17 And all the assembly of those who had returned from the captivity made booths and lived in the booths, for from the days of Joshua the son of Nun to that day the people of Israel had not done so. And there was very great rejoicing

Israel renewed their commitment to God. They gathered as a nation in Jerusalem. The people listened to the Law as read by Ezra. And they kept the Fall Feasts.

Nehemiah 8:18 And day by day, from the first day to the last day, he read from the Book of the Law of God. They kept the feast seven days, and on the eighth day there was a solemn assembly, according to the rule.

God waited patiently on His chosen people. 1,000 years after Moses delivered God’s Law, Israel repented. They returned to God.

Egypt Into the Millennial Kingdom

Posted in #PaulthePoke, Egypt/Nile River, Prophecy with tags , , , , , , , , , on June 9, 2019 by paulthepoke

Zechariah 14:18 If the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the LORD smites the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.

God has a future plan for the nation Egypt. The country of Egypt will be into the Millennial Kingdom. The Feast of Booths is the only God appointed holiday gentile nations will be required to attend. The nations will be required to go before the Lord Jesus Christ during the Feast of Booths. There is a consequence for lack of participation, no rain.

This is the last of God’s appointed feasts or festivals. This holiday is known by many names. It is called the Feast of Tabernacles, Sukkot, the Feast of Booths, the Festival of Tents, or the Feast of the Harvest because it was after the harvest in the fall. Simply put, it was also called “the feast” or “the festival”.

This festival is a week-long festival from Tishri 15 to 21. When working in the fields during harvest, people lived in tents. The tents served as a reminder of the forty years of wandering in the desert after the Exodus from Egypt. The feast is a reminder to the Jewish people they lived in tents after the Exodus from Egypt. The holiday is a reminder of the provision and safety God showed Israel during their travels in the desert as noted in Deuteronomy 8. The feast is a thanksgiving for the harvest of grapes (Exodus 23:16). It is to be a joyous festival (Deuteronomy 16:14). Sabbatical rest without work is part of the holiday. (New Manners and Customs of Bible Times).

Leviticus 23:33-36 Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the LORD. On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work of any kind. For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the LORD; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work.’”

The ultimate expression of “the feast” after the Millennial Kingdom is with God and the New Jerusalem.

Revelation 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them…

And He is going to live and dwell with us and Egypt, forever…

September 23rd 2017: NOT the END, BEST BREAKDOWN (North Korea, America, Israel, Prophecy)…Featuring Trey Smith

Trey Smith breaks down September 23, 2017…

A shout of thanks to Trey Smith for the kind words and comments.

September 23rd 2017 (often called “Revelation 12 sign”) is NOT “the END” nor is it the “RAPTURE”. North Korea / Kim Jung Un in prophecy with Revelation 12. This video is likely the BEST FULL BREAKDOWN of what ALL the prophecy means (including North Korea, America, and Israel tied into the prophecy).

September 23rd 2017 is NOT the RAPTURE.

September 23rd 2017 is NOT the END.

North Korea and Kim Jung Un specifically mentioned within same tape of Kim Clement prophecy about the (or what is called) “Revelation 12 sign”. North Korea and Kim Jung Un are referenced as issues arising following what Kim Clement describes as a time when people are focused on a GREAT SIGN (like the Revelation 12 sign). Kim Clement also gives hopeful news in prophecy about the issues with North Korea and Kim Jung Un in his (Clement’s) prophecy.

Revelation 12: This video — from start to finish — is probably Trey Smith’s most powerful presentation on Signs in the Heavens, What those mean, and where we are prophetically in terms of “End Times”.

Revelation 12 Sign: A Kim Clement tape from 2009 has been discovered where Kim Clement goes over what appears to be the Revelation 12 Sign.

Revelation 12 Sign: What happens on September 23rd 2017?

Revelation 12 Sign: This video containing prophecy by Kim Clement, commentary by Trey Smith (on the Rapture and Revelation 12 sign) takes the position that the rapture does NOT occur on September 23rd 2017.

However, this video does take the position that Scottie Clarke did discover a sign (Great Sign, or Revelation 12 Sign) which is of Biblical and prophetic significance.

Prophecy by Kim Clement is shared in this video which appears to lend credibility to the “Revelation 12 sign”; but, predicts revivals and prosper for America while entering the “End Times” (a term which could be applied to a relatively vast time-period).

Revelation 12: The main message of this video is repentance. That America and Christians around the globe need to come back to the Lord (Jesus Christ) and repent for their nation. The video is a call to repentance.

God’s Fall Appointed Holidays: What Month Is It?

Posted in Fall Feasts, Prophecy with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on September 25, 2016 by paulthepoke

There are all kinds of calendars. Astronomy uses a Julian calendar. Western society uses a Gregorian calendar. China has their calendar. Lots of people, lots of calendars. Today, Israel operates on two calendars. One is religious and one is civil. Confusion reigns. When is the official new year?

If we are to understand God, we need to get on His schedule and how He defines time. God has one calendar. It was in the spring in Egypt. And God had a conversation with Moses and Aaron. Exodus 12:2 “This month shall be the beginning of months for you; it is to be the first month of the year to you…” God identified the new moon and the beginning. From this point, God went on to explain His Spring Appointments or holidays.

God’s Fall Appointments or holidays start in the seventh month on God’s calendar. The Fall Appointments celebrate the end of the harvest year. Specifically, the Feast of Tabernacles is a thanksgiving for the harvest of grapes (Exodus 23:16).

Leviticus 23:23 Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month on the first of the month…

Numbers 29:1 ‘Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month…

Leviticus 25:9 You shall then sound a ram’s horn abroad on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the day of atonement…

Leviticus 16:29…in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month…

Leviticus 23:33-34 Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the LORD.

Numbers 29:12 Then on the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation…

Yom Teruah or the Feast of Trumpets is recognized as the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. It is the beginning of the civil new year. Some Jewish thought has this day as the creation of the world or the creation of Adam and Eve.

God has one calendar and it starts in the spring. The Fall Appointments start in the seventh month of the year as defined by God.

Trend Update: God’s Fall Appointments, 2016

The God appointed fall appointments are the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles. Below is a brief 10 minute video that provides a framework for God’s fall appointed holidays.

Numbers 29:1 ‘Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall also have a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work. It will be to you a day for blowing trumpets.

See also Leviticus 23:23-25.

The first fall holiday has many names. It is called the Feast of Trumpets by Christians. It is recognized as the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. Some refer to it as the “Hidden Day” or the “Wedding of the Messiah”. In Judaism, it is called Yom Teruah which means the “Day of Blowing”.

It is the beginning of the civil new year. The date for the Yom Teruah is near October 2-3, 2016 (traditional Hebrew calendar) depending on the sighting of the new moon. The new year begins when the new moon is confirmed by two witnesses.

The second fall holiday is the Day of Atonement. See Leviticus 16. Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement is celebrated on Tishri 10th. It is the last day of the 40 day period of Teshuvah. This holiday is viewed at the holiest day of Judaism. The day is a Sabbath day of rest. Yom Kippur is the only day a fast is required. The day begins at sun down. This is the busiest day of the year for the high priest with multiple animal sacrifices. The beginning for the Day of Atonement in 2016 is October 11 at sun down.

On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the LORD; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work.’”

The third and last fall holiday on God’s calendar is Tabernacles. It is also called Sukkot, the Feast of Booths, the Festival of Tents, or the Feast of the Harvest because it was after the harvest in the fall. Simply put, it was also called “the feast” or “the festival”. This festival is a week-long festival from Tishri 15 to 21 on a Hebrew calendar. There are seven God appointed holidays communicated through the Old Testament Law. The first four were fulfilled to the day by Jesus Himself with His death, burial, resurrection, and the giving of the Holy Spirit. If the first four spring holidays were fulfilled on the God appointed holiday, why would the fall holidays be any different?

Jewish rabbis teach when the sun is in eclipse on God’s appointed holidays it is a bad omen for the world (no Biblical support for this claim).

Trend Update: Yom Teruah/Rosh Hashanah/Feast of Trumpets, September 2014

Posted in Fall Feasts, Prophecy, Rapture, Resurrection, Trend Update with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on September 24, 2014 by paulthepoke

Numbers 29:1 ‘Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall also have a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work. It will be to you a day for blowing trumpets.

The Feast of Trumpets is the only new moon holiday on God’s calendar. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, the head of years. This year, 2014 on the Gregorian calendar, the holiday begins on September 24, 25, or 26. Yom Teruah is declared when the crescent of the new moon is observed by two witness and confirmed by the high priest. By definition, it is a holiday no one knows the day or hour.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

Colossians 2:16-17 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day— things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

Yom Teruah is set aside by God with prophetic implications. The Feast of Trumpets is a promise for the future. Jesus is the reason. Resurrection and rapture, He makes it happen. The issue may not be the hour or the day. The issue may be the year…
